Diversity, inclusion go off the rails at MC Attorney’s Office

June 22, 2021

Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel has new mission

In an office whose duty is prosecution of criminals, Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel has, instead, hopped onboard the inclusivity and diversity bandwagon, signing a “unity pledge.”

Recently, the appointed county attorney bizarrely dismissed the charges against the anti-police rioters marauding in downtown Phoenix, issuing this statement:

“It is the decision of this office that it is in the interests of justice to not proceed.”  She concluded her statement with these words: “I believe that just because we can legally pursue charges does not always mean that we should. It is not an easy decision to step away from a case when we believe crimes were committed, but in this case, it is the right thing to do.”

This absurd action emboldening criminality is why she needs to be challenged by someone who understands the difference between a social worker mentality and doing the job of prosecuting criminals and keeping the county safe for law abiding residents.

Instead there is a new focus. An interoffice email from the MCAO Diversity Committee lavished praise on President Biden for making history by signing a law recognizing Juneteenth as a federal holiday.

“Hello MCAO Community, the DEI Committee is going to start sending out a “Spotlight on Diversity” email at the beginning of each month.  Starting with July, we will spotlight an MCAO employee, sharing the diversity and value they bring to our office.  If you or someone you know would be a great spotlight, please let us know!”

The email also noted that “June is Pride month, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, giving its history along with this “Fun fact”: A few years ago, organizers decided it is too hot in Phoenix to have a June parade and festival.  Phoenix Pride parade and festival now happens in early November.”

Included in the email was a list of Inclusion tips:

– Get familiar with the LBGTQ+ spectrum

– Learn terminology

– Use inclusive language in communication (instead of Ladies and Gentlemen, try folks, friends, community members)

– Participate in local events and groups (consider joining the LGBTQ+ ERG as an ally)

– Respect people’s pronouns and names

The tagline on the lengthy memo, announcing monthly messages on this topic, states: “Diversity in itself does not create inclusion — an inclusive environment must be intentionally designed, nurtured, and supported.”

Allister Adel’s selection by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors following the resignation of former Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery when he was appointed to the Arizona Supreme Court was greeted with fanfare proclaiming her as the first female to head the prosecutor’s office.

She should not have been identified by her plumbing, but by her leftward bent.

AZ’s U.S. Senate race: Jim Lamon can defeat Mark Kelly

June 21, 2021

Political experience can be a plus, vacillating while deciding where to land next is opportunism

After mulling entering the governor’s race, term-limited Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich has announced his intent to run for the U.S. Senate, challenging radical leftist and Second Amendment restrictionist Mark Kelly. Democrat Kelly won a special election to fill the vacancy created following the death of Sen. John McCain. He is now running for a full six-year term, a terrifying concept since Kelly is a less than sterling character, who has forged a tight friendship with Barack Obama — the manipulator behind the Harris/Biden curtain — and enriched himself through his dealings with Communist China. Kelly has already amassed $6,009,088.59 according to the April FEC quarterly report.

Last cycle he out-raised Joe Biden who was running for president. Ask yourself why money was flowing into his campaign and who would benefit by his election.  Kelly’s Socialist benefactor George Soros, facilitates Kelly’s fundraising through his over 206 U. S. sub-rosa organizations. Act Blue, which has hosted D.C. fundraisers for Kelly, isn’t on this list. Kelly’s campaign ads slickly omit the word “democrat.”

Mark Kelly, AZ Dem senate candidate wanted ex-wife jailed,” is chock full of information, and definitely worth your time. Kelly’s former astronaut colleagues blasted him in an op-ed.

Meanwhile, former President Trump has called Brnovich “lackluster,” and accused him of  “doing little” in dealing with Arizona’s  election audit. Brnovich responds with his obtuse go-to reminder that he’s the son of Yugoslavian immigrants.

In an effort to generate support among MAGA loyalists, Brnovich is finally taking on his national counterpart, U. S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on issues relating to Arizona’s election audit. Read his letter here.

As his term concludes, Brnovich has also remembered the Second Amendment, suddenly attempting to draw a contrast between himself and gun control activist Mark Kelly. In a pre-election alliance with Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, Brnovich is participating in a coalition of 24 states to uphold the Second Amendment at the U. S. Supreme Court. They are urging the high court to review a New Jersey law that limits magazine capacities and requires gun owners to surrender certain magazines to law enforcement. The Second Amendment was not previously a front burner issue for the bearded Brnovich.

These recent moves are calculated to coincide with Brnovich’s senate campaign.

We urge our readers to learn more about AZ GOP Senate candidate Jim Lamon, a constitutional conservative and Fortune 500 solar power executive whose successful business, employing 1,600 locals is headquartered in Arizona. He is right on the issues and not a termed out, vacillating politician hustling his next gig.

Catholic Bishops vote to rebuke pro-abortion Biden

June 20, 2021

Although abortion is in direct contradiction with the pro-life teachings of the Catholic Church, Pres. Joe Biden attempts to straddle the issue by asserting himself as a “pro-choice” Catholic.

The “choice,” is, of course, the taking of an innocent, pre-born human life.

