Dem Juan Mendez’candidate questionnaire plagiarized answers

March 31, 2018

Democrat unable to answer a simple election questionnaire with honesty

A new blog,Arizona Democrats Exposed, (ADE) has done a masterful job of exposing the lazy lifting of answers to a candidate questionnaire requested by the local daily newspaper.

According to ADE’s post, in 2016, the Arizona Republic sent then-State Representative Juan Mendez a candidate questionnaire to fill out while he campaigned for the Arizona Senate — an office to which he was elected. The questionnaire was intended to help constituents “vote with confidence.”

Mendez fell far short of the mark.

A review of Mendez’s answers has found that significant portions of them were directly plagiarized from other sources  — hardly a confidence producer.  Despite his slipperiness, he was elected to the state Senate to represent District 26.

Democrat Mendez, whose district includes the Hispanic majority town of Guadalupedescribes himself on the legislative member website with these words:

“Juan is not only a lifelong member of the Arizona Democratic Party but has worked for years to contribute to our state and local Democratic Party. He has held various offices and positions as an elected Precinct and State Committee Member, Chair of the Resolutions Committee on the state level, President of the ASU Young Democrats, Treasurer and Secretary at the district level, and as a Field Organizer helping to turn out Democratic voters and elect progressive Democrats.” He refers to himself as a “first-generation Chicano.”

With all that intra-party work to keep him busy, he could conclude he was forced to sticky finger his questionnaire answers. That would be as good an answer as any — if his constituents cared.

Latin American democracy crumbles under corruption

March 30, 2018

The Hill posts an enlightening commentary,Latin American democracy is crumbling under corruption,” by Edward Lynch. Ph.D. The chair of political science at Hollins University, and former Special Assistant to President Reagan for Defense and Foreign Policy, Lynch details the high levels of governmental corruption in Mexico and other Latin American counties.

When people come to the United States, they bring with them the concepts they were familiar with in their countries of origin.  In the case of Latin America, they are often incompatible with our system of government.

More baloney from McCain’s Cornville compound

March 29, 2018

John McCain, suffering from a virulent form of brain cancer, described by his doctors as “aggressive” when it was first diagnosed in July 2017, has not returned to the U.S. Senate since his appalling thumbs down vote (video) against the “skinny” repeal of Obamacare. That betrayal will be his legacy.

His senate office stopped providing medical updates months ago, though his family assures us he’s making an “amazing” recovery and will be back to work by summer. Previously, daughter Meghan said he was staying out of D.C. due to concerns about catching the flu. With flu season behind us, it’s clear his own serious condition is keeping him at their family compound in Cornville. Meghan and her mother, Cindy, have both denied reports that McCain will resign, which appears to be the only reliable announcement concerning the 81-year-old’s career. No one believes that McCain is manning “his” twitter account, jealously slamming President Trump‘s every move. His office staffers, with no actual jobs to do, busy themselves with keyboard gymnastics.

The latest news regarding Cornville’s most famous resident is that McCain is writing another memoir. “The Restless Wave” authored — not “co-authored” as we are led to believe — by Mark Salter, is scheduled to debut in May:

“In a time when Washington, D.C., and the country is more polarized than it has been for decades, John McCain is the rare public figure who has earned the respect of people on both sides of the aisle,” Simon & Schuster enthused in a release. “He is a model for bipartisanship and political integrity. In his forty years in politics McCain has never been afraid to buck trends or ruffle a few feathers. His words are more important today than ever.”

Obviously Simon & Schuster hasn’t taken the pulse of Arizona elected Republican State and Maricopa County Committeemen who overwhelmingly voted to censure McCain in 2014. In the wake of the embarrassment, his retaliation was brutal.

