Pres. Trump addresses congress 7p.m., Libs lie in wait

February 28, 2017

President Trump will address a joint session of Congress at 7 p.m. (AZ Time) 9 p.m. (ET) this evening, Feb. 28. But rather than courteously listening to his proposals, the Democrats are reportedly planning disruptions and bringing guests whose presence is intended to be provocative.

The same Democrats who peevishly boycotted Trump’s presidential inauguration are choosing to be on hand for his first address to Congress one month into his presidency. They will fill the gallery with refugees, Obamacare advocates, Second Amendment restrictionists and others who play into their agenda.

Trump’s theme will be the renewal of the American spirit. His address will focus on public safety including defense, increased border security, a strong commitment to veterans, and economic opportunity including education, job training, healthcare reform, jobs along with tax and regulatory reform.

All major networks are expected to carry the address, which can also be live streamed here.

It’s a good bet Nancy Pelosi’s leftist guest list will likely pale in comparison to the egocentric Hollyweird crowd and D.C. political class who have made denouncing the President of the United States their life’s work. Does anyone actually care about the opinions of vacuous celebs who earn their living by memorizing words written by others, emoting and reciting them while being coached by a director, and getting a good share of your ticket prices if you still go to the movies?  They spew their venom towards Republicans at any opportunity, but couldn’t even get the title of the best motion picture right.

Republicrats who run under the GOP banner, but publicly declared they would neither endorse nor vote for Donald Trump when he was the GOP nominee and continue to insult him as president are no better.

Cheer President Trump from your favorite chair as you listen to his speech this evening.  He’ll know we’re there. We put him in the White House despite the left’s predictions. (video)

Chicago illustrates repudiated Dems losing strategy

February 27, 2017

These ain’t your grandparent’s Democrats

Chicago is a case study in what extreme Democrat politics has wrought. It’s Barack Obama’s adopted hometown, where he served a stint in the state senate before filling a vacant U.S. Senate seat. Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich was convicted of and is serving time for, among other things, attempting to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Obama after his 2008 election as president.

Chicago is where the Obama’s attended for twenty years the Afro-centric church led by America-hating Rev. Jeremiah Wright. He and Michelle were married and their daughters were baptized by the same Jeremiah Wright who cursed America. Chicago is where Obama kicked off his presidential campaign in the living room of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, a husband and wife team of convicted domestic terrorists.

None of it mattered to the party faithful.

The city of Chicago has been led by Democrat mayors since Methuselah was a tot. Since 1999 mayoral candidates run under the same “nonpartisan” subterfuge as they do in Phoenix. They are still Dems. A couple of Whigs were elected in the 1800’s.

The city is now run by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Barack Obama’s former chief of staff who has overseen more violence than generals in war zones.

Chicago’s WGN-TV reported on the escalations of murders this year over last. In January there were 51 murders in the city. There were 234 shooting incidents and 299 shooting victims, 8 more than in January 2016. This bloody carnage includes child victims of the gangsta thugs.

Rational minds would think it was time to give the boot to extremist liberal ideologues such as Jeff Flake’s former congressional cohort, Luis Gutierrez, who paid his lobbyist wife over $300,000 from campaign funds.  His daughters also were on the payroll. This sterling character is the one who publicly thanked now-Sen .Jeff Flake for helping him “turn more red states blue.” They are longtime amnesty buddies.

We’ve saved the most recent liberal insanity for dessert. Townhall serves upUnreal: Chicago Names City Street After Terrorist.”

Aldermen (Councilmen) approved a measure to name a city street after Oscar Lopez Rivera, the founder of the Puerto Rican terror group FALN, which was responsible for 120 bombings and armed robberies in the U.S. during the ‘70s and ‘80s that killed nine and injured hundreds of others. Terrorist Lopez Rivera’s 70-year sentence was commuted by Barack Obama in the days before he left office.

“Discover the Networks, a guide to the political left,” has devoted a fact-filled page to Gutierrez.

Illegals or vets: Who gets McCain’s attention?

February 26, 2017

The plight of U. S. military vets who were enticed with cash bonuses to sign up for extra tours of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan a decade ago is making the news as the Pentagon is demanding the vets repay the enlistment bonuses. The enticement of $15,000 or more was given as an incentive when the military was struggling to fill its ranks.

