Want to help J.D. Hayworth? Here’s your chance

Fellow Citizen:

You have contacted me with words of encouragement following the release of a Rasmussen Reports Poll which finds me in a statistical dead heat with John McCain for the Republican nomination for the United States Senate in 2010.

Miss Mary, our children, and I will do a lot of praying and a lot of talking in the days ahead, as we determine the best course of action to take for our nation and for our family.

You have also asked what you can do in the days ahead.

There is something you can do right now…you will find attached an invitation to an event scheduled for Dec. 5, featuring Joe Arpaio, “America’s Toughest Sheriff.” “Sheriff Joe” has very graciously agreed to raise funds for the “Freedom In Truth Trust.” The FIT Trust is the fund that was established to help us satisfy legal debts incurred during the 2006 campaign. You can read more about it at http://www.jdhayworth.com/fit-trust.html

You may not live in Arizona…but no matter where you call home, would you respond to the attached invitation and please send a contribution to the FIT Trust?

That would certainly be a factor in the decision we will make at the “Hayworth Hacienda!”

Please feel free to share this e-mail and the attached invitation with others.

In closing, let me stress again that I have made no formal decision regarding a campaign for the U.S. Senate, but if your kind words are followed by tangible support of the upcoming event on Dec. 5, that would serve as another encouraging sign—even eclipsing the recent poll results!

Thank you for your support, and may God bless you and yours.

Sincerely,

J.D. Hayworth

Member of Congress, 1995-2007

The link to the invitation is here. The reply card and contribution form is here.

I pledge to do whatever I can to help this good man beat McAmnesty. I am so sick of John McCain i could scream! It would be wonderful to have an actual republican beat that RINO.

  2. Sgt. Preston says:

I’ll be there! Anything to get McCain back home with his family. He needs a rest and we need one from him.

  3. Doc says:

Well put, Sgt.! Senator McCain needs to realize that he’s due for some quality Family Time. No, really.

  4. Doc says:

So, I unfortunately can’t afford to spend the money required to attend. But, I’m printing out the response for that purpose, & sending what I can to help this most valuable & worthy cause.

Apologies for the back-2-back posting…I just want everybody to know that it’s important to do this even if you can’t afford to go. J.D. won’t forget us, gang!

  5. Economist says:

I’d vote for JD in a second but am disheartened. My neighbor, an employee at KFYI, assures me JD is 100% sure he is not running. I would be very disappointed if he is using this as a ploy to pay off legal bills.

  6. Kate says:

A ploy? Frankly, I’m sending a donation as a THANK YOU for what J.D. HAS ALREADY DONE, exposing McCain for the RINO he is, and helping us stop the McCain-Kennedy shamnesty back in 2007. I don’t need J.D. to do anything else to earn my loyalty. He has it for a lifetime!

  7. Jim Osborn says:

Regardless of what Economist’s neighbor’s aunt’s cousin once removed says, I think J.D. Hayworth WILL run. If for some reason he decides not to, I’m with Kate, and think he’s done a fine job for us when he served in Congress. He was exonerated of all of the bogus charges, but there are still legal bills to be paid. Harry Mitchell should be made to pay the bills!

  8. nightcrawler says:

Kate has the right idea. It is like going to Vegas with the understanding that you may lose a certain amount of money and treating it as an entertainment expense. If he decides to run it is a bonus. That is the mindset those who donate should have.

I have said this several times, I personally would like to see JD stay right where he is. A sultry siren is beckoning him to the rocks with sweet whispers of redemption and a populist throne. And what of Simcox ? His dingy has already capsized in the wake of such speculation.

  9. Charlie Conservative says:

My worst nightmare is having to hear and see McCain for 6 more years. God, let it not be. And Barry Young can stick his suck-up act to John McCain where the sun don’t shine. And JD, please deliver that message to Barry for us all. Personally. I change stations when he does his suck-up routine with McCain or Kyl. I will never forget nor forgive their AMNESTY plan to destroy the Republican Party and cede the United States to Mexico.

