Trump speaks truth, McCain denounces him

McCain: “ISIS is not that strong”

Sounding a lot like his pal Barack Obama who claimed just prior to the deadly Islamic jihadist terror attacks in Paris that “ISIS is contained,” John McCain appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday to lob word bombs at GOP 2016 presidential front-runner Donald Trump. During the interview, McCain actually said, “…ISIS is not that strong…”

McCain, who lost his own 2008 presidential bid, barely carrying his home state of Arizona, was interviewed by host John Dickerson from the U.S. embassy in Baghdad alongside his frequent adviser and traveling companion Lindsey Graham, (R-SC) a less than single digit presidential candidate.

The former GOP presidential nominee who will be 80 by Election Day, and now running for his sixth six-year senate term, accused 2016 Republican hopefuls of “harping on the Syrian refugee crisis,” while, in his opinion,  the U.S. faces much more substantial threats.

“As all of our candidates bloviate about the refugees, [Syrian President] Bashar Assad is a major cause of the refugees which are now flooding Europe and causing such consternation in the United States,” he said. “A no-fly zone will provide a refuge at least for some of these refugees.”

John McCain opined that what he termed Donald Trump’s “’divisive rhetoric’ is only serving to turn the international Muslim community against the U.S.”

Donald Trump wants implementation of a system to keep tabs on the thousands of Syrian refugees Obama is bringing into the U.S. The majority of state governors want a halt to the influx. Despite Obama’s claims they are “subjected to vigorous screening and security checks,” experts say doing so  is virtually impossible. Obama makes this assertion despite the fact that several of the Paris terrorists entered Europe as part of the flood of “refugees” leaving Syria.

Referring to Donald Trump, John McCain said, “Oh, I think it (his stated opinion) has an interesting effect of turning Muslims all over the world against the United States of America, which is 99.44 percent people who practice an honorable religion.”

That remaining .56 percent is sure keeping busy slaughtering vast numbers of innocent people as they shout “Allahu Akbar!” (Allah is greater) and train their children to carry on gruesome beheading traditions. This list includes radical Islamic terrorist attacks in just the past 30 days.

And Barack Obama? Unable to even acknowledge the radical Muslim component of terrorism, he spoke Monday at the COP21 climate change summit in Paris, warning the assembled world leaders not to be distracted from focusing on the threat of global warming which he says is a root cause of the bloody violence. Sticking with his agenda, he blamed America.

Coexist: Bumper sticker mentality’s false message

November 29, 2015

Coexist_bumper_sticker

We’ve all been behind one of the smug “coexist” bumper stickers, roadway evidence of the moral superiority of the left. The indulgent notion of tolerance has actually been hijacked by the non-judgmental laissez-faire crowd, leading to respect for the disreputable, while relegating the concept of judgmentalism to society’s trash heap. Using judgment — as we discern among choices and pick the most honorable — has become taboo. Judging is wrong.  Acceptance of everything is the ideal.

This is a guide to the symbols:

C = Islam

O = Pacifism

E = “Gender equality” (the LGBT agenda)

X = Judaism

I = Wicca / Pagan

S =Taoism / Confucianism / Buddhism

T = Christianity

Interestingly, those who disdain exercising judgment are often associated with the burgeoning zero-tolerance movement now infecting our schools and work places. Six-year-old first graders are suspended for using their finger to emulate a gun. Hate crimes have been enshrined in law, making some a more protected victim class than others by adding enhanced penalties to those who offend or harm them — preposterously based on their ethnic, religious or gender status.

Back to the bumper sticker which oddly appears to be enjoying a resurgence. The question remains, how do you coexist with those who have sworn to dominate, subjugate and destroy you and the freedoms you enjoy? Evidence of the violence of totalitarian Islam’s gruesome blood lust has dominated the news as extremists have beheaded, burned alive and mowed down innocents.

Michele Hickford, editor-in-chief for Col. Allen West’s Steadfast and Loyal blog, wrote about the naive thinking behind the bumper sticker in this post, “Tragic irony: Coexist artist beaten by Muslim gang in Paris.”  It’s worth your time.

Dr. Kelli Ward & Prof. David Brat: Upsets can happen

November 28, 2015

Bucking the establishment: The new political reality

U.S. Rep. David Brat was never supposed to be serving in Congress. But he is. In what appeared an unlikely Goliath vs. David race, the conservative college economics professor took on the disconnected and arrogant RINO House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. Yet despite Cantor’s 26-to-1 cash advantage, as Politico reports, Brat beat him in a historic GOP primary upset. Brat’s decisive intra-party victory over Cantor made him the first primary challenger to oust a sitting House Majority Leader since the position’s creation in 1899.

