GOP amnesty ‘standards’ based on fallacies, unenforceable provisions

GOP Congress conspires to sell out America

Congressional Republicans emerged from their secretive Maryland policy retreat on Thursday to reveal their list ofstandards*— previously palmed off as “principles” — for a de facto amnesty scheme masquerading as ‘enforcement first.’

The bottom line is the get-tough language regarding illegal aliens meeting certain standards and requirements is unenforceable, inviting even more fraud from our invaders. They begin by telling Americans who know better that “our nation’s immigration system is broken and our laws are not being enforced.” The truth is there is no will to enforce the law since business interests are enamored with low wage, foreign laborers. American voters can’t compete with the deep-pocketed lobbyists for the Chambers of Commerce who have the ability to persuade office holders in ways none of the rest of us do.

The document asserts “There will be no special path to citizenship for individuals who broke our nation’s immigration laws.” Addressing the injustice to legally applying immigrants it says, “that would be unfair to those immigrants who have played by the rules and harmful to promoting the rule of law.” The sham document patently neglects the fact that all illegals “broke our nation’s immigration laws.”

Then it rolls out the red carpet with these devious words, “Rather, these persons could live legally and without fear in the U.S., but only if they were willing to admit their culpability, pass rigorous background checks, pay significant fines and back taxes, develop proficiency in English and American civics, and be able to support themselves and their families (without access to public benefits). Criminal aliens, gang members, and sex offenders and those who do not meet the above requirements will not be eligible for this program.”

How these provisions would be verified or enforced is never explicitly addressed because there is no actual means to do so. These words are nothing short of massive fraud being perpetrated on the American people by those whom we put in cushy D.C. offices to represent us. Instead they are representing the interests of foreign nationals.

Saying there will be no “special” path to citizenship, they never rule out eventual citizenship, since in the end, that’s what this pretense is all about. It actually mirrors the Senate plan in that regard.

House Republicans also gift U.S. citizenship to the demanding, so-called DREAMers, those who profess they were brought here as children, another claim that is unverifiable, since applicants for this scam on America can be up to 35 years old.  They have to “meet certain eligibility standards, and serve honorably in our military or attain a college degree.” Authenticating such claims or when they actually arrived, is an impossibility.

Then come the toothless but fierce sounding warnings and threats regarding massive increases in border security and enforcement and, whoa…..the harsh admonishment of “a zero tolerance policy” for those who enter the country illegally or overstay a visa. Hear that noise? That’s the sound of illegals and their chain migration relatives quaking in their boots.

The GOP tricksters also call for a “federal employment verification system” as part of the standards, an “entry-exit visa tracking system” and an increase in the number of high-skilled workers allowed in the United States. Never mind the high-skilled American workers who remain or under-or-unemployed in this still struggling economy— some working more than one menial job to stay afloat.

Aware that their constituents are furious that the “no amnesty” pledge they campaigned on is sliceable baloney, GOP House shamen have opted to pull a magical sleight of hand, passing amnesty bills in a “piecemeal” fashion using the old magician’s maneuver of misdirection.

They will tell us our immigration system is broken. It is not.  What is broken is our trust.

EXCELLENT POST, SRAZ! I just have 2 hyphenated words to say:

    RE-ELECT NO-ONE.

    • AZ Conservative Guy says:

Agree on the on-point post and the concept of booting them ALL out, Doc. We’ve been had. There’s really no difference between any of them anymore. Our RINO congressmen are best described as REPUBLICRATS! (emphasis on the RATS).

    • American Patriot says:

State Delegate, PC No Longer, Doc, Chad and the rest of the RINO weary.
Believe me, I understand your frustrations and intentions to take a hike from the sad excuse that calls itself the Republican Party. I’m with you all in your despair…except that I won’t turn waving the white flag of surrender. Why? It sure isn’t my love for the GOP power players representing Arizona in the US House and Senate. I am sick to death of them all. But I love my family more than I am sickened by their two-faced double talk and betrayal of our values and country. I was cheered by the statewide district censures of John McCain and I hooted with joy when I cast my vote against him at the Maricopa County and state GOP meetings. When those resolutions easily passed I knew all was not lost. We have to be heartened by these steps in the right direction, stay involved and work to get rid of the traitors who say one thing to get elected and vote another way to say in power. Our Founders did not turn tail and run. Our military, defending all we stand for, fight the good fight each day under harsh conditions most Americans can‘t imagine.

What are we if we give into our disappointments and stop our conservative activism, letting the radicals take over the United States of America? How will we look our children in the eye and tell them we love them when we are abandoning principles and turning them over to a far left regime?