Soldiers say the military is reneging on 10-year-old agreements and imposing severe financial hardship on veterans whose only mistake was to accept the bonuses.

In 2010, after reports surfaced of improper payments, a federal investigation found that thousands of bonuses and student loan payments were given to California Guard soldiers who did not qualify for them, or were approved despite paperwork errors.

Last October, the Los Angeles Times reported on the devastating impact on nearly 10,000 soldiers who have been ordered to repay the substantial enlistment bonuses, or be slapped with interest charges, wage garnishments and tax liens if they refuse.

Some high ranking Guard officers were charged and convicted after pleading guilty to filing false claims resulting in $ millions in payouts. But instead of forgiving the improper bonuses, the California Guard assigned 42 auditors to comb through paperwork for bonuses and other incentive payments given to the soldiers, a process that was finally completed last month. The National Guard Bureau, the Pentagon agency that oversees state Guard organizations,  has acknowledged that bonus overpayments occurred in every state at the height of the two wars.

Arizona National Guard members were not immune to this debacle. This past Friday, the Arizona Republic reported on Ashley Christopher, 33, who finds her world turned upside down, after being forced to sell her home to try to repay the bonus she received.

Amnesty proponents John McCain and Jeff Flake are going to bat to help the so-called “DREAMers”  foreign nationals who are currently 35 years of age or younger and claim they were brought here before they were 16 years old by their parents who illegally invaded the United States. Verifying how many came as babes in arms or ably propelled themselves over the border last year at age 34 is impossible to substantiate. We need to call this farce what it is: Stealth Amnesty. It is also a liberal “dream” come true, lacking any means of verification while permanently swelling the ranks of the Democrat Party.

McCain chairs the Senate Armed Services committee. He should be directing his efforts toward American National Guard members who are being threatened by the Pentagon to repay reenlistment bonuses they signed up for in good faith.

John McCain’s abysmal record with veterans is well-known and recently evident during the Phoenix VA hospital scandals, which occurred right under his nose. Why does he choose to allow illegals to capture his attention?

Obamacare’s newest fans: Oink, oink

February 25, 2017

A recent news account in USA Today headlining, “Obamacare’s popularity at its highest level in nearly seven years” piqued our interest. We tracked down the survey and found it was conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF)  — hardly a passive player in the healthcare industry. Telephone interviews were conducted in English and Spanish.

This biased gem is directly from Kaiser:

With President Trump and top White House officials regularly criticizing the accuracy of news from major news organizations, this month’s poll also looks at which sources of information Americans trust most about changes to the nation’s health care system.

The survey finds Americans are more likely to say they trust their Congressional representatives (55%) their friends and family (51%), and local (53%) and national news organizations (51%) than President Trump (42%) or social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter (16%).

While fewer than half of Americans say they trust information about proposed changes to the U.S. health care system from President Trump “a lot” or “some,” one-fourth of Americans do say they trust information from the President “a lot” (23 percent) which may be an indication of the current divisive political environment.

Friday’s skewed report on their news site is titled, “Support for health law grows, leaving Republicans in a bind.”

Says who?

Obamacare was sold to Americans based on lies. This is Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber referring to Americans as too stupid to understand the facts (video) while they were being exploited by the healthcare law. Here U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy eviscerates MIT Professor Gruber as the liar he is at a congressional hearing. (video)

Based on the Kaiser survey indicating the rise in popularity of Obamacare, our readers will see the relevance of this tale which defines the issue of government dependency:

Years ago a wise farmer noticed that wild pigs roamed freely in the woods adjacent to his farm. “If I could just capture some of those wild pigs, I could fatten them up and reap financial rewards,” he told his neighbor. But the neighbor scoffed, “Those pigs are wild animals, clever in fending for themselves. You can never round them up.”

The wild pigs were suspicious of any advances by the farmer. However, the farmer was a very patient man, and knew the rewards would be great if he was able to gain their trust. The farmer set out with his plan to tame the beasts.

His plan evolved. Each day he took corn and tossed it in the woods where the pigs could safely feast under the cover of darkness. Gradually, as the pigs grew less cautious, the farmer scattered the corn in a pasture located nearer the farmhouse. Then he set about hammering in fence posts around one side of the pasture. That night, the pigs noticed the posts with some curiosity but were eager to dig into the big pile of corn the farmer had left them. A few nights later, they noticed more posts had been erected. At last, the farmer attached wire to the posts around the perimeter but the corn inside was so enticing and delicious that they gobbled it up as they had gotten used to doing, setting aside any apprehension they had about the fence.

