McCain formally rebuked, condemned by AZ GOP LD 26

Censures continue as district declares McCain “Poster child for term limits”

Tuesday evening, the Republican elected Precinct Committeemen of Legislative District 26 passed a ‘Resolution To Rebuke & Condemn’ Sen. John McCain by a 24 to 13 vote. Four abstentions were recorded. “John McCain is the poster child for term limits, his back room dealings, insatiable war drum, and eroding base, call to question why this man is our Senator. It is my hope that Senators McCain and Flake work to reestablish their relationships with the boots on the ground members of Legislative District 26 Republicans,” Third Vice Chairman Matt Papke commented.

Resolution of Rebuke of United States Senator John McCain

WHEREAS, Senator John McCain unilaterally negotiated with the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to secure Republican votes necessary to pass a number of controversial Presidential nominees.

WHEREAS, President Obama nominated:

Gina McCarthy for head of the Environmental Protection Agency, an environmental bureaucrat who supports anti-job/consumer policies.

Richard Corday to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFRB), an unaccountable, unconstitutional agency created by the Dodd-Frank legislation.

Thomas Perez as Labor Secretary who has a known record for abusing power as Maryland’s Labor Secretary, handing political appointments to Big-Labor bedfellows.

WHEREAS, Senator McCain provided the votes necessary for the confirmation of the above nominees.

WHEREAS, Senator McCain’s “deal” was nothing more than capitulation to the Senate Majority Leader, giving him everything he asked for.

WHEREAS, Senator McCain claims in defense of his actions, that they were taken to prevent the Senate Majority Leader from “going nuclear” and illegally breaking the Senate rules to pass these nominees.

WHEREAS, the position of Legislative District 26 Republicans is that senators should call the Senate Majority Leader’s bluff and force him to get the votes necessary from members of his own party.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Senator McCain do the following: cease dealing-making and negotiations for Republican votes that undermine the Senate Republican Leader.

FURTHERMORE, the conduct of Senator McCain, is unbecoming a Member of the United State Senate, weakened the Senate Republican Leader, and is hereby strongly rebuked and condemned. Sept 10, 2013

  1. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

Kudos to Chairman Raymond Jones for allowing this resolution and vote!! My only wish is that Jeff Flake had been included in the censure. They are two peas in a RINO pod.

    • eubykdisop says:

Yeah, ACG, isn’t it strange that somehow there’s no censure for JEFF FLAKE even though he lied to voters about the very number of terms he would serve as well as about his positions on immigration and amnesty!

  2. Mark Spencer says:

It’s about time. When I attended the Town Hall meeting in Tucson last week this condescending, arrogant, smug SOB continually dismissed the concerns of the constituents there. Agree with Arizona Conservative Guy, Here’s hoping McFlake is a one-time Senator. He jumped right onto the “go along to get along” band wagon as soon as he go to the District of Corruption.

    • eubykdisop says:

Well, Mark, JEFF FLAKE ignored the fact that the voters of Arizona clearly don’t want illegal alien amnesty and, along with Chicago Democrat Luis Gutierrez, co-authored the STRIVE Act illegal alien amnesty bill debunked in this video by Rep. Bilbray on the Lou Dobbs show:

“Bilbray exposes the amnesty scam contained in the Flake-Gutierrez legislation (STRIVE Act).”

  3. Fought For My Country says:

As a US Senator, hypocrite McCain has worked diligently against releasing information on U.S. MIAs and POWs held in Vietnam, doing all he could to keep it all classified. Why?
This video explains his stance very well:

    • eubykdisop says:

And JEFF FLAKE is no friend of veterans!

1 – Flake Was One Of 2 Members To Oppose Increasing Education Opportunities For Veterans
Support For Servicemembers And Families During Deployment.

In November 2009, Flake was one of two members to vote against HR 3949, sponsored by Rep. Bob Filner, D-Calif., to make provisions for increasing educational opportunities for servicemembers, stronger efforts nationally to support veterans, servicemembers and their families during deployment including greater flexibility for family cell phone plans, rental leases, and motor vehicle leases when servicemembers are deployed or required to change duty stations…The vote Tuesday was 382 yeas to 2 nays.

2 – Flake Voted To Cut Legal Assistance For Poor Veterans Fighting For Their Benefits.

In 2011, Rep. Flake voted for an amendment that made it harder for low-income veterans and Social Security recipients to hire a lawyer when fighting for their benefits. The Lummis amendment imposed a seven-month moratorium on all legal fees paid under the Equal Access to Justice Act, a Reagan-era law designed to help people afford an attorney while suing the government.

3 – Flake Was One Of 3 To Vote Against A Bill Providing Educational Assistance And Jobs Training For Post-9/11 Veterans.

In December 2010, Flake was one of 3 members to vote against HR 3447. The bill provides for less complex programs for veterans who have served on active duty since Sept. 11, 2001, pays benefits for on-job and vocational training, and makes service members eligible for an annual book allowance.

4 – Flake Opposed Bonuses for Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In 2003, Rep. Flake voted against an amendment to provide $1,500 bonuses for each service member serving in Iraq ad Afghanistan in fiscal 2004. The measure would have taken $265 million out of an account paying for Iraqi petroleum imports and put it into a military personnel fund to pay for the bonuses.

All of this from a man who voted FOR the war in Iraq but who NEVER himself served in the military!

GREAT JOB LD-26!!! HOWEVER, & just for the record…he doesn’t care…just like his friend eric holder doesn’t care that he’s currently in contempt of Congress!!

  5. Army Of One says:

Condemnations and censures are great! Impeachment of this poser (and his lying pal Jeff Flake) would be better!

Remember when a recall against McCain was gaining momentum? Interestingly, it was called off in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The state and country were too flummoxed to think of anything other than getting on the other side of that Muslim led atrocity perpetrated on innocent American civilians on US soil. The McCain Recall office was on north Central Ave. and was a hive of activity. I turned in several petitions and there were always people there doing the same. Most people have forgotten that John McCain actually benefited from the 9/11 tragedy.

    • willie says:

This pathetic Representative to the people of this State should have resigned in disgrace after his corrupt association with Charles Keating. After Keating was convicted he said: “I thought bribery was a two party crime, the recipient of the bribe being the most culpable!”. He is an opportunist of the first order. Supporting legislation that furthers his political career. Finding his support of the likes of Teddy Kennedy; Hillary; Feingold; John Kerry most beneficial! We should make every effort to recall or impeach both he Flake. Only an imbecile would compare a Muslim shouting “Allahu Akbar” while beheading an innocent man is the same as an American saying “Thank God”… A comparison McCain made on national TV, “Fox and Friends”~!~!!

This is all news to me, Army! I just did a quick Google search and found this on WND ! Very interesting info. Anyone up to trying to replicate this effort?

  7. Doc says:

From the WND article, “In his insatiable desire for massive national media attention, he has all but forgotten the people of Arizona who elected him.”…S.S.D.D….Let’s get him G-O-N-E ! ! !
