Illegal aliens being housed in Scottsdale hotel

June 3, 2021

The headlined news item, “Migrants could be detained at Valley hotel,” must have warmed the metaphorical cockles of nearby residents. The now closed Hilton Homewood Suites located at Scottsdale Road and Mountain View, is in the upscale 85253 zip code.

Now it’s a done deal.

There are currently negotiations underway between the property owner and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to operate the property as an “Emergency Family Station Center,” for what they blandly refer to as “migrants,” and the rest of us know to be illegal aliens, who have violated our sovereign national border as they furtively invade our nation.

Woodbridge Hospitality, the property owner, has filed for bankruptcy, and is negotiating to sell the property to a company that intends to convert it into an apartment complex. The price of $17.5 million would be negatively impacted following the use of the hotel to house illegals.

On Wednesday evening, hundreds of people assembled in front of the hotel, waving American flags and carrying signs protesting the plan to house and feed lawbreakers in the shuttered facility. Several of the signs focusing on the worsening border predicament read, “Secure Our Border,” and “Don’t blame me, I voted for Trump.”

This June 2, 2021 letter from Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich to the law firms representing the lender and borrower of the property, expresses his “grave concerns” over the use of the property. He writes, “The root-causes of the current crisis are problems of the Biden administration’s own making.” Copies of the letter were sent to Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel and Scottsdale City Attorney Sherry R. Scott.

The City of Scottsdale issued this terse, buck-passing communiqué from its Office of Communications.

The hotel, located between two apartment complexes and a block away from Chaparral High School, will house 1,200 illegal aliens — referred to as “migrants.”

These are migrants. They go home. Don’t confuse them with invaders, who stay and expect accommodations.

Election Audit: Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer tutors in career suicide

May 20, 2021

Those who follow politics closely know the true meaning of zaniness.  Here in Maricopa County, Arizona’s most populous county and the fourth most populous in the United States, we have a Republican elected County Recorder who defeated the democrat incumbent by a hair, (50.1% – 49.8%) and has, within his first term, spiraled out of the political orbit that put the unknown in office. Stephen Richer has declared former president Trump “unhinged” and a “liar,” for questioning the ballot audit process. Maricopa County is not a stand-alone, as this NBC WBRE-TV Eyewitness News headline indicates: “Luzerne County Director of Elections points to flaws with voting machines.” Luzerne County is in Pennsylvania.

Stephen Richer, whose current term ends Jan.1, 2025, joined with members of the Board of Supervisors, who obviously feel their integrity is being questioned by the audit, calling it a “sham process.” The best response to their bruised egos is, “It’s not about you!”

Richer, the new darling of the leftist local newspaper, which gave him a pre-election cold-shoulder, is pictured in a large, front page photo standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Sheriff Paul Penzone, who was elected with the help of at least $2 million* from Socialist multi-billionaire George Soros. His well-financed goal is to overhaul America’s criminal justice system in his radically skewed trajectory.

Maricopa County and the State of Arizona are home to multitudes of Trump supporters. Needlessly jamming a contrived thumb in their collective eyes is not a stellar start to a upwardly mobile political career. While it’s true he’s no longer in the Oval Office — now occupied by a dilapidated, unable to speak coherently extremist placeholder for Kamala Harris — Americans long for the top-notch economy, his international savvy, passion for securing our sovereign border and his steadfast support of the sole democracy in the mid east. Joe Biden’s handlers are doing the exact opposite, and the results are horrific.

Republicans are aligned with the GOP for a reason. It’s not a game we play. It requires commitment and being able to articulate to ourselves and others what drives our dedication. These are the worst of times and turning on ourselves aids the other side. Stephen Richer should be knowledgeable enough to grasp that basic fact.

Biden threatens, take the vaccine…or else

May 18, 2021

How reassuring it is to live in the land of George Orwell’s ubiquitous Big Brother and under the thumb of demented Joe. We no longer have to be burdened with the task of thinking for ourselves, and there will be consequences if we are bold enough to try.

On Monday, blathering Joe Biden threatened the American people as he attempted to speak coherently, though missing the mark. Biden actually declared that those who have not gotten the vaccine will “pay the price.”

