Leftist author correctly assesses Dem’s debates

June 30, 2019

“I suspect that the Democrats’ new position — everyone in the world can become an American if they walk over the border…is political suicide.”

As mind-numbing as it was to watch far-left candidates try to outpace one another in give-aways — including health care,  college tuition and even our country — many conservatives toughed it out. We watched the Democrat debates to size up the contenders. The consensus centered on the fact it was akin to watching tryouts for a comedy show, rather than competing for the tough job of being the leader of the free world.

An excellent assessment is provided by an unlikely source. Andrew Sullivan, a gay, British-born, naturalized American author. In 2003 Sullivan wrote he was “no longer able to support the American conservative movement, as he was disaffected by the Republican Party’s rightward drift on social issues.”

Still, Sullivan nailed it with,The Democratic Candidates Are in a Bubble on Immigration.” As the old saying goes, “Even a broken clock is right twice a day.”

He ends his column with these two words of wisdom: “Advantage Trump.”

McCain Institute falls on hard times

June 29, 2019

It took a total of three pages for the gloomy Page One story to be fleshed out. Listen closely and you can almost hear the gnashing of teeth over the ominous news bearing this headline: “ASU’s McCain Institute faces new challenges without senator.”

It’s a good bet the institute bearing the name of the deity worshiped by the adoring sycophants at the Hillary-endorsing Arizona Republic, was heading south prior to this lengthy admission of despair. McCain called Hillary arock starhe could support in 2016. They were both recipients of Socialist, America hating, multi-billionaire George Soros’ generosity.

The article interviews a high dollar donor who talks in terms of McCain’s “legacy,” always McCain’s paramount consideration. We are reminded that the man who graduated at the bottom of his U.S. Naval Academy class, was “the son and grandson of admirals” — which is how the flamboyant hotshot who crashed three navy planes, gained admittance to the USNA’s hallowed halls in the first place.

Cindy Lou Hensley McCain, a beer empire heiress, is given coverage. She is identified as a “humanitarian activist and philanthropist,” who also goes on record with talk of “advancing her husband’s legacy and values.” In fact, she has hired a Hollywood agent to book paid speaking engagements for her. Cindy’s going rate is between $5,000 and $10,000.

Between selling their luxury penthouse in the Biltmore area and buying and renovating a nearly $3 million French chateau inspired home in the upscale North Central corridor, she’s also been busy taking over as chairman of the Washington, D.C. based McCain Institute.

In her public statement, she said, “The mission of the McCain Institute, to advance values-based leadership around the world, has always been important to my family.  I believe the work of the Institute, from fighting human trafficking to training the next generation of international leaders to advancing human rights and democracy, is more important now than ever. I’m honored to take on this role, particularly as the Institute undertakes an ambitious set of new initiatives to expand its impact.”

Human trafficking is a topic Cindy McCain has made her hallmark, even when it involves blatant deception. Cindy concocted a preposterous story about witnessing the trafficking of a toddler at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and went public with it, though her account was disputed by Phoenix Police.

The anorexic newspaper, back on the auction block, functions largely with student reporters, lacking editors. Now reduced to vagrant status after being forced to sell its 10-story building and parking garage, it pathetically pleads with readers, “Have news to share about Arizona’s U.S. senators or national politics? Reach [the reporter] on Twitter and Facebook.” Her contact info is included. “Support local journalism,” it begs. “Subscribe (newspaper’s link is provided) today.”

Major banks suffering Trump Derangement Syndrome

BofA joins Wells Fargo and Chase protesting border detention centers — preferring invasion

Families Belong Together is an open borders coalition founded in the conviction that the United Sates of America is ripe for the taking. Our sovereign borders mean nothing and our citizens should not only welcome illegal invaders, but financially support them.

The fact that we welcome a million, eager to assimilate, legal immigrants each year is irrelevant.

The anti-Trump organization has latched on to “separation of families at the border” as its defining issue, referring to it as a crisis. They claim to want to reunite families, through the implementation of “comprehensive immigration reform,” which in reality, as Sen. Ted Cruz pointed out in this interview with Rush Limbaugh, is rechristened “amnesty.” Those three words are all too familiar to Arizonans, who well remember John McCain and Jon Kyl’s alignment with the most liberal Democrats on the issue. They worked with leftists from Ted Kennedy to Gang of Eight members, including Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin and Robert Menendez. Single-term Sen. Jeff Flake replaced retired Kyl, and pushed ever harder for amnesty for illegals. Flake’s political career, based in Trump hatred and amnesty imploded.

