AZ Republic buries Dem arson report that plays out wrong

Democrat operative burned down AZ Democrat headquarters

Under the cover of early morning darkness last Friday July 24, a ravaging fire broke out at Arizona Democrat party headquarters. Classified as arson by Phoenix police, it was responsible for destroying party records, furnishings and historic political memorabilia.

The timing, in advance of the Primary Election, appeared Watergately suspicious. Who would be moved to create such havoc at this particular time?

When an arrest was made with the aid of surveillance video, the culprit turned out to be Matthew Egler, a disgruntled elected Democrat Precinct Committeeman and State Committeeman, self identified as President/Chairmen Valley Leadership Council.

Egler had previously worked at the party headquarters, which likely accounts for the placement of the report. The Hillary-endorsing, Trump-hating Arizona Republic newspaper chose to place the follow-up naming Matthew Egler on Page 3 of the inside Valley & State section.

If the perpetrator had been a Republican —  playing into the newspaper’s hoped for narrative — it would have merited a Page One, bold headlined report. When the arsonist is a 29-year-old Democrat activist, who still lives with his parents and posts bizarre online rantings, the focus is…not to focus.

The police do a superb job. The barely surviving local newspaper excels at agenda-driven obfuscation.

Dem platform demonizes “whites,” elevates BLM

Democrats are busy drafting their party’s national platform in advance of the August 17 – 20, 2020 Milwaukee convention. Politico has published the draft version that is bound to shock White leftists and high dollar donors who think they are integral to their party. It begins by paying homage to the Tribal Nations who are described as the stewards of the indigenous homelands known as Wisconsin.

Rather than offering substance, President Donald Trump and his administration are blasted throughout the 80-page document. The President of the United States is referred to as a “crass, craven and corrupt leader.” Pushing Socialist George Soros’ ideal of “Criminal Justice Reform,” there is no crime too heinous to be worthy of what they call “unjust sentences.” It is doubtless the first party platform to specifically mention “transgender and non-binary people” and specifically “Black transgender women.” The platform supports “Black Lives Matter,” which is tantamount to endorsing the criminality and violence that has overtaken American cities.

Dems not only support abortion “rights,” but also Second Amendment restrictions. Their platform includes the stated “belief” that “gun companies should be held responsible for their products, just like any other business, and will prioritize repealing the law that shields gun manufacturers from civil liability.”

Paul Bedard, “Washington Secrets” columnist for the Washington Examiner, titles his column, “Democratic National Committee platform mentions ‘whites’ 15 times, all damning.” It’s a must read and especially clarifying for those, like every family’s doddering Uncle Walt, who mistakenly think there’s not much difference between the two parties.

Bedard notes “whites are mentioned 15 times, all critical, including three references to white supremacy or supremacists and one to white nationalists. The document doesn’t capitalize white as it does Black, Latinos, Asian Americans, and Native Americans.” In a numbered list he details the negative references to whites.

For a memory jogger Seeing Red AZ gifts our readers with a post containing the shocking video from the 2012 Democrat National Convention, which we titled, “Chaos reigns as Dems boo God, Jeer Jerusalem.” Both the post and the embedded video are brief but serve as stark reminders of not only who the Democrats are, but how the embarrassed party leadership had to manipulate the vote on the passage of the platform following three votes and were loudly denounced by the delegates.

Ever morphing Nathan Sproul still up to old tricks

Just a year ago, a brightly smiling Meghan Cox was featured in the Phoenix Business Journal as an honoree of the “40 Under 40” up-and-coming business leaders. 

More recently, she’s the subject of a less glowing Arizona Republic headline, “Report ties Arizona political operative to Ohio bribery case.” Cox has not been charged with a crime.

The Dayton Daily News covered what has been described as “the largest bribery case ever in Ohio” here, reporting Ohio Republican House Speaker Larry Householder and four other prominent men have been arrested in a $60 million federal bribery case, charged with participating in a racketeering conspiracy. The charge carries up to 20 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine. The scheme was tied to the $1.3 billion taxpayer-funded bailout of Ohio’s two struggling nuclear power plants.

Opponents launched a citizen referendum campaign to send the bailout package to the ballot, where voters would have an opportunity to reject it. Speaker Householder and his allies counterattacked by paying petitioners for the referendum campaign, which had 60 days to collect 265,000 signatures, not to work or to switch sides.

As part of that effort, Householder’s operation hired Tempe-based Lincoln Strategy Group, previously known as Sproul and Associates until the name become toxic. Nathan Sproul is no stranger to nefarious dealings. Meghan Cox, identified as “a leading expert in ballot initiative access and strategy” is listed on the website as co-founder and principal.

