A stroll down Memory Lane with John McCain

McCain memory jogger

Yesterday‘s post “McCain fails in defending amnesty scheme to angry AZ citizens,” details the hostile reception Arizona’s senior senator is receiving at the various Town Hall meetings where he struggles to sell his latest amnesty scheme to irate Arizona citizens. If they don’t buy, he hurls insults, dismissively calling them “jerks.”

Doing background for the article led to finding this gem from the 2010 senate race. It was purposely omitted since such a stand alone classic is deserving of its own day in the sun.

McCain’s own words are jarring in their outright deception  — all the more evident as he attempts to perpetrate the same old scam as the Gangster-in-Chief of a monstrosity known as “The Gang of  8,” his latest amnesty coalition.

McCain and his senate underling Jeff McFlake have cobbled together a motley crew of Democrat liberals and GOP squishes to perpetrate this expansive giveaway of the gift of American citizenship to those who thumb their noses at our laws and national sovereignty.

This campaign website is enough to make wistful conservatives long for an election do-over, minus Señor Juan’s infusion of McMillions.

I didn’t get to ask Sen. McCain a question yesterday however had this one written out to as not to forget anything and as most know I hardly ever write anything I say down.
Sen. McCain; I was robbed 3 times by handguns in Ca. twice by illegals in the 60’s and they were never caught for that, now I live in AZ and would be able to protect myself Thanks to Our Gun Laws so protect them. I also know that Article 1 Sect. 8 Clause 15 States; Congress has the Power to provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrection and Repel Invasions; I believe sir that Invasions start at Our Borders and this happens to US by the minute, just ask those who live there and the gentleman in Sun Lakes was right and you Sir owe him an apology for calling Him a jerk one and giving out the wrong information to those attending and those who’ve seen or heard this on the Air and now believe it because you Sir are a Senator and they believe you know the US Costitution, please remember you represent all of US and that includes the Gentleman in Sun Lakes. God Bless You Sir ; Van

    • PAL says:

Good points, but maybe you should use a spell checker. Your “costitution” should be Constitution, and many of your words are capitalized incorrectly which really dimishes your impact.

      • Van says:

Sorry just typed in and posted without looking, please overlook the error and thanks for the support. God Bless You; Van

    • Sally Forth says:

Do you think you “didn’t get to” ask McCain a question, or that you were recognized as a candidate who ran against his chosen Kyl replacement and not called on for that reason? If you ever get close enough to speak to him, which I doubt, why not tighten up your question, and definitely ditch all of the subservient “sirs?” We pay his salary. HE should be addressing US as sir and ma’am.

      • Teller Of Truth says:

Tea Party people are talkers who go to a lot of meetings. Though many are doers, few are donors. Unfortunately you were not the candidate to win a senate seat in any event. Both you and Bryan Hackbarth are dreamers who did nothing more than siphon votes. Winning a US Senate seat is not a cakewalk for well funded and experienced candidates. You two were neither. Hackbarth was quoting noted Nobel Laureate Eliezer “Elie” Wiesel recently and actually referred to him as a female.

      • Van says:

I understand about the sir issue however more for the people there as I’ve noticed with some when you’re courteous to any elected official it’s difficult for them to be rude as well as those in attendance, and trust me on this one as I was on the road for a year and believe I pointed out to him he works for the man he’d called a jerk and needs to apologize to him and hope this helps you understand me, as for why I wasn’t called on not sure he knows me, however he declined to come on my show in 2010 as well after several attempts. There are people who know me by sight as I’ve gotten use to over the yrs. or voice but can’t say for certain but possible as we did have TV on three separate stations unfortunately never a major network, oh well I lament. God Bless You; Van

  2. Westnash says:

A good candidate can beat McCain but a tainted on that has a ceiling on his/her support, or multiple candidates cannot. Unfortunately as Arizona continues to go Democratic, you are going to have a Napolitano, Gabby, or Gabby Hubby taking on McCain and with enough tears and Obama talk winning.

    • eubykdisop says:

Yes, Westnash, this is about the 100th time we have heard this from you. So, let me respond in kind and quote your Liberal positions for the 100th time:

I would propose an immediate 10% cut in all military expenditures including salaries. All of us can get by on 9 out of 10…..the govt. can as well…it is nothing but would make a huge dent in the problem.”

There will be some changes in gun regulations at some point in 2013 and the Republicans who only tow the NRA line of “no” will lose. Wouldn’t you rather outsmart your opponent than trying unsuccessfully in throwing up a wall, that is crumbling down around you.”

      “Westnash says:

Obviously, Euby, it is easy for you to blame Marxism, but impossible to offer a solution for the Arizona Republicans. Hopefully there is someone in the party smarter than you.”

What I worry that the Secure Our Borders bunch really wants is to spend Billions more in hiring and fences which do nothing but increase the size of Govt.”

      • Westnash says:

Euby, it isn’t necessary for you to give any support to my posts. I stand by them all. Why not stick to the thread.

      • Brandy Baron says:

Great summary, euby of why few of us pay any attention to anything Westnash has to say.

      • eubykdisop says:

Thank you kindly, Miss Brandy! :-)

Westnash: I know you stand by all of your posts. That’s what makes you a radical, left wing Liberal, LOL!