Two of the largest private prison companies, CoreCivic and GeoGroup, have been contracted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to manage some of the detention centers housing the colossal numbers of illegals who have caravanned through Mexico to our border. Rick Moran writing for PJ Media reports nearly 90 percent of illegals fail to show up for court hearings.

Numerous radically left organizations, including Socialist George Soros’ MoveOn, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, MomsRising, Presente.org, In The Public Interest, Little Sis, Color of Change, Make the Road New York, AVAAZ, ACRE, Enlace, the Center for Popular Democracy, Freedom Cities, ROC United, Candide Group and others have joined Families Belong Together pressuring Wells Fargo and JP Morgan Chase banks to stop financing Geo Group and CoreCivic. They also want to abolish ICE, a new mantra of the left.

Wells Fargo and Chase were easy pushovers, Now they’ve been joined by Bank of America. These financial institutions have made it clear they prefer hindering President Trump’s Herculean efforts at national security. The banks bizarrely support the invasion of our country in preference to their American customers. This is a partial listing of other federally insured banks. Notice the banks that align with illegal aliens also stick it to their customers with the lowest interest rates.

According to this most recent World Bank report, illegal aliens and actual immigrants sent a record $53.4 billion in American currency — tax-free remittances — back to Mexico and Central America in 2018 in a massive transfer of wealth siphoned out of the USA. That’s more than double the estimated cost of building a secure border barrier on the U.S./Mexico border. These numbers exclude remittances sent to other countries.

Taxing those billions of outgoing American dollars should begin immediately, with those monies earmarked to pay for the wall.

AZ educrat duplicity cheats students of a future

June 27, 2019

The latest report assessing the AzMERIT test scores for our state’s students points to abysmal failure, with over half of the students failing in math and third graders unable to pass the reading exams.

The scores of seventh, eighth and ninth graders fell in English. According to the report, fewer than 40% of those eighth grade and higher even passed basic proficiency in the language of our country.

But the Arizona Department of Education proudly proclaims the test’s new name AzM2! (complete with an exclamation point.) Educrats priorities are skewed as our children are academically screwed.

If your stomach is strong enough, check out Arizona’s schools and their stats. You’ve been forewarned.  SRAZ has randomly picked one. Scroll through the entire page and chart. It is listed as NR (academically Not Rated). With a Kindergarten through third grade student body of 766, listed as nearly 80% Hispanic, and likely a high percentage of English Language Learners (ESL), the mission statement is shameful  There is no commitment to academic excellence, but rather this blather:

“A community that inspires future doers. In order to actualize our school vision, we here at Sevilla East School are committed to: 1. Creating a safe and loving environment for all. 2. Providing physical and emotional support for all stakeholders. 3. Engaging and empowering our community. 4. Challenging all stakeholders to tap into their highest potential to realize their dreams. 5. Holding one another accountable.”

The actual number of English language learners is redacted. Students, “without disabilities,” who received one or more in-school suspensions? 28. Students with Chronic Absenteeism? 258. Students Enrolled in at least one Advanced Placement Course? Zip. Zero. Nadda.

The teachers who are doing such an exemplary job of dumbing down our children are the same ones who dressed themselves in #RedsForEd T-shirts (SRAZ added the “s” for clarity ) followed a 24-year-old, self-described Socialist and hip hop music (non-accredited) teacher, as they abandoned more than 840,000 students for a week in violation of their contractual agreements. They then demanded — and received from spineless Gov.  Doug Ducey — a 20% pay increase. Still, the part-time teachers (do you get the summer off, numerous half days, and lengthy holiday breaks?) have ample money to fund their unions,* which give $millions to Democrat candidates and left-wing issues.