The New York-based publisher, a subsidiary of CBS Media Corporation slathers it on thickly saying:

“The Restless Wave begins in 2008 with McCain’s presidential campaign and then follows the Senator during his time as a senior Republican lawmaker through the Obama administration, when the country was tested at home and abroad. McCain shares his experiences during the divisive 2016 election and his no-holds-barred opinions on the current developments coming out of Washington. He also discusses the vital challenges from abroad: Russia, NATO, the campaign to defeat ISIS, our ongoing operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, among others. Candid, pragmatic, and always fascinating, John McCain holds nothing back in his latest memoir.”

Nothing but honesty, which has never been his hallmark, and now his own diminished memory.

And let’s not forget that ‘Sally McCain’ is being groomed for the Senate seat currently open due to a face-saving move.  Jeff Flake — with an 18% approval rating — opted not to run for a second term.

‘The conservative in the race is Dr. Kelli Ward.  Another McCain even one named Martha McSally, is a bridge too far. This is an indication of the dung the duo attempted to spread regarding never implemented border security nearly a year and a half ago. Remember, this is the same McCain who deceitfully strolled the border with then-Sheriff Paul Babeu and vowed, with his fingers crossed behind his back, tocomplete the dang fence.”

Foul-mouthed radical leftist wins Sandra Day O’Connor award

March 28, 2018

Ashley Judd, a self-declared “Nasty Woman,” struck a low note at the Women’s March in Washington with her vulgar tirade (video) denouncing then-newly elected President Donald Trump. With her historical ignorance on full display, she referred to him and those in his not even sworn-in administration as “Nazis.” Though her crude rant was timed to detract from his Jan. 20, 2017 inauguration, Judd is now deemed worthy of honor.

The Arizona Republic newspaper, noted for its unconcealed liberal bias, headlined the coverage, ‘Honor of a Lifetime.’ Judd, a wild radical with a penchant for shouting shock talk, received the Sandra Day O’Connor Lifetime Achievement Award Monday at the Arizona Foundation for Women’s 2018 luncheon at the Arizona Biltmore Resort.

Both the actress turned radical activist and the woman’s group venerating her have a decidedly liberal agenda. Among the past recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award named after former U. S. Supreme Court Justice and Arizona-raised Sandra Day O’Connor — known as a disappointing swing vote on the court exacerbated by her discord with conservative Justice Clarence Thomas — are Tipper Gore (Al Gore‘s ex-wife honored prior to their divorce); Marian Wright Edelman (longtime ally of Hillary Clinton); Janet Napolitano, (Arizona’s abysmal Democrat governor who took a midterm hike to ineffectively head the Department of Homeland Security for Barack Obama); Billy Jean King (lesbians have become a necessary component of women’s list honorees); Maria Schriver (member of the Kennedy clan); Madeleine Albright (best known for saying, “there’s a special place in hell“ for women who don’t support Hillary Clinton.) Of course, no list would be complete without the inclusion of beer heiress Cindy Hensley McCain.

In the event coverage, Ashley Judd is described as a “humanitarian,” which must be the current nom de plume for an out-of-work actress with a still hopeful agent. Her last film credits were prior to 2015, and even those were sparse.  Being a chronically unemployed liberal, historically ignorant and vulgar have catapulted Judd into lifetime achievement status. Where does she go from this pinnacle?

Dana Loesch: “NRA biggest defender of free speech” & crucial UPDATE

March 27, 2018

MUST READ UPDATE: 97-year-old former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens advocates repealing the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

With Second Amendment restrictionists maligning our constitutional rights and bellowing that guns are the culprits in mass shootings perpetrated by evil or mentality ill assassins, we bring you a voice of sanity.

“The NRA has been the biggest defender of free speech. I find it interesting that those individuals who simultaneously preach about free speech want to silence the speech of the millions of people who make up NRA membership.” –Dana Loesch

The NRA couldn’t have a more impassioned, articulate than Dana Loesch. Listening to her is always enlightening.

This linked video is when most of us first met Dana Loesch, in her national NRA role. It was an unforgettable introduction.