    • Van says:

If the People who say they want a Real Constitutional Conservative won’t $upport them with more than Words we’ll continue to lose, it’s the Progressive GOP/Independents and uninformed Voters who continue to put these people in office and without the $$$ to get to the ill informed Voters due to lack of $upport this type will never lose, and by the way talk about Tainted McCain is Stained,Cracked and more but has the $$$ to buy his way in. God Bless You; Van

      • Delilah says:

But Van you endorsed Doug Little for Party chair, did you not? Doug called us all extremist for our views. It takes more than money, you need support, you had none except for the extremeist, oh that is why you endorsed Mr. little. Doug also said, BHO’s 23 executive orders were not that bad. Again you endorsed him, did you not?

      • Van says:

Yes I did and would again, if you think I’m an extremist then you’ll never understand and anything I say won’t help and if you ask him exactly what he meant on the Executive order certain you’ll understand the statement in the context in which it was made, and I’ll take all the Extremists in AZ I can get, as now we have two senators who are going to give us amnesty and much much more that the PC’s in Maricopa County voted against at the County meeting but suppose that doesn’t matter as certain the two senators certainly must know best on this one after all one co sponsored the Dream Act the other The Strive Act, but when they ran for office they really supported they’re own Acts of Deception on the Voters. God Bless You; Van

      • Delilah says:

Oh Van, you can excuse that all you want. Is that why we are in the predictment we are in? Self righteous ego driven little wanna be politicians? Yes we need to support the most Cponservative that can win, period. Not Carl Rove conservative, even though if That is who can win, I will support the Moderate over a Democrat. We need to stop this Amnesty, does anybody think Kristin Cinema is going to vote no on Amnesty?

There are very few Tea Party House members elected in 2010 that are still Tea Party Conservative. We still have the best to me who have pretty much voted the way we want, but the Senators are not Conservative at all. Did McCain actually believe he could go to TownHalls and make us support him? If we do not start working together and not let the ego driven divide us we will never get the Senate back, If we let the Deakin’s and the Van’s run for office knowing they can not win, we deserve what we get. Talk them into running for School Board, that is where we need Conservatives, that is how Colorado took over the state, it took them a few years but they started with the small elections, not trying to go for the big Kahuna right out of the box. Throw our support to a JD Hayworth or a Wil Cardin, to stop the McCains and the Flakes, make the dividers stay home.

They say it is who counts the votes, that is true, but when we allow the Independents into our elections we asked for trouble. That is how McCain and Flake get in. Don Goldwater told me a Judge approved that both Parties can close their Primaries, well do it. I guess i am beating a dead horse with that, but I truly believe it, we can not wait any longer. Look at 2012, Let the Independents vote for the worse Democrat who can lose up against a Republican.

  3. Brandy Baron says:

Hard to believe that there were still enough people fooled by this fool to get him re-elected. Some people never take the blinders off. They just swoon over the ‘war hero’.

    • Army Of One says:

      Brandy,
Agreed! It’s mainly the newcomers to the state and the vets who are senior citizens and buy into his self-aggrandizing tales. A lot of people don’t realize what a vicious and power hungry slug he is, and that he’s willing to sell us and our future for a bit of press and a scrap of Democrat praise.

    • westnash says:

And we run poor candidates against him.

      • eubykdisop says:

By “we” you must mean you Democrats, Westnash.

      • Westnash says:

Poor Republican candidates of course or no organized opposition, who could win, pre-primary that would make him realize he cannot win and retire.

      • eubykdisop says:

And you could back a Liberal candidate who supports your Liberal positions, Westnash.

  5. Delilah says:

When someone that is going to lose by leaps and bounds gets in the race only to take votes away from another Conservative that is how we keep electing the McCains. We will never get rid of McCain and McFlake as long as 5 or more Republican’s keep getting in the race, or the little ego’s who try and tell us to vote by protest like you. Young Quayle won with only 22% of the vote, because the people who had no change stayed in the race to insure a Quayle victory. At least he lost up against a real conservative David Schweikert. I was called by Freedom Works to support Jeff, doesn’t anybody pay attention to who Freedom works is run by? Dick Armey who said the Republican’s need to get over Amnesty.

    • Van says:

      Don’t support Freedom works.

    • Westnash says:

Very true…adding fringe candidates is a game that just helps keep McCain in the $$$$. Also having a candidate that makes statements during a primary run that are so far out of the mainstream so as to make his full election impossible. If you understand Reagan you will see that he managed his wins with humor and appearing reasonable and making sure to not offend as many as he could. You look at Goldwater’s Presidential campaign and you see the opposite.

      • eubykdisop says:

And a candidate you think would be good would be one who wants to cut military spending across the board, supports gun control legislation, doesn’t want to “blame” Marxism and doesn’t want to spend a dime to make our borders more secure. Well, here, this is what you have said:

Why would we need a U. S. Senator who supports those things when we already have president, B. Hussein Obama, who agrees with you completely?

  6. Westnash says:

Great cut n paste Euby…….The candidate I would support would cut ALL government spending and get the obstacles out of the way of companies and individuals who would create private sector jobs.