Biden is so committed to abortion, he even selected Ron Klain, an outspoken pro-abortion activist to serve as his White House chief of staff.

The Christian Post reported in June 2018, shortly after Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement, Klain took to Twitter to ask people to follow “our great leaders.” One of the “great leaders” cited by Klain is Ilyse Hogue, the president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, a prominent pro-abortion advocacy organization. NARAL prefers the sanitized abbreviated version of its name, which is actually National Abortion Rights Action League. The group would oppose any pro-life Supreme Court replacement

There’s no mystery surrounding Biden’s selection of Klain as chief of staff. Asserting the right to slaughter pre-born babies is a unifying issue for leftists.

The Catholic Church, however, views life as sacred, which presents a conundrum for far-left Biden, while the church remains consistent in its teachings.  In a critical rebuke, the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights lists 32 distinct departures from Catholic teachings by the policies of President Biden.  It’s worth your time to review them.

The faithfully pro-life U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) voted overwhelmingly to draft a formal document on the meaning of the Eucharist after a serious debate on whether President Biden and other Catholic politicians who support abortion policies are worthy of receiving Communion at Mass.

More than 73% of the U.S. Bishops casting ballots at the recent virtual conference supported tasking the USCCB’s doctrine committee to draft language on maintaining consistency with the Eucharist. A section of the document is expected to include a specific admonition to Catholic politicians and other public figures who defy church teaching on abortion and other core doctrinal issues.

The vote tally announced Friday was 168 bishops in favor, 55 opposed and six bishops abstaining.

This Catholic Vote survey conducted June 1 – 8, 2021, shows that Catholic respondents expect more from Catholic elected officials than they’re getting.

Calif. launches vaccine passports cloaked as convenience

June 19, 2021

Americans who have received both COVID-19 vaccines were handed a card with the admonishment to “keep it with you, like a driver’s license.”  The card notes the dates of the inoculations, granting certain privileges such as allowing recipients to travel freely and attend indoor events and even college.  Having such a document invokes the dreaded, “Show me your papers” mandate that is a cultural metaphor for life in a police state.

The pandemic is essentially over, but governmental control over American citizens is just beginning.

California democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is the subject of a recall, has said that the system he has put in place does not constitute a “vaccine passport” that businesses would use to filter people who are not vaccinated, though it does a good job of portraying one. Newsom mandates that entities hosting large indoor gatherings, such as concerts or sports events, verify that all attendees either have proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test or vaccination.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey issued an executive order on April 19, 2021, stating that no business can demand verification of inoculation.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a democrat, heads the only state that has an official vaccine passport, known as the Excelsior Pass, which is linked to its state vaccination database, and verifies vaccination status — an overreach and massive invasion of privacy that should terrify any American.

Though California’s portal functions as a website, rather than an app, it’s otherwise essentially the same thing, according to California’s chief technology innovation officer, Rick Klau.

“This is very similar in concept to what New York launched with Excelsior Pass, which is an opportunity for a resident, in our case the state of California, to have a digital copy of their vaccination record,” Klau said.

“An opportunity?” Giving up privacy for convenience is a slippery slope no thinking American should willingly travel.

Biden: One Independence Day for Americans is not enough

June 18, 2021

Biden establishes Juneteenth as a new holiday in a blatant effort to keep black voters in the democrat party

The Arizona Republic is well known for its far left slant, which is why subscriptions have plummeted.  It is also not above skewing facts when it suits its purposes. Today the objects of its bile spew are Arizona Congressmen Paul Gosar (CD-4) and Andy Biggs (CD-5). Their crime is one that is not found in the Arizona Revised Statutes Criminal Code. They have been elected by the citizens of their congressional districts because they are conservatives — a concept that is anathema to the newspaper that has made clear it hires reporters based on their ethnicity.

Congressmen Gosar and Biggs are being eviscerated for voting NO on S. 475, the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, which establishes June 19, as a legal public holiday. Juneteenth was the mispronounced term used for June Nineteenth. It is tied to the history of enslaved blacks in Galveston, Texas, learning that they had been emancipated over two years earlier following President Abraham Lincoln’s September 22, 1862 Emancipation Proclamation, which abolished slavery.

Lost in all of the newly provoked racial discord is the fact that Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican U.S. President. Elected November 6, 1860 he was dedicated to ending slavery, which Southern democrats, who had seceded from the union, battled to preserve. The U.S. Civil War (1861-1865), in which an estimated 750,000 Americans died, was fought to end slavery. The Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution passed by congress in 1865 reaffirmed the abolishment of slavery.

Read Paul Gosar’s logical statement explaining his vote.  We have also copied it here:

“Our country is divided, and the cultural and political Marxists are continuing their relentless efforts to divide this country further.

Juneteenth is more debunked Critical Race Theory in action. I reject racism. I reject the racial division people are promoting. I voted no because this proposed holiday does not bring us together, it tears us apart.

I cannot support efforts that further racial divisions in this country. We have one Independence Day, and it applies equally to all people of all races.”

