Election Audit: Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer tutors in career suicide

Those who follow politics closely know the true meaning of zaniness.  Here in Maricopa County, Arizona’s most populous county and the fourth most populous in the United States, we have a Republican elected County Recorder who defeated the democrat incumbent by a hair, (50.1% – 49.8%) and has, within his first term, spiraled out of the political orbit that put the unknown in office. Stephen Richer has declared former president Trump “unhinged” and a “liar,” for questioning the ballot audit process. Maricopa County is not a stand-alone, as this NBC WBRE-TV Eyewitness News headline indicates: “Luzerne County Director of Elections points to flaws with voting machines.” Luzerne County is in Pennsylvania.

Stephen Richer, whose current term ends Jan.1, 2025, joined with members of the Board of Supervisors, who obviously feel their integrity is being questioned by the audit, calling it a “sham process.” The best response to their bruised egos is, “It’s not about you!”

Richer, the new darling of the leftist local newspaper, which gave him a pre-election cold-shoulder, is pictured in a large, front page photo standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Sheriff Paul Penzone, who was elected with the help of at least $2 million* from Socialist multi-billionaire George Soros. His well-financed goal is to overhaul America’s criminal justice system in his radically skewed trajectory.

Maricopa County and the State of Arizona are home to multitudes of Trump supporters. Needlessly jamming a contrived thumb in their collective eyes is not a stellar start to a upwardly mobile political career. While it’s true he’s no longer in the Oval Office — now occupied by a dilapidated, unable to speak coherently extremist placeholder for Kamala Harris — Americans long for the top-notch economy, his international savvy, passion for securing our sovereign border and his steadfast support of the sole democracy in the mid east. Joe Biden’s handlers are doing the exact opposite, and the results are horrific.

Republicans are aligned with the GOP for a reason. It’s not a game we play. It requires commitment and being able to articulate to ourselves and others what drives our dedication. These are the worst of times and turning on ourselves aids the other side. Stephen Richer should be knowledgeable enough to grasp that basic fact.

Well stated SRAZ. I hope Mr. Richer reads this site. He’s a political novice and making some gigantic missteps. I voted for him over Fontes. But we can’t follow a wrong-headed Pied Piper off a cliff like lemmings. We do so to our own detriment.

Richer will definitely be poorer….at least by the votes in this household. We’ll vote for the best of his Republican challengers. There should be many.

  2. Trevor says:

These dishonest RINOS like open borders Janet loving Glenn Hamer backed Penzone. I’m sure the McCain/Ducey choice for Governor next year Karrin Robson who is the sister of unhinged RINO Andy Kunasek (Who called Paul Gosar a “Seditionist” and backed Penzone over Arpaio) backed Penzone with her rich hubby Ed Robson. Republicans would be wise to nominate someone else for Governor.

    • Realist says:

Good information on Karrin Kunasek Robson, Trevor. Thanks!!
She mistakenly thinks she can buy the governor’s office. Money is not a qualification. I’m supporting Kimberly Yee, a former state legislator and the current state treasurer. She was also tapped to speak at the 2016 Republican National Convention, and did an excellent job!

      • Trevor says:

Kimberly Yee is a very smart woman and a great candidate. I’m sure there are other candidates who will jump in who are great too.

    • Arizona Conservative Guy says:

Kimberly Yee’s credentials speak for themselves. And her time as state treasurer is a solid indicator that she can manage the state budget with optimum efficiency and integrity.

How many “greats” do you envision? I view that characteristic as one that is all too rare. Yee possesses it!

    • Fed Up says:

I hope you’re not thinking of Matt Salmon. His time has come and gone. This is the guy who lost to open border’s proponent Janet Napolitano, for Heaven’s sake!! He’s been getting rich from his China deals,

Nope! We’ve got Mark Kelly and Demand Daniel McCarthy in that red pocket already. Candidate McCarthy got trounced in the primary. Obama pal Kelly needs to get booted out of the senate before he does more damage voting party line with Nancy Pelosi and UpChuck Schumer.

      • Trevor says:

McCarthy is the most pathetic candidate I’ve seen in Arizona politics in a LONG time. His supporters are in a cult!

  3. Everyone says:

    Stephen, you WILL be primaried!

  4. GOP PC says:

The audit should be welcomed by all who desire facts and truth. There’s nothing complicated about this.