Here in Arizona, conservatives are sensing a similar scenario. Dr. Kelli Ward, an emergency room physician and two term state senator, is gaining steam in the 2016 U.S. Senate race.

Ward is the newly announced recipient of this enthusiastic endorsement from the Conservative Campaign Committee (CCC). Breitbart reports the group sent out an email urging PAC supporters to back Ward, a Lake Havasu City conservative, against John McCain.

Breitbart cites the list of grievances against the liberal McCain, and notes Sen. Ward’s first quarter fundraising, an achievement it states “that at least in recent history has only been outdone by Sen. Ted Cruz.

“The momentum is building for Conservative Republican Kelli Ward and with your help we can win this race! The most recent Gravis Marketing Survey shows Kelli Ward leading John McCain among Republican voters by a 9-point margin, 45% – 36%,” reads a portion of the CCC PAC message.

 As a practicing physician, Dr. Ward understands the negative impact of Obamacare on America’s citizens and outlines a plan to repeal the costly and care-rationing monstrosity.  Remember Democrat Nancy Pelosi told us, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what’s in it — away from the fog of the controversy.”

As our Friday post we ran “McLosers featured at Mesa campaign rally,“ referencing the extreme measures Team McCain is taking in an effort to fill the house at his upcoming campaign event. They have resorted to announcing the “surprise special guest” — Mitt Romney — two weeks in advance of the actual program.

Visit the comment section to see two brief but stellar videos posted by SRAZ readers that flawlessly exemplify John McCain. SRAZ has an entire section “McStench” dedicated to Arizona’s pro-amnesty senior senator, who will be 80 by Election Day and is running for another 6-year term. He says he still has more to do.

After more than three decades of his colluding with the left, Arizona ‘s citizens who desire a truthful senator, not a self-proclaimed “maverick,” have already had all they can stomach.

McCain’s “surprise special guest” revealed in early desperation move

No doubt the suspense has been unbearable for recipients of John McCain’s emails. They’ve been teased and had their curiosity piqued with notices about a “surprise special guest” coming to Mesa, Dec. 12, to give the recycled candidate, who will be 80 by election day, a boost for another 6-year term.

Who could such a person be? Maybe Sarah Palin, McCain’s former running mate who was savaged by his 2008 campaign operatives as he fell in the polls. It’s safe to say no Republican with a viable current campaign would want the taint that accompanies the toxic, censured senator, who spitefully retaliated against conservatives by teaming up with Obama donors to oust them as elected precinct committeemen. In another move against conservatives, McCain also colluded with liberal Democrat Carl Levin in pressuring Obama IRS’s Lois Lerner to target tea party groups for scrutiny in an effort to rein in their political influence.

It’s not a surprise that John McCain is Number Six on Roll Call’s roster of the 10 most vulnerable U.S. senators.

The Mesa venue isn’t filling as quickly as McCain’s handlers had hoped, which is another  embarrassment to his already bruised ego. Prior to the censures, while running for president, he barely carried the state of Arizona against Obama, with only a slim 8.5 percent margin.

Since the event momentum stalled, coming nowhere near the Phoenix overflow capacity crowds generated by the appearances of Donald Trump or Ben Carson, the secret guest had to be revealed a couple of weeks early. The email featuring Thanksgiving greetings somberly states that “tickets won’t last, so be sure to tell your friends and family to reserve space today!”

So who is this major draw being brought in to help John McCain? None other than another presidential loser — Mitt Romney.

There is even a plaintive plea, desperately  asking recipients to “share the message with others” and “connect to see which of your Facebook friends are going to join John McCain and Mitt Romney.

If you’re a conservative, the unequivocal answer would be, “Not many!”

Romney might help in bringing in Mesa voters, many of whom are also members of the LDS faith. And though he ultimately lost to Obama, he carried Arizona in 2012 by 10 percent — a better showing than the not-so-favored “favorite son.”  McCain has been in D.C. doing his dirty work (video) over three decades. Seeing Red AZ is supporting Dr. Kelli Ward in the 2016 senate race.  Check out her credentials and issues pages and see why.

2015 Thanksgiving wishes to our readers

The First Thanksgiving by Jennie Augusta Brownscombe

We pause today to reflect on the many blessings we enjoy as citizens of this great land, and wish the abundant bounties of this uniquely American holiday to each and every one of our readers.

Do yourself a favor and read this inspiring Thanksgiving Proclamation issued in 1789 by President George Washington. The first paragraph references God a total of five times:

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to “recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”

Read it in its entirety here. We recommend this inspiring proclamation for reading aloud at your dining table today. It’s a gift your friends and family will long remember.

