75th D-Day Anniversary: A crucial history lesson

Why the world can thank American exceptionalism for successful D-Day,” by Bob McManus, presents a riveting overview of the lead up to the June 6, 1944 Normandy invasion and what transpired in its wake.

Unfortunately, it’s a good bet today’s students aren’t being taught this essential history. Climate change and recycling have replaced American exceptionalism which leftist historical and moral revisionists now view as unacceptable braggadocio for a “flawed country.”

Teach your children or grandchildren what makes America special, the shining city on the hill,” as idyllically described by President Ronald Reagan in his farewell speech to the nation. Acquaint them with how our U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights set us apart. They won’t learn it otherwise.

1944? What happened in 1944? When I studied American History they made us spend so much time on the Civil War and why we owed reparations for slavery that we never got past 1876.

Questions to ponder: Why did the British Royal Family invite
Angela Merkel to be front and center at the ceremony in Portsmouth yesterday? It was slated as “representatives from Allied Nations”.

And yet there was no representative from Russia, which was an ally during WWII.

And why was John Kerry there at the services in France today?
He knows nothing about being a hero, as we know from Vietnam.
He had to break away with his never-ending meetings with the Iranians to go to Normandy.

Please pray for the West Point cadets who have been involved in a horrific tragedy today in NY State. One cadet confirmed dead, many injured when a military vehicle overturned in a heavily wooded area during a training exercise. The vehicle was driven by two soldiers from Fort Benning, GA.
    Thanks.

    Much is happening. . . .

The concept of American exceptionalism has been tossed on the trash heap by the Demoncrats and the liberals who pass themselves off as “educators” in the public school system and the “enlightened elites” screwing with the heads of college students in universities across this country. We need to rise up against this assault on our nation and the brainwashing of of next generation..

    • Patriot Dad says:

Alumni who think it’s incumbent upon them to fund their now radicalized alma maters need to pull their support, and in no uncertain terms, tell the universities why.

The term alma mater is Latin meaning “nourishing or bountiful mother.” Outside of Hillsdale College and a few others, there aren’t many that fit that description…unless your mother was a vengeful beast who hated everything you stood for.