What “price” that is was not defined. Presumably, it is death. Then again, it could relate to being rounded up and incarcerated. With radical criminal justice “reforms” taking hold across the nation, prison sentences are being cut short and felons are being released onto city streets, making room for non-vaxxers to be incarcerated, and “pay the price.”

Biden previously said that despite some states lifting mask mandates, we should respect those who continue to wear them. It was not that long ago that Joe and Tony (Fauci) were advocating for “double masking.”

If people happen to stop breathing while wearing two masks in the oppressive summer heat, would those deaths be attributable to COVID, or lack of oxygen due to surrendering to the demands of two aged, leftist tyrants?

RINOcrat Liz Cheney deservedly dumped from House leadership & Update

May 13, 2021

U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), fueled by a peculiar and unrelenting Trump-hatred, has veered off the political cliff into wing-nut land. This was part of her latest rant, as she addressed the U.S. House chamber that was devoid of Republicans, who had taken a hike rather than give her words credence.

“We must go forward based on truth. We cannot both embrace the big lie and embrace the Constitution. I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office,” adding, “Freedom only survives if we protect it. We must speak the truth. The election was not stolen. America has not failed.”

Truth? President Trump has the solid support of nearly 75 million American voters who cast their ballots for him. Neither former President Trump nor his patriotic supporters ever claimed American “failed.”

Cheney was elected from Wyoming’s At-Large Congressional District, assuming office in 2017. Her current term ends on January 3, 2023. That date should also mark the end of her political career. According to the Wyoming Secretary of State voter registration statistics, as of January 21, 2021, there were 209,231 registered Republicans compared to 51,227 democrats.

Cramping her aspirations in the red state, House Republicans voted to remove Cheney as chair of the Republican Conference on May 12, 2021.

This McLaughlin & Associates poll conducted in January indicated only 13% of general election voters would vote to re-elect Cheney. Her re-election score drops to 10% among Republicans and 6% among Trump voters. It’s a certainty those numbers have plummeted even lower in the intervening months.

On Friday May 14, House Republicans elected Rep. Elise Stefanik, (R-N.Y.), as their conference chair, replacing Cheney. Stefanik won by a vote of 134 to 46. Long regarded as a “moderate,” Stefanik became a vocal Trump supporter in recent years.

As Maricopa County ballot audit proceeds, left goes ballistic and UPDATE

May 12, 2021

As the audit of the 2020 presidential election votes cast in Maricopa County proceeds, numerous national sites have paid close attention, staying on top of the issue with continually updated coverage.

The local coverage is another story.  A recent headline in the anorexic newspaper, hemorrhaging subscribers blasts, “Some in GOP worry about audit fallout.”

The newspaper’s entire premise in Arizona’s most populous county with an estimated 62% of the state’s population, and the fourth most populous in the United States, is a concocted falsehood. Worry is not a consideration. An accurate accounting of the ballots is. Biden’s slim margin of victory in Maricopa County was the tightest in the entire nation and clearly warrants a recount.

You might wonder who these worried Republicans are and what exactly is causing their angst. Hauled out of obscurity to expound on the audit is Republicrat Betsey Bayless, sounding a lot like Biden-supporting Cindy McCain, Bayless is quoted as saying, “I just want it over. I think Arizona just needs to move on and not be the center of more of this political gossip.” In her mind seeking accuracy has devolved to mere “gossip.”  Having been out of the public eye for years, few people have any recollection of who Bayless is…and even fewer care.

Former AZ Senator Jon Kyl, known for his Mcduplicity on the border, is now a D.C. corporate lobbyist. He also weighed in on the audit, bizarrely saying, he “sees no upside to it.” Single term Congressman Ben Quayle who has not been seen or heard from since his defeat, opined, “I literally think very few people are paying attention.” If he had a better handle on the conservative base of the GOP, he might not be relegated to fleeting memory status. And what exactly does “literally think,” mean?

