Why do Dems have an aversion to God?

February 2, 2020

Watch as Democrats delete God from congressional proceedings as witnesses are sworn in:

This is not new for them. Remember the chaos that erupted at the 2012 Democrat National Convention over the insertion of the word “God” or the recognition of Jerusalem into their platform? Seeing Red AZ covered the shameful episode then. Even those conducting the meeting were confounded as the boorish delegates loudly protested and booed.

Although our founding documents did not endorse a specific religion, they do acknowledge God. The two key founding documents in American history are the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The first explains why we exist as a nation. Not only does the Declaration mention God four times, most importantly, it says that our rights come from the Creator.

In President George Washington’s first proclamation in 1789, declaring a national day of Thanksgiving, he referenced God 16 times.

He obviously wasn’t a Democrat.

Ridiculous language distortions gain traction

January 26, 2020

…Begin with replacing the misused word “progressive” with the far more accurate,”repressive.”

Just weeks ago, we learned that Merriam-Webster declared ‘they’ its “2019 word of the year,” in a nod to gender neutrality and those who now consider themselves non-binary. Gender neutral, non-binary and transgender, words with which we had previously never had even a nodding acquaintance, have gained prominence in our celebrity-driven world. The compliant media follow like lapdogs and before long misused words dominate our language and are being described in detail and taught to our kids in school.

The dictionary company’s revelation preempted the American Psychological Association recognizing “they” as a singular third-person pronoun in its latest scholarly writing style guide. No kidding!

Language corruption and distorted meanings abound. Language, like sexuality, has lost its significance and has now veered off into the land of fluidity, where nothing means anything and venerable, known definitions have been co-opted.

Which brings us to the misuse of the word “progressive” when describing radical leftists. Progressive is a word that is embraced by those who rejected the word liberal in favor of sounding forward-thinking and cutting-edge.  What compounds the egregious trickery is that conservatives, likely in a foolish quest to sound contemporary, routinely use it. The correct usage appears in the first paragraph of this article, titledBeware of phony conservatives.”

The dying Arizona Republic newspaper’s Sunday edition exemplifies the devaluation of definitions. In a three column report by wordsmith Daniel Gonzalez titled, “What we know about the latest caravan,” he used the words caravan and migrants interchangeably nearly four dozen times as he described Central Americans attempting passage through Mexico intending to invade the United States. He sought out a similarly agendized east coast Latina associate professor, who claims the timing is coordinated “to draw attention away from Trump’s impeachment trial and bolster support among his base during a presidential election year.”

This bonding to a flawed agenda that alienates educated readers signals the death knell for the failing newspaper.

A much better description for leftists is “regressive,” which is exactly what they are. According to Merriam-Webster, regressive is in the bottom 40% in lookup popularityLet’s give it a rightful boost.

Passé singer Linda Ronstadt compares Pres. Trump to Hitler

January 5, 2020

The old adage that wisdom routinely accompanies age is a fallacy. With proper guidance, wisdom can flourish in youth. Age has little to do with it. There is no smart cell that develops in middle age and keeps regenerating and increasing in size until all septuagenarian and octogenarians attain genius level.

Onetime pop star, singer Linda Ronstadt is a case in point. Then pretty and possessing a good voice and versatile style, she went solo in the 1960s. Now in her mid-70s, the Tucson-born Ronstadt, whose brother Peter was the city’s police chief, has lost her voice to the ravages of Parkinson’s Disease, and has become an unrecognizable “activist.” Few people under 50 know her name today.

And wouldn’t you know…she hates President Trump?

Now living in radical San Francisco, she is back in her element, having been the main squeeze of far-left California Gov. Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown in the 1970s.

Crime, homelessness, rat infestations and piles of human waste fouling sidewalks, driving away tourists, must appeal to Ronstadt. What doesn’t resonate with her is history. She confuses murderous tyrants with the leader of the free world.

Her latest statement exhibiting her abysmal ignorance came during this recent interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper. Ronstadt said she sees “great parallels” between pre-Nazi Germany and now.

“The intelligentsia of Berlin and the literati and all the artists were just busy doing their thing. Hitler rose to power. There were a lot of chances to stop him, and they didn’t speak out,” she told Cooper. “The industrial complex thought they could control him once they got him in office, and, of course, he was not controllable.”

By the time he got established, he put his own people in place and stacked the courts and did what he had to do to consolidate his power,” she said. “And we got Hitler, and he destroyed Germany. He destroyed centuries of intellectual history forward and backward.”

Cooper responded, telling Ronstadt that he thinks a lot of people would be “surprised” to hear her make comparisons between Nazi Germany and Trump’s America.

“If you look at history, you won’t be surprised, it’s exactly the same. You find a common enemy for everybody to hate” Ronstadt said. “I was sure that Trump was going to get elected the day he announced, and I said it’s going to be like Hitler and the Mexicans are the new Jews. And sure enough, that’s what he delivered.”

Her comments are exceedingly ignorant. Linda Ronstadt might have missed the part of her ‘historical studies” that detailed concentration camps, ovens for humans and showers that spewed deadly gas on naked men, women and children who were cruelly handed bars of soap to placate them before they were massacred. Six million Jews who were generational citizens of the countries of Germany, Poland, Lithuania and other Eastern European nations were initially required to wear yellow six-pointed stars identifying them, disallowed schooling, fired from their jobs, then forced out of their homes, rounded up, starved, suffered depraved medical experimentation and exterminated. Train tracks were built to bring the prisoners directly to the killing centers.