Talk about getting a bang for our bucks.  Our sons and daughters are being sexualized while taught about gender fluidity and Planned Parenthood is invited into their classrooms to teach them the relevancy of homosexuality and how abortion is a woman’s choice to make with her own body, breezily obliterating the fact that there are actually two heartbeats and frequently differing blood types.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to focus on academics to reach their lofty goal of “Challenging all stakeholders to tap into their highest potential to realize their dreams?” And why are kids now called “stakeholders?” If they learn nothing, these bogus stakes will be the only ones they’ll ever hold. Fillet Mignon will be forever out of reach.

* Follow the Money

AZ Republic’s Trump hatred affects WH SPOX coverage

June 26, 2019

Stephanie Grisham new White House spokesperson has Arizona roots

It took two in-tandem reporters at the Hillary-endorsing Arizona Republic to do a hatchet job on President Trump’s new White House press secretary. Rather than giving kudos to Stephanie Grisham, First Lady Melania Trump’s communications director, who has been tapped for the White House press job, the newspaper goes full force to undercut her.

Previously, Grisham forged an extensive resume interacting with Arizona media during her pre-White House years.

Taking to Twitter, Melania Trump enthusiastically announced Sarah Sanders’ replacement. Sanders announced her intention to leave the post weeks ago.

I am pleased to announce @StephGrisham45 will be the next @PressSec & Comms Director! She has been with us since 2015 – @potus & I can think of no better person to serve the Administration & our country. Excited to have Stephanie working for both sides of the @WhiteHouse. #BeBest

The failing newspaper, known by a variety of unflattering monikers — having earned them all — couldn’t restrain itself, headlining its coverage, “Stephanie Grisham, new White House press secretary, had controversial Arizona career.”

Her “controversial career” included working as spokesperson for the Arizona Attorney General and the GOP majority at the Arizona House of Representatives, following which she was involved with the statewide Trump campaign and after the 2016 election she was part of the transition team. Grisham has been integral to the president’s national appearances and rallies.

Rather than expressing pride that an eminently well qualified woman with local roots, was selected for the top White House press job as a senior administration official, Yvonne Wingett Sanchez and Ronald Hansen, disgracefully earned their keep with snappish coverage. The newspaper even saw fit to provide details on Grisham’s marriage and divorce.

Working directly for President Trump makes this accomplished woman and single mother of two sons a Neanderthal by the local newspaper’s standards.

Anthropological studies, however, indicate Neanderthals had an upright posture. The homeless Arizona Republic, in serious decline due to its lack of substance and dedication to insulting its remaining readers, continues to hemorrhage subscriptions. It is so weak, it is barely able to stand.

Seeing Red AZ enthusiastically congratulates Stephanie Grisham, the nation’s 32nd person and fourth woman to hold the post of presidential press secretary since it was created in 1929.

Google’s political power exposed by Project Veritas

June 25, 2019

Search engine bared as a highly biased, leftist political machine, not an objective source of information

No, James O’Keefe of Project Veritas has not taken a hiatus. The conservative who has uncompromisingly exposed the seamy side of Leftism in America, is back with this stunning exposé of Google, as an executive with the search engine corporate monolith admits it is doing all it can to “prevent” a Trump repeat in 2020.

In a newly released Project Veritas undercover video, Google’s head of the Orwellian sounding ‘Responsible Innovation’ division, Jen Gennai states:

“We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’re rapidly been like, what happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again.”

It also includes this statement from Gennai:

“Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better, it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that.”

In an internal Google document reviewed by Project Veritas, the company admitted that it filters content to control an atmosphere that Google believes is undesirable. Google decides what is “fair” as algorithms are programmed, media are filtered, ranked and generated. They also censor what they consider to be “right wing” YouTube videos. Dennis Prager’s very popular Prager U educational series has been restricted.

Still using Google as your search engine? The mega company is working against you, your politics and our President, doing all it can to keep him from being reelected in 2020. Run by California liberals, Google should be recognized as the colossal corporate anti-conservative bully it is.

We have other choices.  Extract yourself from the clutches of Google, which is committed to working against your vote and your efforts on behalf of President Trump’s reelection.

Bing and DuckDuckGo are two reliable alternatives — and they do not track you, collect your data, target you with ads or work against the President of the United States. More options are listed here.

