“Conservative” AZ Gov candidate Kari Lake was an Obama democrat. Major new video added

Talk is cheap…actions matter: Kari Lake revealed as Republican impostor who praised Obama’s leftist pick Merrick Garland for the U.S. Supreme Court

Former newscaster Kari Lake has entered Arizona’s governor’s race, characterizing herself as a “conservative” Republican. Her record tells a different story. Using her married name Kari L. Halperin records show she donated to both John Kerry and Barack Obama and getting testy while asked about her political switch as reported by leftist Mediaite.

She has bizarrely compared herself to Ronald Reagan who was once a democrat before seeing the light — a path she took in reverse. Kari Lake, who has honed her skills on camera after years of reading teleprompter scripts on Channel 10, is no Ronald Reagan, switching instead from Republican to a democrat. Lake is a political opportunist who has never held political office and has nothing to recommend her for Arizona’s top job. When asked about her political duplicity, she classily retorted, “Who gives a crap?” according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Kari Lake donated $850 to John Kerry’s and Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in 2004 and 2008, leaving the Republican Party, reregistering as an Independent before switching again to become a democrat in 2008. She opportunistically switched back when she thought it would benefit her.

Lake has also hired Mark Buse, John McCain’s senior advisor, to run her campaign.

It’s no mystery why the Republican-hating local newspaper headlined its report following Saturday’s Election Integrity rally featuring former President Donald Trump, “Lake stands out among GOP candidates.” The blatant scheme at play is to make the least credible candidate appear to be the frontrunner. Don’t be conned by the conniving, leftist Arizona Republic.

There is too much at stake to trust a manipulative political charlatan with running the state of Arizona which now has two democrat U.S. Senators for the first time since Ernest McFarland (born in 1894) and Carl Hayden (born in the pre-statehood Arizona Territory in 1878) represented the state. Hayden had been the territorial sheriff and first ran for congress in 1911 in anticipation of Arizona’s 1912 statehood. Both Hayden and McFarland joined the military during World War I.

Throwing good sense to the winds is a recipe for disaster for the state of Arizona. Seeing Red AZ endorses State Treasurer Kimberly Yee in the AZ governor’s race. She does far more than reading prepared scripts on a teleprompter. Her solid conservative credentials are impeccable.

This is faux “conservative” Kari Lake — who was actually a registered democrat — endorsing leftist Merrick Garland, Barack Obama’s pick to replace conservative Justice Antonin Scalia on the U.S. Supreme Court:

I was at the Trump rally (And it was a blast!) but I was there when Kari got cheers from random people. Quite cultish. And also for Karrin Taylor Robson not to appear but some of her volunteers or paid staffers shows you clearly she is the establishment candidate. But then, she has no chance.

    • Clementine says:

One thing Karrin Kunasek-Taylor-Robson does have is a very rich, developer sugar daddy husband, who can finance her outrageous aspirations. His large donations to Ducey ensured her a seat on the Board of Regents, which is a slim credential for being governor.

Robson claimed she had “previous commitments” precluding her from attending the voter integrity rally featuring Pres. Trump.

    • Clementine says:

Ed Robson must be making it worth Benson’s while to reconfigure wifey into a plausible candidate…for the ill-informed.

  2. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

Glad to see SRAZ is making this endorsement. While Kari Lake was trying to decide which party she wanted to align with next, Kimberly Yee, a lifelong Republican was elected to both the state House and Senate and is currently the State Treasurer shouldering the enormous responsibility of managing the state money supplied by the taxpayers. One has zero credentials and the other has them in spades.

  3. hoi polloi boy says:

Thanks SR. I was wondering why the local “newspaper” was being so kind to Ms Lake.

    • Realist says:

Kari Lake has shown she has no Republican core. She can call herself a conservative or the man in the moon. It doesn’t matter. She is an opportunist seeking status she has not earned. What has she ever done for our state? Her party hopping is a sure sign of lacking substance. How could any Arizona voter trust her on any level regardless of the issue at hand?

  4. jakesez says:

I don’t see why any one is surprised that Ms. Lake would call herself a conservative. Most democrats like Hilary and Obama have called themselves a conservative at one time or another. Ms. Lake admitted that she was once a democrat and gave money to democratic candidates. She has hired Mr. Buse, a McCain campaign manager, and uses many of McCain’s’ people to assist her in this election. It is very easy for a democrat and an establishment republican to switch parties as they believe in many of the same things. No big thing. Democrat one day and an establishment republican the next. Gov. Ducey, Mitt Romney, Jeff flake, etc, etc, etc.

    • Justin says:

All too true, Jake. I just hope voters aren’t taken in by her appearing as a smiling entity in their family rooms when the local news was on. Most conservatives don’t watch the alphabet networks, but local news isn’t on the stations we watch.

