Vernon Parker the only candidate opposing amnesty? Not by a long shot

Rep. Sam Crump exposes Vernon Parker’s lies to Sheriff Arpaio and the voters of Congressional District Three — where Crump is a candidate for the seat being vacated by John Shadegg’s retirement.

From Sam Crump’s Facebook page: “The attached voice message was sent out by Sheriff Joe Arpaio at the request of Vernon Parker. Unfortunately, Vernon Parker lied to Sheriff Joe when he said that Parker is the only candidate in Arizona’s CD3 congressional race that opposes amnesty. Parker wrote and approved the script and had the Sheriff unknowingly spread the lie to the voters.

Parker knows that there are several candidates who oppose amnesty, including me. In fact, Parker himself thinks “anchor babies” are fine. Shame on you Vernon Parker. You should apologize to Sheriff Joe and the voters for your lies.”

If Parker needs to resort to chicanery to fool voters, what can they expect from this conniver if he were to be elected?

Vernon Parker will stop at nothing to get ahead, regardless of the foulness of the deed. This is a stellar example…although old Joe should know better. Trusting in Vernon is a fool’s mission.

  2. Overtaxed1 says:

I was saddened to hear that Joe came out for Parker. He ought to know better and I wonder why he wasn’t wiser. This was a foul choice. We all know Parker is for McCain, does Sheriff Joe have his head up his …..?
Does Joe owe Parker a favor? Doesn’t anyone stand for what they say they believe and those that believe the same? The endorsement of Parker by OLD JOE makes me sick.

  3. Orion says:

I was also angry, not sad or disappointed, but truly angry, when Trent Franks heaped praise on Parker. It’s really disgusting. Personally, I think they are all falling over themselves to show how unbiased they are. Well, this congressional race is not about race or ethnicity. It is about credibility and honesty, both in short supply with Vernon Parker.

  4. Sally Forth says:

I’m glad to see that Sam Crump called Parker out on this. The sheriff is also deserving of a few thumps!

  5. Clark says:

    More than “a few,” Sally.

  6. transfusion says:

Vermen and Joe have the same louse of a consultant, Jason Rose.

  7. Calypso says:

This whole scenario is pathetic. Quite honestly, I don’t cut Joe a lot of slack on this one. He didn’t just fall off the turnip truck and should show more savvy. I think its time he cut out endorsements altogether. He’s missed the boat a time or two as evidenced here and in that district 6 race where he seems to have endorsed everyone.

    A headscratcher indeed…

Crump gets several high profile Conservative endorsements from out of state. Yet within our borders he is thrown under a bus. He steps up for JD and the favor is not returned. What else does Sam have to do to show his loyalty ? I don’t get it.

  9. Cassandra says:

I can attest to the fact that Vernon Parker is a liar. I attended a CD3 forum, and he was certainly not alone in saying the border needs to be secured. I heard most of them say that. How could he think he could deceive us, let alone the sheriff, on this issue is beyond me. I wouldn’t vote for him for dogcatcher. The people of Paradise Valley didn’t either. He was an APPOINTED mayor!

  10. Scott says:

The last sentence in the post asks what voters could expect from Mr. Parker were he to be elected. Given his practiced deception, what do you think we might expect? The answer is simple: More of the same. He knew he was not telling the truth in this case, but that has never stopped him before.
This was in the AZ Republic about Parker’s deceptive practices:

  11. PVer says:

There is an inaccuracy in the newspaper account of Parker. It says he was elected mayor of Paradise Valley by the town council. If that’s an “election” I’ll eat my hat. There are SIX members of the town council. The population is about 15,000 people! If he had been elected by the entire population of the town it would amount to a bowl of warm spit in the scheme of things.

But not to worry, this clown will never be elected to congress. Voters are not that easily duped!

  12. Sure says:

Hey, is he trying to insult the Chicanos? lol

  13. Nathan says:

Can you point me to any statement from Parker supporting amnesty? I have not seen anything like that out of him…

  14. Seen It All says:

Oh, for cryin’ out loud, Nathan. No one here that I have seen has accused Parker of supporting amnesty. What there appears to be full agreement on is that he is a liar of monumental proportions and that he is clearly NOT THE ONLY CD 3 Congressional candidate who supports border enforcement. That is not only a lie, it is preposterous.

  15. Ray says:

He is also a diversity hustler. That’s what his business is all about.

I was at a CD3 forum when Vermen stated he thought everyone born here is a US citizen. He supports “anchor babies”!!! I heard this with my own ears! I would swear to it in court! Vermen Parker is a liar and a con man. He cannot be trusted!