Raw deceit keeps local columnist Montini employed

June 24, 2019

When one lies for a living, telling the truth doesn’t come easy. Being employed when colleagues have been given their walking papers in systematic cutbacks, no doubt presents a conundrum.  It’s good to have a salary, though tough to know former co-workers are facing hardships.  But disgorging odious spew three days a week is what keeps the bills paid. And if you’re E. J. Montini, writing columns for the Arizona Republic newspaper, bile automatically erupts by way of your leftist politics.  Dishonesty? That’s your stock in trade.

You’ve hung on longer by repeating falsehoods and denigrating American patriots who were repeatedly elected to office by Arizona voters.  Revulsion for Republicans oozes from your every pore.

The headline of Montini’s recent column contains the words “Operation Wetback,” relating to a mass deportation of illegal aliens in the 1950’s. The program was put into effect during the Eisenhower administration with the support of the Mexican government, facing a national worker shortage, since a majority of the illegals crossing the border were young men. It was only later when the Mexican government realized the value of reparations, bolstering its economy by over $30 billion each year, that it worked to facilitate the invasion.

The fascinating thing about liars is the ease with which they spin tall tales. Nowhere in the column is Pres. Eisenhower mentioned. Known as “Ike” he was the popular, two-term president who was a five-star general in the U.S. Army during World War II and served as the first supreme commander of NATO. He had previously been president of Columbia University.

Most assuredly not a bigot, in 1957 he ordered federal troops to Little Rock, Arkansas to protect nine black children integrating into a public school — the first time the US federal government ordered troops in the South since the end of the Civil War.

Though Eisenhower was mysteriously absent from Montini’s screed, President Donald Trump was maligned, hammered and battered for desiring to halt the unfettered invasion of our country by illegals. The United States welcomes approximately a million legal immigrants each year with the reasonable expectation of assimilation, which is too few and too restrictive for the ethically challenged E.J.

Also worthy of bashing are former Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce, who sponsored SB 1070 (actual title: “Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act”), and former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose deputies enforced the law, signed by Gov. Jan Brewer in 2010. Major portions of the law were later gutted by a federal court judge.

What do Trump, Pearce and Arpaio have in common? They are all men of unquestioned patriotism, principled courage and a deep commitment to the United States of America.

Those patriotic traits rankle Montini, who robotically tailors his vacuous verbal vomit to fit the newspaper’s agenda — facts be damned. He’s earning his keep.

Trump appointees to SCOTUS having major impact

June 23, 2019

The Daily Caller headlines its post by Kevin Daley, “Kagan Seethes As High Court Conservatives Deliver Property Rights Win.”

It contains less legalese than the SCOTUSblog, but they each cover this significant case and Justice Elena Kagan’s searing rebuke of her conservative colleagues, accusing them of smashing “a hundred-plus years of legal rulings to smithereens.”

The dissent noted Friday’s case was the second time this term that the conservative justices have overturned a controlling precedent, prompting Kagan to ask, forebodingly, which precedent the high court will overrule next.

“Just last month, when the Court overturned another longstanding precedent, Justice [Stephen] Breyer penned a dissent,” Kagan wrote. “He wrote of the dangers of reversing legal course ‘only because five members of a later Court’ decide that an earlier ruling was incorrect. He concluded: ‘Today’s decision can only cause one to wonder which cases the Court will overrule next.’”

“Well, that didn’t take long,” Kagan added. “Now one may wonder yet again.”

Kagan was referencing Breyer’s May dissent in Franchise Tax Board of California v. Hyatt, which asked whether states are immune from lawsuits in the courts of other states. In Hyatt, the five-justice conservative majority overturned a 1979 decision and said the states do indeed have sovereign immunity in the courts of their sister states.

Friday’s property rights dispute arose when a small town in Pennsylvania adopted an ordinance requiring that cemeteries “be kept open and accessible to the general public during daylight hours.” The town told Rose Mary Knick, whose 90-acre property includes a small family cemetery, that she must comply with the rule. Knick sued, saying the ordinance violates the takings clause of the Constitution. The takings clause says the government must compensate property owners for any land seized for public use.

A 1985 Supreme Court case called Williamson County v. Hamilton Bank required Knick to seek compensation at the state level before going to federal court. Indeed, that ruling required Knick and plaintiffs like her to exhaust all possible state compensation remedies before turning to the federal judiciary.

Writing for the majority, Chief Justice John Roberts said the Williamson County decision was wrong and Knick can go to a federal judge right away.