The AZ Republic actually wants you to buy a paper?

November 25, 2015

After expending a great deal of time and effort begging its increasingly meager reader base to “Go deeper with digital,” the failing local newspaper has done an about face — at least for Thanksgiving. The anorexic daily, skinny and wan, has done its damnedest to veer away from hard copy publications requiring newsprint, ink, delivery drivers and editions hitting driveways — though fewer do these days.

Gannett execs offered generous bonuses to longtime employees just to get them out the door and lower their overhead, replacing them with ASU students, who have no idea what actual journalism is and not even a passing familiarity with the First Amendment. Editors are gone, so the news reports are filled with teen colloquialisms and Snoopy-like, “It was a dark and stormy night” approaches. Pertinent details are missing and, let’s face it, the once towering beacon of reliable standards now does little more than dole out leftist, agendized spew with a hefty side of food news, sports and entertainment, aimed at a nearly nonexistent audience. The internet has replaced stale hard copy with fresh up-to-the minute reports.

For the holiday, however, the aptly nicknamed Arizona Repugnant promises “Another Thanksgiving Tradition: The Giant Newspaper!”  A screaming headline blares, “It’s almost time for our BIGGEST paper of the year including inspiring stories, your holiday gift guide, things to do for the long weekend, last minute turkey tips and the GIANT crossword puzzle. Plus, all the details on the weekend’s sports scene and up to 100 inserts full of deals.”

You can, if so inclined, pick up this gargantuan bunch of dead tree pulp “as an early bird copy at your favorite store,” they advise. “Or, if you subscribe, we’ll bring it to you Thanksgiving morning.”

That sounds like more of a threat than a promise.

Obama’s bizarre miscues display leadership ineptness

November 25, 2015

French President Francois Hollande came to Washington to meet with Barack Obama Tuesday, following the synchronized acts of Islamic extremist terrorism that killed 130 people in Paris Nov. 13.  Hollande met earlier with his British counterparts and is proceeding to Germany, Italy and Russia. Obama, referring to his contemporary casually as “Francois,” pledged to stand with France, though offering no concrete actions the U.S. would take — making it clear it was up to Europe to escalate efforts to combat terrorism, though the ISIS terrorists have vowed imminent attacks (video) on the United States.

Coordination is not in the cards. Obama’s response is to welcome the tens of thousands of Syrian refugees, he now claims are “subjected to vigorous screening and security checks” — something experts say is virtually impossible. He makes this assertion despite the fact that several of the Paris terrorists entered Europe as part of the flood of “refugees” leaving Syria.

Barack Obama and Francois Hollande’s joint news conference held bizarre overtones as Obama, who refers to the jihadist terror group commonly known as ISIS by his preferred acronym of ISIL, also began calling it “Daesh” during the televised meeting. Daesh is an acronym created out of the group’s full Arabic name, “al-Dawla al-Islamiya fi al-Iraq wa al-Sham.”

Obama has been criticized by Democrats as well as Republicans for not further ramping up a military response on the growing Islamic State he has referred to as a “JV Team” and recently claimed was “contained.” (video)

This CBS News poll released Monday confirms that Americans have little confidence in his handling of the threats.

Obama’s talk is cheap. In a line reminiscent of one used by the French to express unity with the United States after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, linguist Obama said in French, “Nous sommes tous Français.” or “We are all French.” It’s a weak attempt at a harmonious gesture that boorishly escaped him in January when 40+ world leaders assembled in Paris to participate in a unity march following the ISIS slaughter of 17 people at the office of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo. This was Obama’s late and cringe-worthy response.

Many Americans will remember it was French President Jacque Chirac who was the first foreign Head of State to arrive at the White House with a personal message of support and condolences after the radical Islamic-inflicted Sept. 11, 2001 carnage that killed nearly 3000 on American soil.

At the time, Obama was busying himself as an Illinois state legislator and restaurant critic, (video) so it might have escaped his notice.

GOP lures AZ Navajos: Dems take state senate hit

November 24, 2015

The newest Republican on the Arizona political scene is state Senator Carlyle Begay, (LD7)  a Democrat who officially switched affiliations and joined the GOP Monday. Begay, a Navajo from Ganado represents a rural district which encompasses Navajo and Hopi reservations. Gov. Doug Ducey welcomed Sen. Begay with this statement.