This 82-page criminal complaint (rife with redactions) against Householder and his allies includes text message exchanges between an unnamed signature collector and a woman who identifies herself as Meghan, asking if the petition carrier is still working for the referendum campaign and offering $2,500 “to sign on with our team today. Begin reading on page 75.

When her offer is rejected, Meghan tells the person, “If you aren’t interested in my offer – no worries. Thank you.” The contact then questioned her ethics and inferred that her conduct was illegal.

Meghan’s phone number and the company she identified herself as working for are redacted in the complaint. The complaint refers to Meghan as “Contractor 1” and her company as “Petition Services Co 2.” Meghan has since been identified as Meghan Cox

The hard-left local newspaper provides a platform for Sproul to spew as an opinion contributor. This one goes back to 2008.

This 2008 post reveals even more Sproul trickery as we wrote in “Prop 202: Arizona’s ‘Stop Illegal Hiring’ Act is a Sham.” He used a deceptive name intended to fool voters who overwhelmingly support controls.

In 2014 SRAZ wrote, “Below-the-belt politics? Nathan Sproul lurks nearby.”

In 2012,the RNC fired Sproul after reports of voter fraud. This action came as three employees of Strategic Allied Consulting, a firm owned by operative Nathan Sproul, pleaded guilty in Florida to felony charges related to altering and destroying scores of voter registration forms. Investigations were also launched in Colorado and Nevada.

These reveals are just the tip of the Sprouling iceberg, but they show his descending path since serving as the head of the AZ Christian Coalition and then as Executive Director of the AZ Republican Party. Deception is far more lucrative.

Overindulged, undereducated mobs protest law enforcement in Tempe

Capitulation rather than incarceration emboldens criminal mobs, leads to increased destruction, violence

The most reprehensible trend sweeping our nation this summer are the mobs of anarchist thugs taking over cities, setting fires, seriously injuring responding police, destroying property, including police cars, toppling historic monuments, looting and engaging in mayhem. This is all in the name of Black Lives Matter, and ostensibly in tribute to George Floyd, a career criminal, high on illicit drugs and an unlikely martyr but for his death at the knee of a white Minneapolis police officer. Floyd was restrained while resisting arrest for passing a counterfeit $20 bill. The officer has been charged with second degree murder and is currently in jail awaiting trial as are three officers who did not participate, but did nothing to stop what turned out to be Floyd’s suffocation. One officer was a new hire.

Monday the mob took over portions of Tempe, blocking the Mill Avenue Bridge to call attention to two other deaths, one in 2016, the other a criminal robbing a local pharmacy.

The protest had less to do with deaths than with leftist politics as evidenced by the involvement of Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) and Tempe Against Police Violence, bent on ending immunity from lawsuits against law enforcement officers doing their job.

As mobs take to the streets in cities controlled by Democrats across America, they stand as testament to overindulgent upbringing, where parents give too much and expect too little, where schools no longer award merit, but hand out participation certificates, so as not to offend the sensibilities of those who didn’t achieve meritorious levels in academics or athletics. The level playing field is Marxism in its purest form.

These vandals did not spring from thin air. They were indoctrinated in government schools by far-left teachers, taught climate change instead of American and world history and recycling instead of geography. Their parents were too busy to pay attention and indulged them rather than engaged them. Wanton thuggery, ignorance and lack of respect is the result.

Planned Parenthood endorsed “conservative” Rodney Glassman

RETAIN EDDIE COOK AS ASSESSOR

Rodney Glassman, who has repeatedly and unsuccessfully run for public office as a Democrat, is back again, this time as a self declared “conservative” running for Maricopa County Assessor. Just two years ago in 2018, Glassman carried the union label as he appeared on the UFCW Local 99 endorsement list along with Democrats running for statewide, congressional, district and school board elections.

Glassman, who bears no allegiance to any party or position, is a political opportunist who can magically transform himself better than Erik Weisz who morphed into Houdini.

Misguided conservatives who are supporting him might be surprised to know that in his previous political incarnations, he was the darling of both local and national Planned Parenthood leadership. In 2012 when Democrat Glassman ran for the U.S. Senate challenging John McCain, he won the endorsement of both Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona:

“This election is crucial, and we need leaders in the U.S. Senate who will stand strong against attempts to restrict women’s access to basic health care and who will champion policies that make that health care more available to all women,” said Cecile Richards, then-president of the national Planned Parenthood Action Fund. “Rodney Glassman’s record of public service and charitable giving stands on its own, and he is a proven advocate for women’s health and rights.”

To pro-abortion advocates, women’s “reproductive health care and rights” is code talk for the unrestricted ability to kill pre-born human babies.