  10. Villanova says:

    Doc:
Don’t let the suggested amount on the invitation dissuade you. Go, show your support and give what you can to help this good man defeat John McCain. I sincerely doubt anyone will refuse your honest contribution, least of all J.D. Hayworth. He has a family, bills to pay and is living through this difficult economy also.

  12. ALEX H says:

President Palin will need the support of a truly conservative congress to undue the damage inflicted by the loony-left d-crat socialists and JD will be much better help than AMNESTY-JOHN.

It’s just too bad that AMNESTY-JOHN wasn’t retired in the last senatorial election; that might have prevented the loony-left take-over of our country.

  13. Spirit of 1776 says:

JD should run for Governor. Charity begins at home.

    Good going!!!

  15. Chicka Boom says:

Funny how all of the McCainiacs want JD to either stay with his radio program (where he’s doing “such a great job, reaching a wide audience”) or run for governor. They are all worried sick about the spectacle of a flattened McCain, and well they should be. McCain has long ago outworn his welcome within the Arizona Republican party. I couldn’t vote for Obama, but I did not vote for McCain. I figured if he needed my vote to win in his home state, he was in bad shape. As it was, he barely squeaked by.
We’re on to you, “Spirit.” Is your real name Cindy?

  16. Night Owl says:

I found this link to this column on JD on POLITICO, November 24. It was filed under Remainders:The Job, “Sheriff Joe fundraises for a potential McCain primary challenger”:

Glad to see this site is getting national attention! I noticed the Huffington Post also gave you a link. Good job, guys!

  17. AR-15 says:

Mcshame is a corrupt politician…flush this old RINO.

“I have to tell you, [Obama] is a decent person, a person that you
do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States.”

no problems with it, in their views and their philosophy.”

  18. Diogidog says:

JD is primed and ready for a fight!

He had legal bills in excess of a half a million dollars after the feds finished with their bogus complaints.

We cannot let our voices in Arizona continue to be silenced by McCain and Kyl’s iitiful representation.

(If they took a poll on KYL they would find him very vulnerable, too!)

It’s time to retire JD’s debt and retire the old sham guard.

McCain and Kyl, their staff, and their supporters loathe Arizona conservatives.

Go to http://www.FEC.gov and see how many of them DO NOT contribute a dime to the Republican Party.

McCain, Kyl et al are an elite, snobby, ass kissing, phoney baloney bunch.

It is time for a final purge in the Arizona Republican Party. We need to get rid of all of them.

  19. Doc says:

Villanova-By GOD, you’re right! I’m riding down on the 5th to deliver what donation I can, personally! Thank You so much for the encouraging words!

Charlie Conservative…I agree! JD’s done enuff as it is. So, I’ll make my donation anyway. He’s not made any promises that he hasn’t kept…unlike the resident rinos.

  20. Hometown Guy says:

Doc: Glad to hear of your change of heart. Those are only suggested amounts and JD needs whatever support he can get. I’m also attending! It will make me proud to be there with this good man, and perhaps meet you, Doc. I often read your comments and agree with your conservative stance.
The bottom line is, John McCain is exceedlingly vulnerable and J.D. Hayworth CAN take that senate seat. The powers that be will pull out all stops to keep McCain in the senate’s elite club. They will pound hard on JD and raise tons of cash for McCain. But we can volunteer and make this the true grassroots effort that has brought us onboard. The old boys network can be overcome, but WE need to show the determination to accomplish it. We can’t afford six more years of McLiberal.

  22. BBKamm says:

Isn’t there an online site where this contribution can be made? Printing out a form and mailing it in with a check is really archaic and will DETER people from following through…. I can’t even figure out where to mail in the contribution. Can someone post that info?

I, too, want to thank Hayworth AND Arpaio for standing up for the right values!
