Kris Mayes is a far-left democrat. She is also running for attorney general. Normally those facts would be enough to give her Page One placement in the radically left newspaper. Today, however, she is buried on Page 12 of Section B.
It’s enough to make the dwindling readership wonder, “What’s up?” Associated Press recently admitted, “US newspapers continuing to die at rate of 2 each week.“ Technology enabling us to have instantly updated news as close as our fingertips aside, this reporting duplicity is no doubt a contributing factor.
Today’s headline worthy of back paging is, “Mayes’ stock trades questioned.” Kris Mayes, a former political reporter at the newspaper prior to the June 2000 sale to Gannett, has been forced to acknowledge she was one of ten reporters who had purchased Central Newspapers stock (the parent company of the Arizona Republic) through a 401(k) account in advance of the sale. That’s an illegal practice known as insider trading.” Mayes, who claims she did nothing wrong, then left the newspaper to attend law school. As the well-known girlfriend of Gov. Janet Napolitano, she was admitted without question.
This morning’s edition acknowledges, “The value of the stock rose after the company announced it had put itself up for sale and more than doubled from there once a deal with Gannett was announced.”
If her name was not Kris Mayes known for her “closeness” to Janet Napolitano, she would have been a law school reject.
I had to read this post twice to fully grasp that Kris Mayes is an out-of-the-closet lesbian who disregarded the insider trading law and is now hoping to be the state’s chief law enforcement chief as Attorney General. With all of the crazy Californians moving here, anything could happen. They move here to escape the oppressive taxes to support the illegals that Gavin Newsom welcomes and then bring their leftwing values to Arizona.
All too often when a home sells in our neighborhood, the cars have California license plates. They arrive here with fists full of money and overpay for their home purchases, while ruining our economy and aiding Bidenflation.
So glad to have the informative posts that Seeing Red AZ provides. We do not get the newspaper and have no intention of wasting our money on the house organ of the democrat party.
Some candidates are more “perfect” than others. Kris Mayes is at the bottom of the “imperfect” list. She’s a lowlife who initially tried to fool Republicans by registering as a member of the GOP. Her self serving deceit was a major fail. She’s finally out of the closet. Both of them.
Guess who else is involved with this ILLEGAL ACTIVITY?!?!? None other than uncle fester…with a company based in…You guessed it…china!!!

Doc,
Thanks for this updated report on Uncle Fester lookalike, Mark Kelly! He’s a snake and a crook and has gotten away with his duplicity far too long. He is the US Senate’s most prolific fundraiser, with the help of George Soro’s Act Blue and Soro’s relatives who are substantial donors. The Federal Election Commission’s (FEC) website shows him as the nation’s second highest fundraiser. He’s been in first place until the democrats put a priority on Georgia’s Raphael Warnock not wanting him to by walloped by Trump-endorsed Herschel Walker.