“The voters in Arizona are tired of politics as usual from their elected officials who represent them in Washington,” said Bryan Howard, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona. “They want to elect a champion of women’s health, and Rodney Glassman is that candidate. He is committed to standing up for women and families by putting commonsense health care needs ahead of ideology and politics.”

Incumbent Maricopa County Assessor Eddie Cook is a man of integrity, a reliable, conservative community leader, technology expert and former member of the Gilbert Town Council where he served for nearly a decade. Cook was unanimously appointed by the Board of Supervisors as Maricopa County Assessor over 10 other GOP applicants — including Glassman — when his predecessor was removed after being charged with adoption related felonies in multiple states. Eddie Cook is restoring trust and accountability to the office, eliminating waste and saving taxpayers money. Take time to read his priorities and accomplishments.

This is an important election. It’s crucial to retain Eddie Cook as Assessor.  Don’t be conned by the biggest signs placed by wealthy political changeling Rodney Glassman, desperate for a win to use as a launching pad for grander schemes. His current intent is to buy his way into office…any office…to facilitate his future plans.

U.S. Rep. Gohmert’s resolution to ban Democrat Party

Republican brilliance shines bright

The old adage, “Turnabout is fair play,” applies, as Texas conservative Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert (impressive bio) introduced this astute resolution July 23, 2020. The resolution is quick reading and will brighten your day. 

Gohmert’s action came a day after passage of a bill supported by hard-left Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi requiring all items that name any political party or organization that supported slavery be removed from the House of Representatives wing of the U.S. Capitol or connected House office buildings.

Rep. Gohmert, a former judge, issued this statement explaining the resolution, calling on Congress to ban any political party or organization that has held a public position supportive of slavery:

“As outlined in the resolution, a great portion of the history of the Democratic Party is filled with racism and hatred. Since people are demanding we rid ourselves of the entities, symbols, and reminders of the repugnant aspects of our past, then the time has come for Democrats to acknowledge their party’s loathsome and bigoted past, and consider changing their party name to something that isn’t so blatantly and offensively tied to slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination, and the Ku Klux Klan. As the country watches violent leftists burn our cities, tear down our statues and call upon every school, military base and city street to be renamed, it is important to note that past atrocities these radicals claim to be so violently offensive were largely committed by members in good standing of the Democratic Party. Whether it be supporting the most vile forms of racism or actively working against Civil Rights legislation, Democrats in this country perpetuated these abhorrent forms of discrimination and violence practically since their party’s inception. To avoid triggering innocent bystanders by the racist past of the Democratic Party, I would suggest they change their name. That is the standard to which they are holding everyone else, so the name change needs to occur.”

Among the four co-sponsors is conservative Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs, (R-CD-5).

Another DACA recipient takes American lives

The death of George Floyd, a black man with a lengthy, violent criminal history and numerous incarcerations, has vaulted him into martyrdom. He died while being restrained by a white police officer, now jailed and facing Second Degree murder charges. Three other officers, one a rookie, are also incarcerated, awaiting trial for not interfering. Floyd has become the unlikely impetus for calls to defund police departments, national riots, wanton destruction, and the movement to discard America’s historic monuments.

That the police were initially called based on Floyd attempting to pass a counterfeit $20 bill in a store has faded into oblivion, as has the fact that his autopsy report revealed numerous illicit drugs in his system.

But count on the fact that few Americans have heard the names of Jerry Wayne Harbour, Michael White, and Joseph Paglia, three members of a police motorcycle group who were killed by Ivan Robles Navejas, 28, an illegal alien drunk driver who received Obama’s illegitimate DACA amnesty. And unlike with Floyd, there will be no outcry for policy changes to rectify the scourge of repeat offender criminal aliens who are allowed to remain in the country and further victimize Americans. KTSA San Antonio news radio covered the deaths and provides photos of the three victims and the drunk driving killer.

 SRAZ addressed the impact of just two cases in which Arizonans, Mesa Police Sgt. Brandon Mendoza and young convenience store clerk Grant Ronnebeck were killed by illegal aliens. Their parents praised President Trump’s efforts to address this criminality through the creation of Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office to support the victims and families affected by illegal alien crime.

Navejas, a Mexican national, was shielded from deportation by former Pres. Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which remains in effect due to a disappointing June 18, 2020 U.S. Supreme Court decision.

In November 2014, Obama announced changes to DACA expanding it to include illegals who entered the country prior to 2010, eliminating the quasi requirement that applicants be younger than 31 years old, and lengthening the renewable deferral period.

Obama’s efforts, intended to expand the Democrat party, were aided by his Arizona pal, and traveling buddy, Sen. Jeff Flake, whose 18% home state approval ratings were so low he opted to retire after a single term.