Literally or figuratively, Quayle denied and then was forced to admit he wrote for Dirty Scottsdale, a publication chronicling the seamy side of the Scottsdale nightclub scene using the pseudonym Brock Landers. This revelation ranked higher as a career killer than trying to run from a district he no longer lived in. A single-term congressman, Quayle was ousted in 2012.

The ballot audit is being conducted scrupulously, and under the public’s watchful eye televised by nine separate cameras. It can be viewed at

We deserve nothing less, regardless of what a collection of has-beens think.

This video features former Arizona Secretary of State and AZ Senate President Ken Bennett as he appears on Conservative Circus with KFYI host James T. Harris. Bennett expertly explains the Maricopa County election audit.  Take time to watch this:

Fear monger Fauci plays the victim

May 11, 2021

Americans are becoming unified in being fed up with Anthony Fauci, an 80-year-old, 5’7’’ tyrant. He wants to eternally impose his restrictive mandates on the populace and is meeting push-back resistance, which he resents.

Two Republicans and Anthony Fauci are all physicians with medical knowledge and skills. The Republicans are Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Kelli Ward, the chairman of the Arizona Republican Party.

Dr. Paul, an ophthalmologist, was a Republican candidate for the presidency in 2016. He suspended his campaign and early on endorsed the eventual winner Donald Trump. Dr. Kelli Ward has been twice elected to the AZ GOP top party leadership role following two terms as a state senator and has been a staunch Trump supporter. She is also a family practice physician, married to a physician. The two Republicans have something else in common.  Rand Paul’s father is a doctor as is Kelli Ward’s mother.

None of these accomplishments impress guitar playing, music aficionado David Knowles, elevated to senior editor for Yahoo News. The only one he identifies as a doctor in his article, is Fauci who now advocates double masking through Spring and “maybe seasonally after the pandemic…since people are used to wearing them.”

The Republicans are not worthy of having their credential mentioned.

Knowles’ fake objectivity was on display when he recently wrote, “Trump launches blog to spread election lies.”

Keep up with Dr. Kelli Ward here.

If you’re up to seeing Dr. Fauci expose himself, the revealing photo is here. Warning: It will be burned in your brain.

Gas rising? Rolaids won’t help

May 10, 2021

Biden brings Americans higher gas prices

Red State runs a revealing report, titled: “ BREAKING: State of Emergency Declared in 17 States and D.C. After Pipeline Cyberattack.”

Equally serious, the shutting down of the Keystone XL pipeline has been disastrous. Thanks to the Biden administration’s policies, gas prices have skyrocketed.  His surrogates claim his $2.25 trillion infrastructure and tax plan will be funded largely by raising taxes on U.S. corporations, neglecting to add that those costs will, in turn, be passed on to consumers. A walk through the supermarket or big box store is sobering as prices have surged astronomically, and the rising gas prices are reflected in the transportation costs of food and other necessities.

Candidate Biden, bowing to the far left flank of his party, announced his plan to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline permit via executive action on his first day in office. This action occurred despite objections from Canada and the resulting thousands of good-paying jobs lost by American workers.

Twenty-one states, Arizona among them, led by attorneys general from Texas and Montana, entered into this lawsuit, filed March 17, 2021, against Pres. Biden and members of his cabinet, alleging he overstepped his presidential authority in canceling the pipeline.

Gas Buddy shows the current impact on Americans in every state.  Simply move your cursor over each state to see the average price reflected.

This chart and figures are from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

The answer to the vast discrepancies in the price of a gallon of regular gas in various locations across the United States is clearly political. California, burdened by far leftist Gov. Gavin Newsom, has prices that far exceed those in other states. In blue states, controls have given way to higher taxes, which translate to higher prices per gallon.

Anti-GOP desperation reaches a “slashing” zenith

May 6, 2021

Movie reviewer, with no movies to review, recommends cutting conservatism out of our lives

There’s no question Arizona’s radically left local newspaper is fighting for its life. To counter the fact that subscriptions are in the toilet after losing its building and repeatedly being on the auction block before finally being sold, it showcases its commitment to ethnic diversity hires, while giving a hostile thumbs down in opposition to diverse thought. Massive staff cutbacks are evident to even a casual reader as editor-deprived ASU Cronkite Journalism students take up the slack prior to being ready for prime time.  A columnist who died over three years ago reappears through his recycled columns, with the added bonus that he doesn’t require a salary.