“Williamson County was not just wrong,” the chief wrote. “Its reasoning was exceptionally ill founded and conflicted with much of our takings jurisprudence.”

The Williamson County ruling, Roberts said elsewhere, imposes “an unjustifiable burden on takings plaintiffs, conflicts with the rest of our takings jurisprudence, and must be overruled. A property owner has an actionable Fifth Amendment takings claim when the government takes his property without paying for it.”

The chief justice noted the Court considers several factors when deciding to overrule a prior decision. In that connection, he cited the 2018 Janus v. AFSCME decision, which said government unions cannot force non-members to pay so-called agency fees. The citation to Janus drew a sharp rebuke from Kagan.

“If that is the way the majority means to proceed — relying on one subversion of stare decisis to support another — we may as well not have principles about precedents at all,” Kagan wrote. “Stare decisis” is a Latin legal term meaning “to stand by things decided.” Janus overturned the 1977 Abood v. Detroit Board of Education ruling.

Friday’s case is No. 17-647, Knick v. Township of Scott.

This was the Aug. 5, 2010 senate roll call vote on Elena Kagen’s confirmation.

Why “Gay Pride” parades, fairs & events?

June 22, 2019

Deviancy goes mainstream

The far-left Arizona Republic can’t devote enough space to homosexual or gender-bending entertainers, films, exhibits or activists. The steam powers the failing newspaper in the same manner Robert Fulton used steam technology to power river boats and war ships.

The Republic, previously led by Randy Lovely, acclaimed in the Advocate as the first openly gay chief editor and VP of News in the nation, devoted two pages to what it terms, “an international treasure,” and “a thoughtful cultural critic,” who is appearing for two performances in Phoenix this weekend.  Self identified as “gender fluid,” the entertainer no longer embraces “transvestite.”

The newspaper also gave Page One coverage, including an above-the-fold photo, to an illegal “immigration activist” who is being “honored as a Champion of Pride.” Not only is he illegal himself, but works to bring more illegals into the USA and is celebrated for it and for his homosexuality.

In 1980 the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association dramatically reversed its position that homosexuality is a behavioral disorder after being pressured by the Association of Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists, now known as The Association of LGBTQ Psychiatrists.

if homosexuality is nothing more than the new norm, or an “alternative lifestyle,” what’s to celebrate?  LGBTQ+ has become the accepted acronym to describe every facet of what was medically described as perversion and today is mainstreamed and acculturalizing our children, permeating every aspect of their education and entertainment.

Dating back to 2008, Michelle Malkin showcased the San Francisco Folsom Street festivities that were actual celebrations of deviancy, featuring public sex acts, that resulted in no arrests — due to participants being members of a now not only protected — but celebrated class. She compares the “whitewashing” of the event by the San Francisco Chronicle to the reality to which she links. Malkin warns the readers: Don’t click if you have a weak stomach. The warning is necessary.

These events are now scheduled in cities throughout the United States.

Martha McSally suddenly disdains “creepy old men”

June 21, 2019

…gave McCain a pass

Although former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore strongly denied allegations of inappropriate conduct with young women over 40 years earlier, his 2017 U.S. Senate aspirations crashed and burned.

That was the point. Accusations are all it takes in the wake of the #MeToo era.

Nine women suddenly emerged after Moore, the Republican nominee in the special election was making a strong showing. Moore had repeatedly been elected to Alabama’s high court without any attempt to smear his reputation, but that was a statewide judicial office. The U.S. Senate race had far-reaching consequences, with the potential to upset the balance of power in D.C., making it worthy of pulling out all stops to curtail his campaign.

The oddity came as calls for Moore to suspend his race was led by Democrats and their establishment Republicrat cohorts, in a bizarre display of bipartisan vigor. Imagine Democrats going after one of their own, and recruiting GOP colleagues’ assistance even if they found evidence he was a modern day Jack the Ripper?

AZ Sen. Martha McSally, a nominal Republican, is so agitated by Judge Moore’s recent U.S. Senate campaign she is quoted as saying,

“Give me a break. This place (DC) has enough creepy old men.”

Those were words she never uttered when the Arizona delegation included the foul-mouthed and crude John McCain, who used vulgar language to disparage his own wife and the mother of his children in front of staffers.