We have no choice but to stay and fight. It really does matter. Reconsider. You (We) are needed. Now, more than ever.

  2. Delilah says:

They are all illegal law breakers, deport them all. Work VISA’s after we have full employment and never citizenship.

  3. PC No Longer says:

What nation that has endured has rewarded its own invaders? Not a single one!
We are screwed, and by the very people we worked to elect. No more for me. They have acted no different than the Democrats, so why work on their behalf? Count us out. My wife and I have resigned as PCs.

  4. ZOO says:

It would seem logical that a possible way to stop the Republican House leadership from selling the party and America down the river is to subject them to McCain-style censures – and immediately.

Arizona’s heroic Republican PCs and state committeemen that censured McCain broke the stereotype that the party is a lost cause. They did the unspeakable – condemning a sitting Republican in an election year and actually listening to the voters they represent. But did this censure resonate with McCain’s out-of-state peers?

What are the odds that the House leadership will or could be subjected to the same treatment by their respective home states? Environment is everything. Most of the criticism and condemnation that Arizona has received over its war to curb illegal immigration has come from individuals who reside in states virtually unaffected by the invasion from Mexico, and whose voters can’t even spell illegal immigration. It is a simple task to identify those states by referencing U.S. Census demographic statistics.

Let’s compare the U.S. House leadership and the states they represent:

John Boehner – House Speaker – Ohio – 3.3% Hispanic
Eric Cantor – House Majority Leader – Virginia – 8.4% Hispanic
Paul Ryan – Chairman Budget Comm. – Wisconsin – 6.2% Hispanic
Kevin McCarthy – Majority Whip – California – 39% Hispanic

McCarthy is the sole exception to the ‘rule of demographics.’ In about 30 days, Hispanics will be the dominant demographic in California. The Republican party in California is dead on arrival – permanently. The California state legislature is run by a Democratic supermajority consisting of a 28 to 12 in the state senate, and 55 to 25 in the assembly (house). One of the most stalwart Republicans in the U.S. House for immigration enforcement was Darrell Issa (R-CA), who in October – seeing the handwriting on the wall – introduced his own version of amnesty.

Is it any wonder that regional patches of real estate in the U.S. want to break off and become a sovereign state of their own? But with the federal government legislative body collapsing on the rule of law, U.S. sovereignty, expansion of socialism, and teetering on the edge of financial collapse, should those folks be musing the concept of a sovereign state, or a sovereign country?

  5. LD 23 PC says:

SRAZ, I offer a headline suggestion: “USA surrenders to Mexico”
Each and every GOP AZ Congressman has lied through his teeth on this issue. I agree with Doc. Reelect no one!

  6. Ellsworth says:

Hail and a hearty welcome to our 30 million new citizens! Also a big “thank you” to the US Republican “representatives” who have joined with the democrats in giving them the American citizenship they so obviously value:

    • State Delegate says:

I called each of the AZ GOP US Reps. this week and made my positions against amnesty extremely clear. I also made a point of asking each of the people I spoke with if they were getting many calls. Each of them candidly said they were receiving many such calls.

Today there was no response after what came out of yesterday’s meeting to give amnesty to foreign criminals. All of these bogus representatives shut down. Not a single press release on any of their sites saying ANYTHING pro or con on this flagrant action. Believe me, I looked!

Matt Salmon’s “issues” pages are remarkably absent any mention of illegal immigration. There are no news releases on the subject.

David Schweikert has the usual double talk about securing the border and ending illegal immigration. Would that be by making it all legal? He doesn’t say. Again an absence of press releases or news on the yesterday’s farce.

Paul Gosar regurgitates the “broken immigration system” and need to “secure our borders” drivel. Nothing even remotely resembling “Immigration” on his issues pages. No press release.

Trent Franks assures us he “remains committed to supporting immigration reform legislation that places border security — and national security — first and foremost. However, we must also realize that we are both a nation of immigrants and a nation formed on the rule of law. America has a great tradition of welcoming immigrants of all ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds.” Who doesn’t get his BS point? yada, yada, yada. No press release on this citizenship giveaway.

I have no reason to trust any of them. I’m bailing. When Republicans, some of whom I helped elect, collude with the liberal Democrats on giving away our country and embracing those who hold our laws and national sovereignty in complete disregard, I realize this is no longer my Constitutionally based Republican party.