In 2018, SRAZ wrote, Jeff’s Flaky dreamers are a farce: most are adults, not “kids,” which reveals the truth about DACA recipients. There is no accurate means of verifying if they were brought into the U.S. as infants by their illegally invading parents, or arrived last year after hoisting themselves over the border.

Devolving America: Rioters ignored by law enforcement

Michelle Malkin is a resolute conservative with numerous credentials, including political commentator, author and columnist. In the days when the increasingly radical and now hemorrhaging subscriptions Arizona Republic had an op-ed page, her columns, those of Thomas Sowell, Cal Thomas and other rational thinkers were a welcome relief from the increasing onslaught of uni-view leftist spew.

Prophetically, in 2009, Thomas wrote, “We will get more of what we tolerate.”

Last Sunday, Malkin was a featured speaker at a Police Appreciation Day “Back the Blue” rally at the Denver Civic Center in her home state of Colorado. Leftist antifa thugs stormed the stage, assaulting her and others who assembled in support of the police. Malkin, whose parents immigrated from the Philippines, was bizarrely called a “white supremacist.”

The pro-law enforcement sentiment was not returned as a retreat order was issued and no arrests were made. Anti-American goons increasingly have the upper hand across America as chaos reigns in Democrat-led cities. Private property is destroyed, historic monuments are toppled, while continually escalating mob violence and looting become routine.

Police Chief Paul Pazen, who previously linked arms and marched with BLM hoodlums, actually asked the pro-police organizers to reschedule or move the rally and provide their own security. Pazen has overseen antifa assaults on 76 Denver officers and $millions worth of damage.

This first-rate editorial titled,“Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen needs to resign or be fired now,” provides clarifying facts.

Malkin’s spot on assessment is contained in these cogent words, “The toxic combination of “pandemic panic” and “George Floyd derangement syndrome” has thoroughly destroyed the home of the brave. It is a paradise for the depraved and dictatorial.”

Malkin’s column describing the Sunday afternoon debacle is titled, “One Nation Under Anarcho-Tyranny.” It’s tough, but necessary reading. Knowledge is power.

“Important city of Arizona” hasn’t missed Joe Biden’s notice

Arizona Democrats have even more reason to be proud of Joe Biden, their party’s presidential nominee.

Biden, well known even in his heyday as the “gaffe king” for his many malaprops, factual filching and general butchery of the English language, outdoes even himself with his usage of bewildered speech, as he shows increasing signs of cognitive decline. During this 2020 campaign, a confused Biden actually told audiences, “We chose truth over facts,” and “Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.” The Washington Examiner lists even more, reporting he even botched the Declaration of Independence quote, finally telling his baffled audience, “You know the thing.”

Recently, after emerging from his basement bunker, he spoke of the great state of Arizona with KPNX-TV News anchor Mark Curtis. Biden referred to our state, home to the Grand Canyon, as “an important city.” (Brief video)

The Phoenix-based NBC affiliate, with longstanding ties to the far-left Biden supporting Arizona Republic, immediately faded to black.

Dem legislator’s NY-based son votes in AZ elections

Believe it or not, in Arizona we have a member of the state legislature who actually chooses to go by the moniker “Mitzi.” Her bills are equally vacuous, as evidenced by HB2339, prohibiting releasing of balloons, which didn‘t fly far. But as it turns out, that’s small potatoes in LD 18 Democrat Mitzi Epstein’s world.

Her 29-year-old actor son, Daniel Jonathon Epstein, a New York resident has continued to vote in Arizona elections. But this can’t come as much of a shock to mom Mitzi Epstein, since his ballots have been  mailed to his parent’s Tempe home in Alexander precinct. Conveniently, Daniel is listed on the Permanent Early Voting List, Arizona’s voluntary mail-in voter roll that doesn’t require renewal. His resume lists him as a New York resident going back to 2015. Previous to that, he was living in California.

Democrats, both locally and nationally, have been the most strident champions of all-mail-in ballots, which Republicans have steadfastly asserted are open to fraud.

The Epstein’s are Exhibit A in making that case.

It’s time to replace Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes, a hard left Democrat, who has fallen down on the job of overseeing elections in the nation’s fifth most populous county, with a population greater than 23 states. The guarantee of secure elections is a fundamental expectation of each and every voting citizen. We should accept nothing less. Fortunately, we have a choice with Republican Stephen Richer, who is committed to ballot integrity.

Scot Musi, writing for American Greatness, notes that several weeks ago news broke that a complaint had been filed with Attorney General Mark Brnovich alleging possible felony voter fraud relating to Daniel Epstein’s ballots.
