Arresting reporters aids circulation

Given the appallingly low rate of subscribers at the Trump-hating, Hillary-endorsing, Biden-supporting, Arizona Republic newspaper, this recent AP headline, “China paper’s circulation booms after arrests of staff,” tucked away on Page 13 of the Business Section, was intriguing.

As conservatives, we don’t advocate communist-style news suppression though it relentlessly thrives at the uni-voice local newspaper where there is no dissent from the rock-solid leftist lurch.

The increase in circulation in Hong Kong was in protest of the government’s repressive tactics. If you haven‘t already done so, the loudest voice we have in protest is to cancel subscriptions. Call: 1-800-332-6733. It’s a great feeling not to pay ever-increasing fees to be insulted.

Would such a raid work here? Editorialist Elvia Diaz, along with columnists EJ Montini and Laurie Roberts would be a good place to start.

The Arizona Republic newspaper’s executive editor, Greg Burton has pledged his commitment to Wokeism, via hiring and workplace ratios. Ethnicity, skin pigmentation and whether we sit or stand in the bathroom….traits which are beyond our control, take precedence in this skewed environment. Experience and quality of work take a back seat to your DNA. As a white male, Greg Burton ought to resign based on the shame he carries not being a minority.

For the first time ever, the AZ Repulsive cancelled the newspaper on Labor Day, ostensibly to give their employees the day off to spend with their families. It was actually a cost saving measure. We cancelled the following day, since both my wife and I had to show up at work and do our jobs. We’ve threatened to cut ties several times, but actually doing so felt great!! We save the money we would have spent and treat ourselves, the pleasure of which is even more enjoyable knowing where the money came from. Plus the heartburn has magically disappeared!!

We finally had our fill when the newspaper began charging to send us a bill. They want remaining subscribers to have payments deducted from their accounts, so they don’t see the escalating additional charges. The stores, credit card companies and utility companies don’t add additional fees for sending bills. I’ve called and said we don’t want the so called “premium editions” which are nothing but ads. Those are $5 each as is the paper bill!. If you call and complain to the people in the Philippines who answer the calls, they will remove the charges, but you have to call EVERY month. That was the straw that broke the “camel’s back” for us. We are now totally free of the AZ Repugnant.