A few fast facts you might not have known:

Before seeing the light, Dana Loesch was once a registered Democrat, who worked on Bill Clinton’s second-term campaign. She and her music producer husband Chris Loesch, a Republican who influenced her politically and now manages her busy schedule, jointly home-school their two sons. An award winning investigative reporter, she has co-founded a tea party, worked as a radio talk show host and was appointed editor-in-chief for Big Journalism, part of the Breitbart network of conservative media. They are devout Christians. Although she endorsed Ted Cruz in the 2016 presidential primary, after President Trump’s election, she became a self described “passionate defender” of his presidency.

NRA Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, Wayne LaPierre, explains the NRA’s position on raising the age (video) for purchasers of firearms.

It was bound to happen. In a New York Times op-ed published today, former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, a well concealed RINO appointed to the high court by Pres. Gerald Ford, urges the repeal of the Second Amendment. Born into privilege in 1920, Stevens was previously appointed to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals by Pres. Richard Nixon.

His bizarre lack of regard for our Constitution could be laid off to the fact that Stevens is 97-years-old. We can reasonably assume a surrogate wrote this commentary. Regardless of its origins, it is a disgraceful effort to undermine our nation‘s foundational underpinnings.

Stevens was 90 years of age when he retired. Rather than repealing the Second Amendment, Americans should revisit the wisdom of lifetime appointments for Supreme Court Justices. Call your members of congress.

This is what we’re up against.  Be vigilant, anJOIN the NRA today. We have few other protectors of our rights.

AZ Conservative conference attendees threatened with hormone dosing at Starbucks

March 26, 2018

With the outrageous spectacle of an unread $1.3 trillion spending bill signed into law, the brash and under educated anti-Second Amendment marchers sucking up air, and a yawn inducing aging porn star desperately seeking attention and cash —- all dominating the news, this story might have been missed.

Never forget liberals are hard at work. Whether in D.C., being sidled up to by a desperate-for-ratings ancient prime time show or colluding with radicals to destroy our Constitutional freedoms, the agenda driven crowd keeps itself busy.  So busy, in fact, this deserving of coverage story was consigned to an indifferent dismissal status.

The highly anticipated Western Conservative Conference, featuring a star-studded array of conservative leaders, was held at the Phoenix Convention Center this past weekend.

The report concerns a woman allegedly posing as a Starbucks employee at the Convention Center who tweeted this blatant threat to slip estradiol (female hormone) pills into the coffee of convention attendees. The prescription drug has numerous side affects and is not intended to be given as a lark.

Aaron Klein writing for Breitbart News covers the creepy saga.

Teen anti-gun marchers, influenced by leftists, descend on DC, other cities

March 25, 2018

Teen mobs led by liberal celebrities march throughout USA

Under-educated students who haven’t been effectively taught the history of our nation’s founding and the enduring greatness of our American Constitution, are flexing their political muscle and threatening to remove members of congress who support the Second Amendment.

Think about that.

Many of them will be first time voters during this fall’s midterm elections. Voter registration activists were among throngs of young Americans who marched for tighter gun laws on Saturday, signing up thousands of soon-to-be voters who want to eject lawmakers who oppose gun control.  Organizers of the voter registration drive hoped to sign up at least 25,000 participants in the DC march alone, a promising boost for Democrats.

Estimates of the March for Our Lives crowd size ranged in the hundreds of thousands, who lemming-like flocked to DC as they flock to rock concerts. Since they are teens, the question is who financed their trek to the nation’s capitol, where food and lodging are not inexpensive. Did they all have parental consent? With or without consent, we find that their benefactors were the left-wing Hollywood elite, who provided funding and buses for the trip. The NAACP was among the co-sponsors of the event, with Martin Luther King, Jr’s young granddaughter calling for the elimination of all guns. Breitbart provides info on the celebs.

