DACA:Trump disappointingly pivots goes “bipartisan”

AZ Chamber’s Hamer hammers on behalf of illegals

DACA, the acronym for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is getting a lot of play these days, mostly attempting to strum on citizens’ heartstrings with sympathetic stories of the “plight” of the so-called D.R.E.A.M.E.R.s.

It is, in fact,  a program thrust upon us as an illegal executive order (video) by Barack Obama, and is nothing less than a frontal assault on the Constitution and the rule of law. Since its inception in 2012, DACA has granted more than 800,000 recipients renewable, two-year work permits and a reprieve from deportation proceedings. A toothless “remedy,” it purportedly applies specifically  to illegals brought to the United States by their illegally invading parents before they were 16 years old. In order to qualify for this absurd generosity, they must have been age 35 or younger as of June 2012. There is no way to verify their claims, which makes enforcement of the program a complete farce — resulting in astronomical fraud rates.

Donald Trump was elected by Americans who believed his promise to secure our border, build a fortified fence and not offer incentives to invaders. His get tough on illegal immigration message was as effective and compelling as his economic message in resonating with American voters, propelling him to the front of the line of 17 GOP presidential candidates in 2016. Last week when he cut a disastrous deal with “Chuck and Nancy,” we took him to task for bending to the Democrat minority leaders’ whims.

Now the relationship appears to be ongoing. On Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi once again emerged from a meeting with President Trump sporting smiles. It’s being reported their ‘New  Deal’ specifies bipartisan legislation called the DREAM Act that provides eventual citizenship for illegals claiming they were brought here as children.

“We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides,” Pelosi and Schumer said in a joint statement.

Sorry folks.  It’s not “acceptable” to conservatives who worked to elect Trump. Rewarding demands and civil unrest staged by non-citizens  —  is not how a Representative Republic functions.

This past week The Arizona Republic newspaper once again leaped into full-blown Periódico de la República mode, giving prominence to a report titled,Arizona business leader wants Congress to legalize DACA recipients.”

And who might that “business leader” be?

None other than the reliable voice of illegal labor profiteers, Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Glenn Hamer, who Seeing Red AZ has covered previously. Two links are included in the post, Glenn Hamer: Heretic betrays GOP again, which follows Hamer’s career path from executive director of the Arizona Republican Party to endorsing radically left-wing Democrat Janet Napolitano for governor. Anything for a buck, as the saying goes.

It’s critically important to recognize the fact that these are not benign business leaders looking to grow their entities, but hard-hitting,  nefarious actors.  In July 2007, Seeing Red AZ exposed the left-of-center Arizona Chamber of Commerce’s announced plans to target Republican state lawmakers who were instrumental in guiding theFair and Legal Employment Act (more commonly known as the Employer Sanctions law) to passage.

As Ann Coulter tweeted this morning: If we’re not getting the wall, I’d prefer ‘President Pence’.

Trump’s using his “Art of the Deal” tactics with swamp creatures, and it’s not going to turn out well for US. He’s being tag-teamed and he doesn’t seem to see it.

Meanwhile, the oh-so-not-pretty Chelsea Manning, who was born Bradley Manning, has been named as a visiting fellow at Harvard’s JFK School of Government. SHe will be lecturing about the military and LBGTQrstuvwxyz issues.

The saying used to be: Join the Army and see the world.
Now, it’s join the military and get free hormones and free gender reassignment surgery.

Please continue to send good thoughts and prayers to those who have lost so much in the hurricanes. There’s lots of destruction and devastation in areas that were not given much news coverage, such as Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee.
In addition to property destruction and loss of electrical power, their wells and sewer systems have been seriously compromised.
    Huge public health issues looming.

My first thought after reading about Trump’s collusion with Pelosi and Schumer on this nightmare legislation legalizing illegals, was he’s a one termer, since I won’t lift a finger to pound a reelection sign, go door-to-door on his behalf or even vote for him. On further reflection, he will be the darling of the soon to be former illegals, who will support him. I divorced a lying spouse years ago and will divorce Donald Trump for the same reason.