It is the disease of liberalism rather than Parkinson’s Disease that has eroded Linda Ronstadt’s mind.

AZ Sen. McSally loses primary challenger…one more to go

January 3, 2020

Blake Masters out…Daniel McCarthy clearly not ready for prime time

For the better part of the past year, Tucson businessman Blake Masters has been mulling mounting a primary challenge to Republican incumbent AZ Sen. Martha McSally.

Following reported meetings with politicos and donors — Masters, chief operations officer with Thiel Capital investment firm — has had second thoughts about the wisdom of taking on Arizona’s lone GOP senate incumbent in a primary battle. Voters were not flies on the wall during the earnest conversations, but they were sure to include references to aiding and abetting far leftist gun confiscator Mark Kelly, who is funded by open borders Socialist George Soros.

Accolades are in order for Blake Masters’ integrity in this most watched among national senate races. He’s putting party unity — President Trump has unequivocally endorsed Sen. McSally — over his own desires and ego, saying he will work within the party to get Republicans elected and President Trump reelected. Masters is in his mid-thirties. He has plenty of time to explore future elections. With the wisdom he has already exhibited, indications are he would be an excellent future candidate.

Daniel McCarthy doesn’t have that maturity level, (revealing videos) though the few votes he will siphon away have the potential to give Arizona two Dem senators.

The presence of Vice President Mike Pence, making three trips to our state in a year, escorting Sen. McSally to Arizona fundraisers and other events reflects the importance of this U.S. Senate seat.

SRAZ has written about McCarthy numerous times. Here is a sampling:

McLunacy continues to infect dying AZ Republic

December 22, 2019

Sunday’s edition of the seriously failing Arizona Republic newspaper features an above-the-fold, Page One report, titled “Would McCain have voted to convict? Impeachment poses tantalizing question.”

No joke.

What exactly is “tantalizing” about the obvious?

A year following three cross-country funerals, the grieving newspaper has not been able to accept the fact that the man who called himself a “maverick” to explain his career-long collusion and votes with Democrats, though opportunistically running as a Republican, is gone.

Posing the question as to whether he would have voted to convict President Trump is beyond foolish. McCain, not only publicly declared that neither he nor his family would vote for Donald Trump in 2016, McCain was integral in attempting to take Trump down by hand-carrying what has been revealed as the fictitious so-called dossier to then-FBI Director James Comey.

McCain was a petty man who, after losing twice in his quest for the presidency, was consumed by raging jealously that businessman Donald Trump was able to easily capture the presidency that eluded him. He was so angry that he pointedly excluded President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania from attending the D.C. memorial, to which the Obamas and Clintons were invited.  Yes. Vengeful McCain made up his own guest lists, notable for exclusions.

For an overview, read our fact-filled exposé, John McCain: The undead. This is who the man actually was, not the “self-styled maverick with an unpredictable streak” the newspaper describes.

The aptly nicknamed Arizona Repulsive is reeling over the fact that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), long considered to be McCain’s sidekick, has become an ardent Trump supporter.

“This thing will come to the Senate, and it will die quickly, and I will do everything I can to make it die quickly,” Graham recently told CNN.

One of McCain’s apologists is quoted as saying, “He (McCain) probably would have taken Lindsey Graham to the woodshed.”

That should answer the absurd headlined question, “Would McCain have voted to convict?”

AZ ACLU advises students on reciting Pledge of Allegiance

December 4, 2019

Though reciting the Pledge of Allegiance is a bridge too far for leftist ACLU, Republican Gov. Ducey is supportive, reported to have expressed surprise that grade school students no longer begin their mornings with the pledge

As difficult as it is to fathom, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Arizona has a 25-page manual for public school students, titled,Know Your Rights,” urging them “Don’t just know your rights…fight for them!” The advice includes:

“Act Now! Get a copy of your school’s Code of Student Conduct. Learn from this booklet what rights you have, and ensure those rights are protected by the school. Don’t wait until your rights are violated to speak up.”

“Document and Organize! If you feel your rights have been violated, write a statement with details of the incident, including: who, what, when and where. Get witness statements…” seemingly preparing them for a lawsuit.

Page five addresses the question: “Do we have to say the Pledge of Allegiance?”

The ACLU’s answer is “No. The courts say that students have the right to sit silently during the flag salute and Pledge of Allegiance. As long as you do not disrupt the pledge, you may refuse to participate.”

According to the ACLU, needing a parent’s permission to opt out, could have a “chilling effect on students’ free speech.” Seriously.

The pledge, long regarded as a symbol of patriotism, has reached red flag urgency status due to a bill currently in the state legislature, allowing for the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of each day — apparently now regarded as an outrageous assault on the tender psyches of Arizona children. Not only does it support allegiance to the United States of America, but it contains the two words, “under God,” that are anathema to the ACLU.  HB 2017, a simple one-page bill sponsored by Rep. John Fillmore (R-LD16) allows for “quiet reflection” in lieu of the recitation.

In 1954 Congress added the words “under God” at the request of President Eisenhower. The thirty-one words now creating a commotion are, “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Count on this…Quiet reflection will still be considered an affront.