  5. Clementine says:

I voted for Stephen Richer. What I got in return was Adrian Fontes.
Won’t be making that mistake again.

  6. Kimball says:

Novice Stephen Richer should forget any further political aspirations he has swirling about in his head. He has permanently alienated a huge swath of the voters he needs. The people I talk politics with think he’s gone off the deep end. There are no conservatives who will follow him.

  7. Enuff says:

Arrogant fools are worse than obtuse ones. Winning a single election is not an indicator that anything goes. Was Richer previously a dem? Does anyone here know his political background? How long has he lived in Arizona?

    • Casper says:

Colluding with the opposition party and being resistant to shining a bright light on the election, it appears to me that Richer doesn’t want to have the ‘facts’ that he doesn’t want verified. Trump Derangement Syndrome is a contagious disease, contracted and spread by haters.

Hey Guys-N-Gals…TOTALLY OFF TOPIC but so funny that I HADDTA’ share it from G/P:

I watched the Senate review all the way through before I saw the BoS crap fest. Bill Gates and Steven Richer both disappointed, displaying character attributes that forever take them out of consideration for election to any office in my book. Instead of crawling all around the issue, leaving the slime trail of a pair of snails, consider what they could have said: “We understand the election results disappointed and we understand the desire to expose any misfeasance or malfeasance that might have lead to such a surprising result. We believe we conducted a free and fair election and that the results honestly reflect what happened. In a job this detailed and complicated there are always random errors but they are usually small and random and don’t accumulate to the benefit or detriment of either party in a race. We are sure a full recount will reflect that and we hope it is completed sooner rather than later so the people are reassured in the fairness and accuracy of the process.” Instead they held a yackfest using every debate trick in the book to deflect from the issue and cast the recount in as negative a light as possible. Back to Karen Fann’s review meeting, it was a calm and thorough overview of everything to date, regarding security, oversight and professionalism. If your head is hurting from all the obvious lying that’s going on in the press, spend an hour and a quarter watching Karen Fann’s meeting and you’ll come away calmly reassured that you’re not going crazy. It’s on Youtube (for now?) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZWTMuwy5CQ The segment that contained the bomb shell about the deleted election database was intriguing. The servers were handed over, rather than being accessible in a running state on Recorder’s premises. They did exactly what forensics experts would do. As he said, you never just turn on a system delivered to you in a powered down state. They opened the boxes, removed the six hard drives and in an environment where they were strictly write-protected, made bit-for-bit exact duplicates on a fresh set of drives. Then they set about figuring what was on the fresh drives. They found two were mirror images of the operating system and four were a RAID array with the data. There are several types of RAID so they asked for the specifics and were rebuffed. No problem, forensics experts can find that out, it just takes a little time. The process required them to look at the Master File Table and when they did they found a bunch of deletions. Deletions don’t erase data, they just mark that file and the space it takes up on the drive as available for re-use. Undeletion is relatively trivial and the files were recovered in due time and discovered to be the missing election database. If someone at the Recorder’s office didn’t want something seen, they were too smart by half. In fact, by now the Audit’s detractors have thrown up so much dust they’ve convinced every sentient being in Maricopa County and the US that they’re hiding something awful. If the Senate were to try to curtail the Audit now we’d probably set out to recall them all.

  10. jakesez says:

Sorry, you lost me about half way through

  11. 1776 says:

Sorry, Jakesez, I’ll try to find smaller words next time.

    • jakesez says:

Size of words wasn’t the problem. I agreed with most of what you were saying but the one paragraph was long and consisted of many different items.

    • State Committeeman says:

I understood your comment perfectly. Appreciate you taking the time to write the summary.

  12. jojo says:

Please come to Pima Cty next. They have a history of cheating and the GOP continually lets it happen. The numbers didn’t add up and I believe Brandon Martin won and that means another congressional seat. WHERE ARE REPUBLICANS YELLING ABOUT PIMA? I’m tired of the PC, spineless GOP that won’t stand up for us

  13. GreenValleyGal says:

Gateway Pundit wrote a story April 28 about Pima County Elections. 2006 Pima County, AZ Investigation Found Computer Technician Exported Election Data from Voting Machines and Manipulated It Offline to Get the Outcome They Desired

  14. GreenValleyGal says:

Patriot John Brakey of Audit Elections USA was one of many trying to get to the bottom of this Pima County fraud. He is on the current team conducting the Maricopa County 2020 audit.