This is 17-year-old David Hogg, (video) a survivor of the Parkland Florida high school massacre. Seventeen of his classmates were slaughtered by a crazed, recently expelled fellow student who should have been on the FBI’s watch list, and disallowed to purchase a gun, since the police had been called to the family home two dozen times prior to his murderous rampage at the school.

Rather than engendering compassionate action, cocky, foul-mouthed Hogg uses his new-found status to disparage parents, senior citizens, Florida’s Gov. Rick Scott and issues threats to congress and the Second Amendment. And wouldn’t you know?  He‘s an aspiring journalist. In his profanity laced interview, Hogg calls himself the NRA’s “worst nightmare.”

HeadCount conducts voter registration drives at concerts, and claims it has registered over 500,000 young voters since 2004 — “translating the power of music intro real action.” Missing is any mention of learning about our system of government or the views of individual candidates. These are liberals on the rise. Though they claim to be disconnected from a political party, they direct people to the AFL-CIO union scoreboard and announce, “We balance the power of the wealthy,” (those are the job creators, folks) whom they claim exploit workers — referring to Right to Work laws as “racist.”

Rock the Vote, calls Arizona a “vote blocking state,” claiming it restricts voter rights, appears on DiscovertheNetworks.org: A Guide to the Political Left. RTV also works to register and mobilize voters aged 18-29 to support left-wing Democrat political candidates. Like HeadCount, it forms partnerships with music-industry and popular-culture icons who share the organization’s left-wing values, and use their celebrity status to influence the opinions of young voters.

If your kids are concert goers, you need to get up to speed on these insidious groups and their agendas. Who would have thought music would become a political menace to our Constitutional freedoms?

Trump wasn’t elected to capitulate to Dems, RINOs

March 24, 2018

Chuck and Nancy” will ride this charger to the midterms and Republicans will not be the benficiaries

The $1.3 trillion Omnibus spending bill — all 2,232-pages of it that no one read — was signed into law by President Trump on Friday, despite a threatened veto. Bluster without action is worthless.

We saw more responsible leadership from him on the reality show, ‘The Apprentice.’

As he affixed his signature to the bloated monstrosity, Trump disparaged the legislation as “crazy” vowing “I will never sign another bill like this again — I’m not going to do it again.” Still, he yielded to advisers and squish GOP leaders Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell who warned that standing firm would precipitate a government shutdown crisis.

So what?

According to this Fox News report, the government has shut down a total of 20 times since Congress introduced the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act, which established the federal budget process in 1976. Half of those shutdowns occurred over a weekend. Democrat and Republican presidents have presided over the closures.

President Trump’s capitulation to the Democrats will have far reaching consequences, none of them positive. He is encumbering our grandchildren’s great-grandchildren with massive debt and selling our soul to retaliatory enemies like China, who already have us by the shorthairs. Heritage Foundation explains the spending. Schumer gets his tunnel and taxpayers get the shaft.

Americans rallied behind Donald Trump in large measure because he campaigned on securing our nation against the invasion of illegal aliens, drugs and criminality. His promise of building a border wall resonated. Now, he expressed frustration that the lowball estimates of 800,000 DACA recipients received no protection in the law. He can’t keep the continued support of American voters while he bemoans the lack pf protections to this mass of illegals whose claims are unverifiable but will swell the ranks of the Democrat Party.

Sorry, Mr. President.  You can’t have it both ways.

The law he signed includes no money for the wall, impedes the hiring of thousands of border patrol agents, blocked deep cuts to foreign aid, the diplomatic corps and environmental programs; thwarted a push to fund vouchers for private and parochial schools and even shovels more money at the already well-funded Endowments for the Arts and the Humanities. Sanctuary cities and Planned Parenthood were not scaled back, but received increases — as did the salaries of congressional staffers.

Laura Ingraham gets it right with this Tweet.

Ann Coulter has this to say.

On his radio program, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh unequivocally states, “This budget was designed to end the Trump presidency.” If you missed it, the transcript is here.