Finally, the pigs noticed there was a fence around the entire pasture with a wide and welcoming gate, swung open and leading to where the sweet corn was piled high. Although a few pigs were suspicious and refused to enter the gate, the more greedy ones entered the enclosure. After several nights when no harm came to them, the others decided to join in the banquet and gorged to their delight, as pigs do. Then one night as the pigs were busy feeding, the farmer quietly walked up to the gate, closed and locked it.

So it is with reliance on government to meet our basic needs. The trap is set. We simply have to anticipate the gate swinging shut on us.

Rebuke of Dems policies basis for widespread GOP wins

February 24, 2017

Pres. Trump’s election heralded national Republican majorities

Democrats are squealing like stuck pigs as their party leaders campaign for DNC Chair. The election of officers is this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. The best the candidates can come up with to energize their troops is talk of impeachment of President Donald Trump — in office for a month.

Keith Ellison (D-MN), said to be the leading contender for the Democrat post, voiced this absurdity at the DNC debate, claiming Trump’s already done things thatraise the question of impeachment.” (video)

Illusionists  refer to this technique as misdirection.

The actual issue is the nationwide repudiation of Democrats in both the U.S. House and Senate in 2016, where Republicans now hold majorities. The same is true in state legislatures across our nation. Voters awarded Republicans the majority of governorships. The desire for these sweeping reforms came from the same citizens who turned out en masse to vote for President Donald Trump.

Regardless of Democrats aversion to the truth, these are the realities. Eight years of Obama, his radical liberal ideology and outright lies gutted the Democrats. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Jeff Flake: Reaping what he has sown

February 23, 2017

jeff_mcflake_ii

As he gears up for a reelection bid, Jeff Flake is meeting with opposition — not from Democrats — but from within the Republican Party. A first term U.S. Senator, who previously spent 6 terms in the U.S. House — after reneging on his own term limits pledge made during his first campaign for Congress in 2000.  Flake ran as a citizen legislator, vowing that if elected, he would serve three two-year terms. But the heady atmosphere of Washington, DC became irresistible for Flake. Redistricting made him immune to major challengers.

Flake’s refusal to endorse Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was followed by his repeated declaration that he would not vote for Trump. In fact, he haughtily declared Trump can’t and shouldn’t win.

Junior Senator Flake’s anti-Trump fixation closely followed his mentor John McCain, still seething over his 2008 presidential drubbing. His rage is even more inflamed by the fact that Donald Trump, who has never held political office, rode the wave of populism to the White House this past fall.

Since Trump’s ascension McCain has hammered him mercilessly, even referring to him as a “dictator.” In a move of outlandish proportions, McCain has tried to link Trump to Russia and charged Russian “hacking” of the election was an “act of war.” Russia did not intrude on our election. But the Wikileaks information damaged his scandal-plagued friend Hillary Clinton irreparably. McCain had previously referred to her as a “rock star” he could support.

What the duplicitous hypocrite McCain neglected to mention was his own request for campaign donations from Russian officials — which they turned down. The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft has the full story, including shocking, verifying links.

We recommend reading the hard charging  report, Tough Primary Road Ahead for Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake,”by John Gizzi, New Max’ chief political columnist and White House correspondent.

Jeff Flake was originally shoehorned into the senate seat through the diligent efforts of retiring Sen. Jon Kyl and John McCain.  Even with their assistance he barely squeaked into office by a mere 3 percentage points.

There is not a hair’s breadth of difference between Flake and McCain. They both relentlessly push amnesty for illegals, maintained close relationships with then-President Barack Obama  — Flake traveling with Obama to Kenya and  Cuba, and playing as a regular in the White House basketball games. Flake has colluded with liberals on gun control. McCain advised Obama on forging his legacy. Flake met with Democrat Merrick Garland,  Obama’s Supreme Court pick and actually opined that it was time to start thinking about confirming him.

So you think you know Jeff Flake? Think again,” was posted July 2016. Knowledge is power.

