GOP scores major victory defeating disastrous S.1

Leftist newspapers unified in their support of devious bill

This blatantly deceitful headline appeared in this morning’s Arizona Republic: “Sinema, Kelly back voting rights bill blocked by GOP.”

The newspaper best illustrates the depths to which it has sunken by skewing not only the news, but also the truth. H.R. 1, the House bill’s companion legislation was nearly 900 pages and unlikely read by any congressional members who were heralding it.

S. 1, the democrat backed bill, deceitfully titled, “For the People Act of 2021,” represented a major power grab and assault on the First Amendment, intended to give democrats total control over our election process, the federal government total control over state election laws, and, among other egregious proposals, precludes states from updating their own voter files as well as giving unspecified $millions of federal taxpayer subsidies to candidates to fund their campaigns. The bill, requiring no proof of the voter’s identity, expands voter registration (e.g., automatic and same-day registration) and voting access (e.g., vote-by-mail and early voting). It also limits removing voters from voting rolls, who have moved and are no longer eligible to vote in a specific precinct, benefiting democrat political incumbents. It drops the voter registration age to 16. And, of course, it would establish Election Day as a national holiday.

This list includes the “subject terms” that are assigned to S.1.

Read this illuminating opinion piece by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), printed in USAToday, part of the same publishing network as the Arizona Republic. Sen Lee explains the nefarious scheme. The leftist newspaper leaves no doubt as to where it stands on the power grabbing legislation using a bold banner under the headline to assert its position.

This is the deceptively titled “For the People Act of 2021,” known as S.1. It is a companion piece to the House version, H.R. 1. Americans should be grateful for Republican diligence which has kicked it to the curb.

The dims refer to ballot integrity as “voter suppression,” implying that having to show ID to vote is a con to keep minorities from voting. It’s an insult to minorities, who are increasingly ditching the dim party.

FYI Katie Hobbs is all in for HR1. Just another reason she should not be Governor.

      It figures. She’s a demoncrat.

We need to recruit conservatives as new Precinct Committeemen whenever we meet someone who aligns with our views. This is vitally important.

Media such as the Arizona Repulsive has become such a joke. I believe NOTHING from the media or the federal, state and local government. “For the People Act” is a perfect example of media and politician’s lies.

  4. VINOAZ says:

In general, facts and truth do not matter to the democrats and their leftist enablers. Two mistakenly told the truth yesterday, Schumer and a black man (who I don’t know), both confirmed it is about power and winning in 2022 and beyond. They do not care about voter integrity, honesty or fairness. Voter age should not be lowered to 16, but raised to 25 when the brains’ reasoning ability matures. Frankly, if you have nothing to lose you should not be able to vote yourself largess from the public treasury. Paying income taxes should be a criteria for voting.

    • Jack says:

Jefferson thought voting should be limited to property owners since they have a stake in the process. Sixteen year olds have limited life experience, still live under their parent’s roof, eat the food they buy and sleep in the beds they provide. They have no business voting.

This irreverent but accurate tweet expands on what’s contained in the bill I call not FOR The People, but AGAINST The People. And let’s remain mindful that “The People” the dims are trying to screw over is US!