Rammed through by democrats exploiting the death of career criminal George Floyd, the Juneteenth holiday vote tally can be seen here. Of a total of 415 votes cast, the democrats all voted in unison. Republicans split, with 195 joining the democrats, and 14 Republicans voting against the creation of a new holiday. Two Republicans, Dan Crenshaw (TX)  and Patrick McHenry (NC) did not vote.

Joe Biden, a democrat who has fomented division, wasted no time signing the newly established holiday into law on Thursday.

Desperate border state Guvs Ducey, Abbott request help…

June 17, 2021

Gov. DeSantis responds

Governors Doug Ducey (R-AZ) and Greg Abbott (R-TX) recently sent this 2-page letter (click to enlarge) to their fellow governors urgently requesting help securing the border that they describe as “a disaster” and “a crisis” ignored by the Biden administration. The two governors cite the Emergency Management Assistance Compact that empowers states to help one another in times of disaster or emergency. It was originally enacted in 1996.

Gov. Ron DeSantis, (R-Fla) was first to respond, stating:

“America’s border security crisis impacts every state and every American. Governors Abbott and Ducey recently sent out a call for help to every state in the nation, needing additional law enforcement manpower and other resources to aid with border security. I’m proud to announce today that the state of Florida is answering the call. Florida has your back.”

When the federal government shows no commitment to protecting our sovereign border or ensuring the safety and security of American citizens, it’s good to know that this crisis is not a back burner issue for governors who have to deal with the illegal invasion by providing benefits to those who wantonly disregard our laws. Rewarding lawbreakers only encourages more of the same, depraved pedophiles and deadly drunk and wrong way driver’s, among them. On March 24, — three months ago — Biden appointed VP Kamala Harris as border czar, but she has yet to give more than lip service punctuated by her notorious cackle, to the border.  Former President Trump has been invited to the border by Gov. Greg Abbott, and will be visiting it again Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

These numbers provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection show the staggering upsurge in illegal alien invaders. Be aware that “encounters” do not translate to “apprehensions.” Illegal crossings have surged by 674% in a year, with 180,034 reported in May.

Gateway Pundit unravels Arizona Mirror’s funding sources

June 16, 2021

News with a bought-and-paid for slant

This June 15, 2021 Gateway Pundit article, “EXCLUSIVE: The Arizona Mirror – The Far-Left Outlet That Creates Far-Left Narratives in Arizona Is Connected to Dark Money,” links to a 2018 Phoenix New Times report that described “a new media organization in town.”

Despite the Arizona Mirror claims of being “a journalism watchdog,“ and “an independent, nonprofit news organization focused on connecting public policy with the people it affects,” the funding sources are exposed as radical entities, “including left-leaning think tanks, voter outreach groups, and nine family planning centers that perform abortions.”  Mysteriously, its Form 990 tax filing links to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. See the 501( c)(3) tax exempt claims circled in red on the Gateway Pundit site.

Finding news with a conservative perspective is all but impossible. The opposition’s commitment is to altering public opinion through skewed reporting and strengthening the impact of the democrat party in Arizona. The Arizona Mirror’s small staff all previously worked for the Arizona Capitol Times and the Arizona Republic.

Be vigilant. Our previously red state is now maroon. Five of the state’s nine U.S. Representatives are democrats as are both U.S. Senators, a first since democrats Ernest McFarland and Carl Hayden served simultaneously from 1941 to 1953. In 2020 Arizona gave its 11 Electoral College votes to Joe Biden, not replicated since Bill Clinton carried the state in 1996. Previously, the last time that dismal phenomenon occurred was in 1949, when Harry Truman was Arizona’s nominee.

AZ now has $billions in magic money to spend

June 15, 2021

Arizona is on fire. But the devastating flames that are consuming vast numbers of homes and acres in rural counties are not the sole reason. Rational citizens are inflamed over the $trillions the radical OBiden administration* is spending. The leftwing Arizona Republic newspaper calls it “federal money,” never acknowledging that it’s money taken from taxpaying citizens in ever-increasing amounts.

An example in today’s edition is this headline, “How Arizona plans to spend federal COVID relief money.” The article’s first sentence? “More than $1 billion in federal COVID-19 relief funds has flowed into Arizona’s health department, and state officials are working to spend it over the next two to three years to make sure the state is better prepared for future health crises.”

Get that? “More than $1 billion flowed.” Reporters Stephanie Innes and Alison Steinbach never question the source of the “flow.” The three pages of radically leftist, sycophantic coverage is an outstanding example of why the Arizona Republic is gasping its last breaths.

* Washington Examiner headline: “Obama says Biden is ‘finishing’ the job of his administration.”

Flag Day and Patriots’ birthdays: More than a coincidence

June 14, 2021

Today, June 14th is celebrated as Flag Day. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation establishing this day as national Flag Day. Many patriotic Americans fly the flag daily as a means of expressing pride in our great nation.

Today is also the birthday of President Donald Trump and former six-term Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio, whose 24-year career is unmatched in Arizona history.

We wish them both a wonderful day and thank them for their dedication to the Constitution, our nation and the law.