Arizona Republic praises McSally for border deceit

March 23, 2018

Enthusiastically compares her lies to those of McCain and Flake

As difficult as it is to believe, the liberal Arizona Republic newspaper editorially accuses senate candidate Martha McSally ofpulling a McCainon the border, while excusing John McCain’s and Jeff Flake‘s flagrant pre-election border deceit by saying, “every politician at some point makes an accommodation to the political winds. And in primary season in Arizona, the battles are fought in the lowlands of the extreme right.”

Take a moment to ruminate on those venomous words aimed at conservative Arizonans and shot at point blank range.

The Republic’s accusation is actually an accolade. No wonder the squish Republicrat, who is sure to win the newspaper’s GOP primary endorsement, is alternately known as Sally McCain. Rest assured they’ll drop her like a hot rock in the General Election when radical Kyrsten Sinema will secure the newspaper’s endorsement.

“In the past,” the editorial board glibly acknowledges, “that has meant moderates like John McCain and Jeff Flake have masqueraded as hardliners on immigration. Even Democrats knew when to go into full border hawk. Former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords could pound the drums of border protection with the best of them.”

“Now it’s Martha McSally’s turn,” according to the leftist, lie-condoning editorial board.

Seeing Red AZ supports conservative Dr. Kelli Ward for the U.S. Senate. She actually means what she says when she speaks in favor of securing the border.  Meet her as she appears with, and is endorsed by, Dr. Sebastian Gorka:

AZ teachers shamefully shut down schools

March 22, 2018

Wearing red T-shirts emblazoned with “#RedForEd,” hundreds of Pendergast School District teachers staged a fake “sick out” abandoning their classrooms Wednesday protesting what they claim are low wages. Their actions left working parents scrambling for day care — many had to leave their own jobs, putting their livelihood risk — as teachers taught students the valuable lesson that not showing up for work is a productive way to air grievances.

We hear a lot about underpaid teachers. Teachers protest and school districts hold budget overrides and bond elections to “get more money into the classroom” —- eduspeak for bolstering teacher’s salaries. A major premise of passing the Arizona Lottery in 1980 was that money from ticket purchases would make its way to schools.

Passage of ballot propositions — 301 in 2000 increasing the state sales tax and 123 in 2016 a grab from the state land trust — guaranteed more money, which apparently is never enough.

How is it that “underpaid” teachers are able to send union dues specifically earmarked to fund mostly liberal politicians?  These are the people who spend more time influencing American students than their parents do. Consider why leftist Barack Obama and self-declared Socialist Bernie Sanders cornered the youth vote.

Open Secrets/The Center for Responsive Politics shows the $ millions the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) lobbying arms give to the most left-wing elected officials. The AFT gave not one thin dime to Republicans.

There are problems that appear endemic to the schools of education from which the teachers graduate and, consequently, the teachers as well, that have nothing to do with money. Sample certification test questions are included in Dr. Walter Williams’ columnEducational Rot,” with Arizona represented, exposing the shockingly low bar for getting hired. Reading it will  arm you with crucial information about many of your kid’s teachers, without having to join and pay dues to radical teachers’ unions.

Arizona Education Association members recently marched at the Arizona Capitol protesting tuition tax credits. Allowing taxpayers to make tax-deductible contributions to the private, parochial or charter schools of their choice is anathema to the educrat unionists, who want unfettered control as they indoctrinate students, denying parental choice.

Arizona Education Project disproves the educrat notion that due to low wages, Arizona schools are at the lowest rung in the nation. You’ll read that five of the top seven public high schools in America are located here in Arizona, according to US News & World Report – in Scottsdale, Tucson, Oro Valley, Peoria, and Chandler.

Read 10 Facts You May Not Know About Education in Arizona. It’s news you need and aren’t getting. Armed with the facts, it’s time for informed parents to march. The only roadblock is they have jobs where their presence is required. And unlike teachers, they don’t have the luxury of frequent half days, lengthy holiday vacations or the entire summer off.