Ignorant lunatic lefties and their benefactors & UPDATE

February 22, 2017

In case you missed the outrageous leftist spectacle Tuesday evening as FOX News anchor Tucker Carlson attempted to interview Sunsara Taylor of the anarchist group, “Refuse Fascism,” we have the video segment.

Repeatedly dragging out the irrational and indefensible Hitler analogy which the failing Arizona Republic also succumbs to in describing President Donald Trump, she showed her ignorance of history with these words, “He is more dangerous than Hitler ever could have been. I’m calling for mass political protest and resistance.”

“This is a danger to humanity. And yes, it’s in its early stages, but people need to rise up and stop it before it is too late,” Taylor raged. She accuses Pres. Trump and VP Pence of having “seized the reins of power” —- conveniently forgetting they were elected by millions of Americans.

Taylor’s group of radicals were behind the Berkeley riots. And just like antagonist John McCain who recently compared President Trump to a dictator, they are funded by multi-billionaire socialist George Soros, who disdains national borders. According to this report in the Daily Caller, he recently gave the extremists $50,000 through various sources within his network. Other funders, such as the United Steel Workers labor union and the City of Tucson are also listed.

The City of Tucson??

The Daily Caller reports a Tucson city official says the city merely acted as a pass-through for a Native American tribe that provided a grant to the radical group. The city official claimed no city money went to Soros’ Alliance for Global Justice. But what moved Tucson to act as a facilitator? And how did the needy tribe become flush enough to be granting money to “Refuse Fascism?” Since the tribe wasn’t named, perhaps it’s a casino owner…just as Donald Trump previously was. They should have more in common than this. Either way, this makes no sense.

Meanwhile, the Democrat Party — which lost not only the White House, but the Senate and House this past November —  is poised to appeal to this very type of leftist as they shift away from what would be their own mainstream to pick a National Party chairman.  Meeting in Atlanta weekend, their two top candidates are Rep. Keith Ellison (Minn.), the first Muslim elected to Congress and Tom Perez, blandly described as Obama’s former Labor secretary.

Arizonans will remember far leftist Perez as the Assistant Attorney for Civil Rights under Attorney General Eric Holder who was committed to taking down Sheriff Joe Arpaio. In 2009, The Washington Times editorialized,Perez’s positions give pause.” They still should. The Democrats are selecting between bad and worse to lead their party.

Update-tag

On Feb. 25, Obama cohort Thomas Perez was elected DNC chair. He quickly named Keith Ellison to be the committee’s deputy chair.

President Donald Trump tweeted his “congratulations.”

AZ Republic shovels it for Flake, McCain

February 21, 2017

There it was blazing across Page One in bold type: “A Changing approach to town-hall events,” with the sub header  Amid Trump backlash, Republicans aim to avoid going viral. The oversized accompanying photo shows John McCain at a Scottsdale town hall meeting — in 2015.

The reporters who crafted this multi-page contrivance passing as news must regard their remaining readership as dolts suffering from amnesia.

McCain and Flake are not hiding from those who pay their salaries as a reaction to a “Trump backlash.”  They are doing what they have done before Trump’s name was ever mentioned in political circles — tightly controlling the interaction.

In the article, Flake claims he’s too busy to schedule town halls, but is described as leaning toward a telephone conference call — a device where participants can be screened.  McCain prefers to meet with employees of private businesses such as Raytheon who benefit from his position as chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

We posted this exposé in Aug. 2013, when the duo held a restricted, so-called “Conversation on Immigration” in Flake’s hometown of Mesa, hoping for a more amiable audience. The actual intent of the “conversation” was to limit conversation. The announcement indicated that due to “limited seating” tickets will not available to the public. Instead, they invited concerned citizens to Twitter questions in advance and said they may be used during the mid-morning event, timed to keep taxpaying citizens with jobs at bay.

The newspaper is partially correct on one count. Frustrated citizens are lashing out, but it’s definitely not a “Trump backlash.” They are overwhelmingly Republicans, not Democrats, understandably furious at John McCain for his continual sabotaging of the Republican president who’s been in office exactly one month. Appearing on “Meet the Press” over the weekend, McCain compared Trump to a dictator. CNN, the Washington Post, and other left-of-center news outlets were all too happy to give full coverage to the still angry 2008 presidential loser.

