Leftist word police have oversized role in manipulating news

‘Cowpeople’ and indigenous persons as boys, men, Indian tribes vanish

When the anti-Second Amendment radicals got steam behind them, parents could no longer buy little Johnny a cap gun and holster for his birthday. They vanished from toy shelves as America’s new morality police deemed them violent and unacceptable.  As reported in the Washington Times, kindergarteners have been suspended for pointing an index finger at a friend and saying, “bang-bang!” The only place the once ubiquitous toys can be found is on a “classic retro toys” site.

There is a definite double standard hovering just below the anti-gun outrage. When John Hinckley Jr. attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan who required surgery in 1981 to remove a bullet lodged in his lung, also shooting a police officer, secret service officer and permanently disabling Reagan’s press secretary, Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity. Although institutionalized for psychiatric treatment, he was fortunate enough to find leftist U.S. District Judge Paul L. Friedman — nominated to the federal bench by Bill Clinton — who quietly let him leave for unaccompanied outings that lengthened over time to a full, unconditional release.

Imagine that scenario if the assassination attempt was made on a democrat president.

The local newspaper, which has deemed itself the new language police, has written a series of reports about Arizona’s Indian tribes, some of which were formerly identified as Hopi, Navajo, (now known as Dine), Papago (now Tohono O’odham), Zuni (now A:shiwi), Yavapai (four distinctly different names!) and others. These and all tribes within the United States are considered sovereign nations, whose members oddly can vote in our elections though there is no reciprocal action for non-tribal Americans.

With political correctness the order of the day, the local newspaper is obviously in a contortionist quandary. Accompanying an oversize front page photo is the headline using the loathsome and politically incorrect word, “Indian,“ since the topic is the “Miss Indian Arizona pageant,” which has been in existence for 60 years. The larger type headline is, “Defying myth of ‘Indian Princess.” Immediately following that in today’s edition is a lengthy article headlined “Instilling pride,” which surprisingly was not about homosexuality, but proclaims, “a new festival in Tempe  elevating Arizona’s indigenous art.”

Navigating these conceived-to-separate words must have given the Arizona Republic’s executive editor Greg Burton a well deserved case of heartburn. Earlier this year we wrote, AZ newspaper bows at diversity altar, rejects diversity of thought.”Now would be  a good time to review it. Recent news reports identify perpetrators or victims of crime as, “the person,” rather than “the man or woman.”

Thanks to the Society of Professional Journalists, our language has undergone an outrageous manipulation intended to alter public opinion, which the first line of its preamble readily admits: “Members of the Society of Professional Journalists believe that public enlightenment is the forerunner of justice and the foundation of democracy.“ Their idea of “enlightenment” can be found in these facts leading into the 2016 presidential election as POLITCO reported on a study revealing only 7 percent of reporters identify as Republican.

  1. one who knows says:

Use the Repugnant for wrapping dead fish only – that is ALL it’s good for!

  2. Mr.& Mrs. America says:

I gather that according to the AZ Repukelick he only people who are not allowed to feel “pride” are high achieving, straight, white conservative males.
We cancelled after the Hillary endorsement, so no longer read the BS. Have also created a trip fund from the savings and enjoy our travels much more than being insulted each and every morning. It was just a bad habit, which we feel healthier breaking.

  3. Maggie says:

The idiotic pronoun usage is even used when there is a vehicular homicide involving a jaywalker. Any indicator of whether the victim is a man or woman is apparently too offensive, ranking right up there with ethnicity. And if someone is hit walking after the bars close in certain neighborhoods, it’s not difficult to guess that the victim is not a corporate CEO.

  4. Matt DeGennaro says:

The worst thing to be in today’s world of absurdity is a high performing, white male. Instead of rising like cream (oops! bad analogy.) to the top, there are penalties put in place by fools like Greg Burton that punish or reward job applicants based on qualifications over which they have no ability to change, such as ethnicity or gender. I have an acquaintance whose white bread, blonde son secured a minority teaching slot at a prestigious university because one of his grandparents is one half American Indian. He used this fact as if it were gold, which it turned out to be.

    • Frankly Speaking says:

That minority ethnicity ploy worked for democrat US Sen. Elizabeth Warren who claimed to be an American Indian because she “had high cheekbones”! She secured a cushy law professor job at Harvard using that scam. And tried to use it to further her presidential aspirations, until she was outed. Donald Trump called her “Pocahontas,” which always made me laugh!!

  5. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

What is so abhorrent is the now prevalent democrat lockstep mentality goes against what Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King stated when he said, “I have a dream, I long for the day when my children will be judged by the content of their character…not by the color of their skin.” That day has come and been rejected by fools such as Greg Burton, who do exactly the opposite of MLK’s dream.

  6. Mohave Mike says:

Pres. Reagan was known for his sense of humor even in the most serious of circumstances such as being wheeled into surgery following the attempted assassination, He was quoted as saying to the surgical team, “I hope you’re all Republicans!”

    • D.B. Cooper says:

In my lifetime, he was only topped as president by Donald J. Trump, who was constructing hundreds of miles of the border wall, which have been dismantled by Joe “Let’s go Brandon” Biden‘s handlers.

We should never lose sight of the fact, however, that it was Reagan who signed the Simpson-Mazzoli Act in 1986, supposedly a onetime thing, which opened the floodgates to illegal immigration, now being expanded and exploited by the nitwit demonrats who are promising to pay illegals who claim they suffered hardships breaking into the USA, $450,000 EACH, for their criminality. We will not be hosting Thanksgiving for those fools this year Maybe never again. We’ve sworn off of demonrats (blood or not) for the foreseeable future. They are the enemies of all of our children and grandchildren.