  5. Enuff says:

Lake can attempt to reconfigure herself, but has previously been suspended for using profanity on air. Most notably dropping the “F” bomb, claiming she thought she was off mic. She also used the Lord’s name in vain. We can do better than this.

  6. Regular Guy says:

I personally really like Kari Lake.

That said she is an actress. She and her husband donated to John Kerry’s campaign and Obama’s campaign both times. And she is an ACTRESS.

She says all the right things, just like its from a script and she’s very good at it. She’s personable and likable.

No chance anyone should support her for governor. There’s no CONCRETE evidence of anything there.

Feels like a spoiler to ensure the real conservative doesn’t get the requisite votes and the purple RINO makes it through the primary.

Hmmmm.. where have we seen that before?

    • State Committeeman says:

You say you “personally like Kari Lake,” then proceed to list all that’s wrong with her as a candidate. I agree with your assessment that she will be a “spoiler,” ultimately aiding and abetting the democrat, but what does she actually offer but party switching duplicity? She has no credentials for running the state of Arizona and all of its unique problems. All she’s ever done is donate to democrats when she was one herself, read a script and give free rein to her foul mouth.

You are right in calling her out as an “actress.”

  7. jojo says:

Anyone associated with the McCain democrat is suspect to me. Don’t trust her a bit. Steve Gaynor is my pick hands down. Check him out. Yee has been in government employment too long. NEW EYES OF THE SAME OLD PROBLEMS is what we need. IMHO.

    • Trevor says:

Gaynor has no chance in the primary whatsoever. Good guy but his chances are nill.

    • Seen It All says:

Steve Gaynor might be a nice guy though who knows?
(he only emerges when looking for a political post) but has no experience that would make him viable in running the complexities of state government. That’s an odd qualification.

Yet in the case of extremely qualified, conservative Kimberly Yee, you denigrate her for her resume that has made her deserving of the governor’s office.

So let’s be clear. You think experience is a disqualifier and zero experience is a winning attribute? Bizarre.

    • State Delegate says:

Your “humble opinion” is just that. You might add “uninformed.” Steve Gaynor was not invited onstage for a discussion with President Trump. State Treasurer Kimberly Yee was. In fact, Gaynor was nowhere to be seen. I was there. Were you?

  8. Seeing Red AZ says:

    Note to Nicole Garcia:

None of your comments will be posted. We welcome discussion, but this is not your site and you are not going to send one profanity-laced and insult-laden comment after another in rapid succession favoring former registered democrat, democrat donor and democrat endorser Kari Lake and expect to see them posted here. You are a losing candidate yourself. No wonder you’re teaming up with her. She is as qualified to be governor as you were to be mayor.

    • Frankly Speaking says:

Nicole Garcia is very much like Kari Lake. They each think their face negates their need for qualifications. I frequently passed a couple of Nicole Garcia’s campaign signs. Her picture and name dominated the sign since she had nothing to offer as qualifications for running the nation’s fifth largest city. It obviously didn’t occur to her to start with running for city council first. That wasn’t grand enough. Qualifications matter. Kari Lake also has none. Being an Obama donating democrat and reading a script as your line of work are not qualifications.

  9. Don't believe what they say; Watch what they do. says:

It was blatantly obvious that Kari had paid off one of the supposed RSBN reporters to keep saying she was getting cheers from the audience. If you’re a TRUE conservative, you don’t HAVE to buy favors like some cheap lefty lib.

  10. Frankly Speaking says:

Obama donor Kari Lake is a slippery opportunist. She has suddenly cuddled up to President Trump (vilified and despised by the Obama cultists) because she thinks it would benefit her. She obviously thinks Republicans are easily duped fools. I’ve noted this before…the GOP is symbolized by the elephant, which is known for its long memory.

  11. D.B. Cooper says:

With the focus on the fraudulent Kari Lake none of us should forget the duplicity of Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, a political newcomer who also ran as a conservative but stood with the left against the audit.

Richer called President Trump “unhinged.” We’d have to be unhinged to vote for Richer again. Kari Lake is cut from the same devious cloth, and trying the same charade by running for AZ Governor as a conservative, though she’s been outed as having been a democrat who donated to the campaigns of Barack Obama and John Kerry.

Actual conservatives will not be fooled twice. We were too trusting the first time around. Won’t be this time!

  12. Not Fooled says:

The shallow world of television news reading is much different from being in the trenches and having to respond to a wide variety of complexities involved in running a state government. In the United States, there are 50 governors. In the world of news reading, they are as common as sand on the beach. Obama donor Kari Lake is credential-less….unless you count her democrat registration.