This deceit is not what I voted for. I doubt Ben Carson, Scott Walker or Ted Cruz would have betrayed the citizens of the United States in this manner.

I’m the grandson of legal immigrants who didn’t make demands or hyphenate themselves. They were proud AMERICANS, first, last and always. The first generation kids were taught patriotism and the value of hard work and education. All of their kids, (my cousins and me) are professionals and Republicans!!

Please remember the media is propaganda. Who knows what the actual truth is?? My first response is extreme caution on this – Russian collusion is going nowhere (except for the Mueller witch hunt/opposition research) – but quite possibly implicating the Democrats.

Here’s Trump telling what he actually believes without “media” interpretation:

Republicans didn’t do our due diligence. We followed a pied piper. If you remember the message of the fable, he led the willing rodents off a cliff.

Whenever a leftist or an establishment republican talk about the Dreamers they always talk about the college graduates and those who ae trying to make a better life for themselves. I would guess that group is about two percent of the Dreamers. If the truth were known I would guess that the great majority are not even in school or are working in jobs that take cash and pay no taxes. I would also like to know how many Dreamers are on public assistance and have criminal records. It’s nice to look at the shiny paint on a car but what if the engine and the drive train are broken. Same thing as a magician’s slight of hand, look at this but don’t see that.

      My thoughts exactly.

I was a dedicated Trump believer who stood in line in the summer heat in Phoenix on two separate occasions to hear him. I wonder if his supportive crowds will stay on board after his flip flop on the issue that resonated at the top of most of their lists?

      I’m beyond disgusted.

I’d also like to hear from our GOP congressional delegation and the AZ Republican Party leaders on this betrayal. The usually talkative crew have been uncharacteristically silent.

  7. Conservative Since Birth says:

Trump has denied on Twitter that a deal on amnesty has been done.
Trump’s Tweets and a dinner with Pelosi and Schumer is not a bill,
    policy or law.

    Let’s see what shakes out.

However, if true, Trump will lose his base and when that happens
he will be exposed to impeachment and will have very little support
    to fight it.

Business Insider is reporting that Trump,is now flaoting a plan to raise taxes on “the wealthy.” Who “the wealthy” are is not defined.
This is the headline:, If they have to go higher, they’ll go higher’: Trump floats a tax increase on wealthy in bipartisan meeting.
      http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-taxes-on-rich-higher-rate-individual-2017-9

The wealthy are the ones who took the risks, worked long hours and made a good living. They provide the jobs that pay the bills for others. They are not the enemy and should not be characterized as such. Maybe Trump thinks this will make the middle and lower class think he is their pal. I’m comfortable, not “wealthy” but it doesn’t work for me. I own a home, two cars and our kids have all gone to college. My wife, who also works for a “wealthy” business owner, and I travel and generally enjoy life. None of that would be possible without the “wealthy” business owners who have created the need for the jobs we have.

  8. Arizona Conservative Guy says:

After Mitch McConnell’s floor speech, Schumer was caught on a hot mic discussing Trump with some of his aides.

“He likes us,” Schumer said. “He likes me, anyway.”

How nice that they have such a warm and fuzzy relationship. The way things are going, I’ve lost my enthusiasm.

  9. Saguaro Sam says:

Taking a look at the headline story on breitbart.com this afternoon, it appears that there are a LOT of folks who are upset about this. Some of the family members of US citizens killed or injured or assaulted by illegals are very distraught.

Trump should have called these family members of crime victims before he dined with the diabolic Dems. He certainly knew how to reach out to them when he needed their votes.

Rush Limbaugh apparently said today that the Dems and the media are working together to separate Trump from his base.

  10. Barbara Espinosa says:

All we hear about is “the children” DACA was intended for under 16 not adults who now know they are here illegally and have done nothing to become citizens. Nothing is been said or done about holding the parents accountable who brought their children here illegally.