The latest attempt to save a buck is moving the movie critic into the political arena. Bill Goodykoontz has held on longer than cartoonist Steve Benson, who was unceremoniously kicked to the curb after decades when the failing newspaper could no longer afford the Pulitzer Prize winner.

It’s not a stretch to imagine Goodykoontz dutifully double masked as Biden and Fauci recommend. Though with no movies to review during the pandemic, he shows off his ambidextrous skills as he swings far left to grovel at the feet of job security, morphing from a reviewer to a venom spewing critic of conservatives.

Not only does he attempt to decimate top-rated Fox News host Tucker Carlson, but like a foot stomping petulant child, he demands viewers, “Cut him out of your media diet entirely, even if you’re a fan.”  He also advocates cutting the My Pillow guy Mike Lindell out, “Like a vegan would red meat.” Why?  He’s a Trump supporter, which warrants not only silencing, but loss of your livelihood. “Vote with your remote,” hotshot Goodykoontz, the impostor who calls other people liars, advises.

You get where this is going.  See no conservatives, hear no conservatives and you’ll eventually lose your ability to comprehend or articulate conservative thought. The hope is you’ll be ignorant enough to actually buy the overpriced, leftist newspaper that pays Goodykoontz’ salary.

Mega McCain puts coarseness, ignorance on display

May 5, 2021

It came as a surprise to read that vacuous motor-mouth Mega McCain got something right. She is quoted as slamming a family as “old, archaic, and deeply irrelevant.” The description fit her late father who opportunistically ran as a Republican but colluded with democrats throughout his career. It is also an apt description of her Joe Biden-endorsing mother, beer heiress Cindy Lou Hensley McCain.

It turns out, however, the family she was describing wasn’t her own, but the British royal family. Her timing epitomizes her lack of class and empathy coming on the heels of the recent death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband of 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth II.

The chunky McCain also gave an insight into her diet choices, declaring she’d “rather eat a muddy tire” than watch Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla. Mega looks as though she’s been binging on them for years, likely with a heavy coating of calorie-rich dark chocolate.

AZ newspaper bows at diversity altar, rejects diversity of thought

May 3, 2021

Not only does the leftist lockstep, white self-flagellation madness never stop, but it has intensified. Under the headline declaring, “We’re urgently building a more diverse staff,” the Arizona Republic newspaper’s executive editor, Greg Burton pledges his commitment to ratios, ethnicity, skin pigmentation and whether we sit or stand in the bathroom — traits which are beyond our control — rather than quality. He crows:

“More than three-quarters of new hires over the past year have been journalists of color, and eight of 13 are women.

Our goal is to match a community that is 44% people of color. We’re not there yet, but we’re making progress, and doing so while hiring the most skilled and promising journalists on the job market.

In 2016, journalists of color made up 20% of The Republic’s staff. Next month, they’ll be 37% of the staff, up from 34% just nine months ago. Among managers, that number is 39%, up from 28% last August.”

At the Arizona Republic, hiring based on qualifications is a passé concept. In order to authentically report the news, diversity takes precedent. This insulting concept invalidates professionals in all walks of life. Having a degree that relates to your line of work is no longer paramount. To be considered a valuable employee it’s imperative you represent a specific ethnicity and have the proper amount of melanin in your skin pigment.

For all of Greg Burton’s slobbering over himself for the newspapers new diversity and inclusion hires, as the executive editor he egocentrically misuses the reflexive pronoun “myself” multiple times.

His grammatical blunders aside, the missing component from his commitment to diversity is the long overdue retirement submission of Greg Burton. He noticeably doesn’t fit the parameters he has set for the staff he oversees. He’s too white, middle-aged and he stands to urinate. These genetic defects over which he has no control still render him unacceptable.

When he was hired in 2018, Burton complemented his new workplace calling it, “a vibrant, healthy and successful newsroom,” but he quickly set about reconfiguring it. Subscriptions have fallen dramatically.