In announcing his decision, Begay released this powerful explanatory video, “Change Must Happen Now,” in which he states the Republican Party is the party of progress and opportunity. Troubled by the failing education system, high dropout rates, crumbling infrastructure and staggeringly high unemployment rates in Arizona’s tribal communities, Begay says he’s found it is the Republican Party which has been willing to work with him to address these issues of concern.

Shawn Redd, a Republican businessman, is running for  the U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona’s massive First Congressional District. Redd is also a member of the Navajo Nation making him somewhat of an anomaly in his community, where tribal members lean Democrat.

Other announced GOP CD1 candidates include Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, former Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett, AZ House Speaker David Gowan, and rancher/businessman Gary Kiehne.

Unlike on-again, off-again Democrat U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick — elected in 2008, losing in 2010 and reelected in 2012 — now stepping down from the House seat to run for the senate, Shawn Redd doesn’t have to learn to speak the Navajo language. He describes himself as both a conservative traditionalist and a realist who examines the issues and keeps an open mind when developing workable solutions. Shawn Redd’s website can be viewed here.

McCain joins Soros pushing “refugee” invasion

November 23, 2015

George_Soros_John_McCain

As astute citizens collecting facts in advance of the crucial 2016 elections, a filter might seem necessary since there is so much to absorb — some fact, some fancy.  This morning we provide a mega dose of the factual, dating back several years.

In 2008, WND’s Jerome Corsi wrote the informative “John McCain funded by George Soros since 2001,” noting that McCain founded the Alexandria, Va.-based Reform Institute as a vehicle to receive funding from George Soros’ Open Society Institute, Teresa Heinz Kerry’s Tides Foundation and several other prominent ‘non-profit’ organizations. McCain used the institute to promote his political agenda and provide compensation to key campaign operatives between elections.”

Meet the open borders family: McCain, Hernandez, Soros, and the “Reform Institute comes via exhaustive research by Ed Morrissey (going back to 2005) and syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin, both undisputed conservatives. Morrissey can now be read at Hot Air.

Recently, Pamela Geller exposed diabolical billionaire George Soros as integral to the EU plan to aid the Muslim invasion and subsequent destruction of Europe by promoting acceptance at least a million “asylum-seekers” annually. Like McCain, Soros glibly tosses around the words “migrant” and “comprehensive,” as he castigates Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for subordinating the “human rights of asylum-seekers and migrants to the security of borders.”

For thinking Americans and our European allies, secure borders are the decisive choice!

Using gumballs to make his presentation, Roy Beck of NumbersUSA brilliantly illustrates the fact that unbridled immigration will not help the world’s needy. Nearly 3 million have viewed this video. If you’re one of them, watch it again to allow the facts to marinate while you remember that he is not describing Muslims coming from nations that despise our freedoms, have no intent to acclimate and believe in Islamic supremacy and world domination.

Listen closely to John McCain, running for another six-year U.S. Senate term and Lindsey Graham, a single digit candidate for the presidency, explain to Tucker Carlson why the United States needs to increase the numbers of Syrian refugees. Their stiff demeanors and irrational blather appear to be part of a comedy skit, except they’re deadly serious. After the Islamic jihadist bloodbaths recently in Paris and Mali, that’s clearly the problem.

Catastrophic consequences of not closing borders

November 22, 2015

This Sunday before Thanksgiving, we are thankful for the wisdom of Dr. Thomas Sowell.

Today we invite you to take a few minutes to read his latest column titled, “Stop the Bleeding.”  As only he can, Dr. Sowell weaves a connective thread between the recent horrific acts of terrorism and the absolute need for nations to close their borders. In fact he goes a step further describing those “pursuing the will-o’-the-wisp called “comprehensive” immigration reform.”

Arizonans, living in a border state abutting Mexico, have more than a passing knowledge of that charade and its persistent perpetrators. John McCain paired on this issue with his then-senate colleague Jon Kyl. They were thwarted by outraged Americans who flooded senate phone and fax lines, causing a D.C. switchboard communications meltdown.

After Kyl’s retirement, Jeff Flake, who won by the slimmest of margins, was all too happy to jump on-board the amnesty express, uniting with McCain, Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham as the RINO contingent of the Gang of Eight. They were joined by liberal cohorts Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, Robert Menendez, and Michael Bennet. This effort also failed, but it will resurrect again.

Don’t believe the deceit that our immigration system is broken. The only thing that is broken is the will to effectively enforce it.

Today this Reuters news report is headlined, “Authorities missed many ‘red flags’ before Paris shootings.”

Please watch this shocking video* and ask yourself how that could be. It turns out there have been ample warnings throughout Western Europe. This is without a doubt one of the most disturbing videos you will ever see. Be sure to pass it on. Knowledge is power.