Arizona Republicans are incensed that Jeff Flake not only refused to endorse the GOP presidential nominee, but actually sought out leftist networks on which to appear and announce he would not vote for Donald Trump. McCain, for his part, withdrew his flimsy endorsement and then said he would withhold his vote from now-President Trump.

Republicans and conservative activists expect such actions from Democrats. Their reasonable ire is directed at the two Hillary supporting, interchangeable Republicrat Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake conveniently masquerading as Republicans whenever  elections near. This 2011 disappointment in Flake expressed in an Arizona Republic editorial speaks volumes.

The senators know they are the target of Republican resentment. We know it and the newspaper’s reporters Dan Nowicki and Ronald Hansen, regardless of their attempts to configure the situation otherwise,  certainly know it.

“Day Without Immigrants” based on a lie

February 20, 2017

Illegal aliens are not immigrants

According to organizers, the recent nationwide “Day Without Immigrants” protests were aimed at showcasing the “impact immigrants have on the U.S. economy.” In some locations the demonstrations will continue through today — Presidents’ Day.

Students were encouraged to ditch school to join in the walkout. Their absence from the nation’s classrooms sends a loud and clear message that education is secondary to protests. Adults were told not to open their businesses or go to work, not to make any purchases, not to send their children to school.

NBC News captioned a photo taken in Chicago, “Protesters participate in a march aimed against President Donald Trump’s efforts to crack down on immigration.”

Lost amid the political skew and ballyhoo is the fact that the protesters are not immigrants. They are illegal aliens. Media sources have unilaterally decided that accurate descriptive language is taboo, while working diligently to blur the lines between the distinctly different terms. Yet facts are stubborn things.

Immigrants are those who have come to the United States legally with the desire to fully assimilate into our culture as previous generations of newcomers have done.

Immigration Counters supports legal immigration while highlighting the significant impact of illegal immigration in America. Acquaint yourself with the commentary that follows the continually updating numbers.

News coverage dealing with the protests tells of employers who fired their workers for not showing up at work. Their righteous indignation is form over substance.  Had the illegal labor profiteers not hired low wage foreign nationals rather than Americans, there would have been no marches, the businesses that were shut down would have functioned, and most importantly the job magnet that displaces American workers would not exist. Employers can’t have it both ways. They set this mayhem in motion.

McCain rips Pres. Trump at European conference

February 19, 2017

Intellihub’s Alex Thomas’ revealing report on the latest pathetic ramblings of Arizona Sen. John McCain pulls no punches from its socko headline through its final sentence.

The headline,Turncoat: John McCain is a globalist shill, uses speech to the elite to attack Trump,” refers to an embarrassing speech given by McCain at the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Friday. Thomas notes “the neocon and deep state puppet John McCain attacked the Trump “worldview” in a point by point argument now being hailed in the corporate controlled media.”

For substantiation, this link to the left-wing Washington Post is provided.  It falls over itself commending McCain for his insights in bullet points.

Undeniably, octogenarian McCain is still enraged that he will never be president. His ire is magnified by the fact that Donald Trump, who has never held public office, rode a wave of populism to the White House, connecting with men and women across America as no one has, flying in the face of all predictions.

Liberals are confounded. Educrats and their propagandized charges are sputtering and demonstrating. Hollywood is in disbelief. The rest of us are either smug n our knowledge that Trump would win or jubilant as we witness a president actually keep his campaign promises. Within a month of being inaugurated, President Trump has accomplished more than most of his predecessors have in four years.

No one has ever accused McCain of being bright, but over the decades, he’s managed to partner with slick liberals such as Ted Kennedy, Russ Feingold and more recently Chuck Schumer as well as Republicrats including Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio and his obliging amnesty accomplice, Jeff Flake, allowing him to characterize himself as a “maverick” rather than an arrogant hothead who needs the spotlight as the rest of us require oxygen.

Arizona Republican activists, weary of his deceit and orchestrated efforts against them long to hear an Arizona politician of prominence speak out forcefully against McCain’s numerous betrayals, but they disappointingly remain silent, most likely fearful of reprisals. They’re making a mistake as they face midterm elections and angry crowds.

Pres. Trump is connecting directly with the people.  Saturday over 9,000 showed up listen to him discuss his first month’s accomplishments at the AeroMod International hangar in Melbourne, Florida. When he addressed the issue of the deceptive media, he told the cheering crowd,  “I want to speak to you without the filter of the fake news.”

They get it.