      • Doc says:

State Delegate-So, in light of YAVGOP’s inaction on mcTraitor’s censure, & the ridicule spoken by my state ?senator? Steve Pierce, I too am resigning. BUT…@! th’ end of the elections in November. Until then, I plan to be a GOATHEAD in their feet! Just something to consider…

  7. LEO IN TSN says:

Ahhhh, yes, wonderful, all warm & fuzzy. But I missed the part about putting American workers back to work when the first 30-40 million illegals are “legalized.” And I missed the part about when most of the first 30-40 million illegals can’t find work and have to go on unemployment. Won’t that force taxes to go up – taxes on Americans who no longer have jobs?

And I missed the part about when the first 30-40 million illegals aren’t making much money, and have to go on welfare, food stamps, 0bamaocare, free schools, free ceill phones, free disability for the sick ones, free gov’t lawyers to defend them when they break the other criminal laws.

Gosh, I missed the part about the millions more gov’t employees who will have to be hired to take care of the first 30-40 million illegals, and all who will follow, to process them and guide them and counsel them and watch over them.

Where will the money come from? I missed the “standards” for that. But I do recall that back in 2008, in salivating anticipation of the revolution, the dimocrat Congress was laying plans to nationalize all private pensions, retirement accounts, financial & savings accounts, so as to roll them into social security & medicare and pay for the grand evolution. Access to you accounts has already been legislated to IRS & HHS.

    I just don’t think the AZ4 will be paying their fair share, and it will therefore fall to the “workers” (the Marx-Lenin-Hitler-Mao term, not mine);

    God bless America.

  8. Chad Palmer says:

This is why is did not seek reelection to 3rd Vice Chairman of AZGOP, the Republican National Party of my youth is now more liberal than the democrats of the same era. I am no longer a PC, state committeeman or officer for the GOP.

I will vote independently for the person or persons after vetting their past voting records or from who and where their money comes and goes on a annual basis.

We shall not fail our Beloved Country, we did not deny the oath after being honorable discharged from our military service to defend our God Given Rights against all threats, foreign and domestic.

  9. LEO IN TSN says:

I too am frustrated, bewildered and weary. But remember, the goal of the elitists is to drive conservatives out of the GOP and to “transform” the Party to the new vision of the Left. Of course (or maybe of curse) they are in the public eye, getting all the play, and the real GOP has to hide in the shadows. But when I hear the conservative voices raised as they were in the State meeting, when I hear the McConnells and the Boehners fighting for their political survival in their home districts, when I speak with other concerned PC’s, I know the fight is not over.

I would urge that no one wave the white flag of surrender and run away. Abandoning the GOP now concedes them our subservience. Stay and fight, and use every means available (SRA, AZ Daily Independent and all conservative blogs, LD meetings, emails and conversations) to make our voices heard and keep our countenance visible.

Perhaps it is time to write up a standing resolution of censure, leaving the name blank, and post it for the AZ4, the AZ McGOP, the Pima County and other McGOP boards, and the McSquishes in the state legislature, Governor’s office, School Superintendent’s office, and etc. Support the conservative challengers and incumbents in their primaries, with your time and money as well as your rhetoric. Stay and fight. Fight the McRINOS. Every battle won changes the war. We’re talking about our future, the future of our kids and grandkids in this great country, and ultimately the future of the free world.

    God bless America.

  10. Doc says:

Reason # 2 LEO why I’m stickin’ ’till th’ Nov election…but I AM THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED with YAVGOP in particular over their inaction regarding mcTraitor’s censure, as well as mcFlakes as well. He’s JUST AS GUILTY!! As for th’ AZ4…SSDD…know what I mean? I’m not usually a quitter. But I REALLY feel like I’m beatin’ my head against a brick wall with these people! I clearly see your point, & I’ve been “fightin’ th’ good fight” with my party, but my heads startin’ ta’ HURT!!!

All that said, I am gonna’ be TH’ GOATHEAD THEY STEP ON for th’ rest of this term. If I get ANYWHERE, I’ll stick. I just don’t believe I will. Why? Because ya’ can’t teach liberals anything. You can confuse ’em with logic & facts, but they still don’t change their minds. I’ve had 1 (ONE) truly successful flip. A Physician’s Assistant that I work with, who voted for obama…TWICE…got into a discussion with me about several issues over “her” candidate. 45 minutes later…I had her lookin’ into how to change her party affiliation! That was VERY Satisfying, but frustrating also. Because this is a VERY EDUCATED individual…yet I had to take her by th’ hand & lead her down th’ path of common sense…

  11. Kent says:

More scamming, flim-flam from House Republicans. This morning (Sun. Jan 2) on “Face the Nation,” Rep. Eric Cantor, said the Republicans want to make progress on immigration, “step by step.”

More garbage from from the GOP incrementalists. “Step, by step?” “Piecemeal?” We are still getting the same crap rammed down our throats…little by little.

    Re-elect no one!!
