Voter suppression claims were a hoax
Two democrat U.S. Senators, Joe Manchin (WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ), on Wednesday evening joined unified Republicans to save our nation. We have not previously been fans of Arizona’s senior senator, Kyrsten Sinema, but owe her a debt of gratitude for this courageous action in opposition to her own party. The vote was 52 – 48 to maintain the 60 vote threshold.(Video of the final vote.)
Although The New York Post recently editorialized, “The only reason to kill the filibuster: to empower Democrats,” the radically left, hemorrhaging subscriptions, Arizona Republic has gone apoplectic over Sen. Sinema’s resistance to eliminating the filibuster, prominently featuring a front page photo of her wearing a message-sending red dress and quoting — above the fold — the whining spokesman of the Primary Sinema PAC, established to remove her. “She just proved exactly what we’ve been saying: She prioritizes her own self-image as a ‘maverick’ trying to suck up to Republicans over delivering for her constituents.”
In a speech before the vote Manchin warned, “Allowing one party to exert complete control in the Senate with only a simple majority will only pour fuel on the fire of political whiplash and dysfunction that is tearing this nation apart…It’s time that we do the hard work to forge difficult compromises that can stand the test of time.”
TJ Helmstetter, a onetime associate communications director for the Democratic National Committee, is a guy who uses the incendiary word “Nazi” to describe Republicans. That’s the latest grotesque distortion used by the newspaper, which recently featured editorialist Elvia Diaz comparing illegal aliens breaching our sovereign border to Jews fleeing the Holocaust, resettling in Israel.
On January 15, 2022, Seeing Red AZ posted, “Freedom to Cheat Act: Left craves total fed takeover of elections.” Since then, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema has left Mark Kelly behind in the dust.
